Strike A Pose! V.4 - The Macross Mech Pose Thread
m0n5t3r replied to JCSaves's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
finally! some pics on this page! ... MORE!!! (can't wait for my Armored 25S... 8 more days to go... then i'll have a reason to pick up my cam again ) -
is this confirmed/written on the box? LOL!!! imo you're not really buying a VF100 valk, instead you're paying out of your a$$ for the metallic paint/finish, the stands and for the exclusivity... EDIT - BTW, couldn't they have at least fit the word "the" to "Songstress of Galaxy"... and i'm not sure about this but "Super Dimensional Cinderella" sounds better to me than "Super Dimension Cinderella"...

would work better w/ a black valk instead of a white one... hmmmm... an idea popped in my head... when the new M&M valks come out and when they make a 1/60 Stealth, it'd be cool to swap the arms and legs of the M&Ms to make a ZOD vs. SuperValk pose... -

i agree... good "package" price... although maybe he didn't factor in the S/H yet??? -
+1 on the 1/60 v2 Stealth w/ 1S head... the yellow stripe on the new 1/60 Roy LV(or LV-Stealth hybrid if you ask me) is really throwing me off (plus i'm not buying that whole cockamamie marketing story they came up w/... )... the stealth scheme is just right... on-topic... great pics of the Stealth 1/48 Gunpod!

great job! awesome display room!... reminded me i used to have "my room" in our house before it was taken over by my kids and filled w/ their toys/junk, stuffed animals, kids table+chairs, blackboard/whiteboard etc. etc. but still, great job esp. using the leftover glass... most probably tempered so hopefully it won't break and just split...

woohoo! finally got confirmation that my buddy in HK got my VF-25S and for less than what i was expecting it would cost! i just need to be patient and wait for it to be hand delivered next week... good thing all this talk of the VF-25S Armored and it's qc is starting to numb me... i guess when i get mine i'll just take it for what it is and enjoy it just like what the G-man said... but i'm still hoping i won't get anything worse than what i've been reading about... -

from memory... ep 1 and/or 2... ep7 "Planet Dance" sequence where Ozma does that multiple targeting display thingy... just guessing, but maybe the additional armor parts near the head in f-mode makes it difficult or impossible to keep the neck extension in there... @ff95gj - really interested to hear your comments about the QC on your Armored VF-25S... tried an online translator for your TD review but i got cr@p and couldn't really understand anything, lol -

great pics man! w/ the armor on, it definitely matches up well to the model kit. i'm torn about w/c mode i like better, fighter or battroid!!! anyways... care to elaborate about your "HATE Bandai's QC" comments when you got your armored ozma??? -

can't read a lick of japanese, lol... but i'm loving the cow skull on the chest armor, now i'm thinking i have to display it in b-mode... ... b-mode w/out armor looks so much better w/ the new neck and head lasers (did anybody ever confirm if the whole head is new???) i hope they re-issue a stand-alone ozma w/ the upgrades... i'm seriously thinking i would want one as a play and abuse vf-25 ... i still think its a shame you can't display that big badass cow skull in fighter mode w/ the SPs or armor on... -
nice macross revo poses esp. the soccer ones and the group shot using the flexi stands! made me miss my macross revos

nice! and it can stand on it's own w/ the armor on... posing will pretty much be non-existent but at least it can be displayed in b-mode w/out the stand. -

sweet! stand is still unpainted though. -
so it seems that we've been buying experimental Yammies for almost a year now valk w/ crappy shoulders hinges, valk w/ non-cracking but looser hinge... valk w/ these markings and that, valk w/out... valk w/ markings tampoed, valk stickered up to match... valk w/ PITA crotch, valk w/ new crotch they could've just asked from the start... poll here would probably have 99% say print everything.
-
thanks guys... but both you guys definitely take better pics... i posted a 1600x1200 copy of the orig already here for you - http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...st&p=776857 ...tell me if you need an even bigger copy...

...taking another stab at taking low light pics w/ my brand-spankin' new 30ยข black background (i know... table top is dirty... ) ...i think i'll stick w/ natural light.
-
just followin' your lead, man, just followin' your lead...
-
last one... Roy just showing off while hammered. (sorry, lost the sunlight on the background...)
-
me too! can't effin' figure out why the hell Yamato would do s3x-change on these fixed-pose hands...
-
well, you're not the only one fooled... the first time i saw his flexi poses even in f-mode, i thought - "how the hell did he do that?!?!"... after looking more closely, i figured out his technique and that's what got me sold on these flexi stands... ingenious really... just pose the valk first in your hands, try to support it using 2 rods only and then find the cog and use the third rod to support it... we should really get some kind of royalty for advertising these stands...
