  1. me too! can't effin' figure out why the hell Yamato would do s3x-change on these fixed-pose hands...
  2. well, you're not the only one fooled... the first time i saw his flexi poses even in f-mode, i thought - "how the hell did he do that?!?!"... after looking more closely, i figured out his technique and that's what got me sold on these flexi stands... ingenious really... just pose the valk first in your hands, try to support it using 2 rods only and then find the cog and use the third rod to support it... we should really get some kind of royalty for advertising these stands...
  3. there are some poses w/c surprisingly can be balanced using only 2 rods... looks to me though that a majority of ruskii's flexi poses actually use all 3 rods just like his last one w/ his tv max, but it looks like he's only using 2 coz he strategically uses one of the rods as a counter to one of the other rods to balance the weight of the valk where it would usually fall if not supported.
  4. ruskii inspired balancing act...

  7. afaik the coating is on the inside of the canopy...
  8. thanks guys! ... the thing about the 2 valks on 1 flexi pose is that it looks 100x better in person... seeing it from one angle via pics just doesn't do it enough justice. i actually felt bad when i had to remove the valks from the stand to put them away... when i get the upcoming v.2 M&M 1Js, i will definitely display them in a similar fashion w/ hands clasped.
  9. here's something else i haven't seen done before - 2 valks on one flexy. Roy pulling an overeager rookie hikaru from a gunfight... ...although, IMO it would look better w/ the M&M 1Js.

  14. awesome pics everyone... here's the original resized at 1600x1200. if you manage to clean it up and make it look better w/ PS, i wouldn't mind it if you'd throw it back my way... i could use a new wallpaper for my old laptop. BTW, love the movie... you reminded me that i should watch it again sometime... A.T. is absolutely hilarious. EDIT - add pic from flexy pose thread...
  15. great job everybody esp. jesus christ there taking over this thread! i'll join in on the fun with a couple quick non-paparazzi shots before i go (too lazy to set-up my ghetto studio a la Vegas)... pose just popped in my head - Roy goin' rambo-ape-sh!t w/ his strike cannon here's one i also want to share w/c i took last week (thanks to mr. chogokin for letting me copy his pose )

  18. somebody on a local board translated the quoted kanji in the picture (at the very bottom. the part after the first 2 concentric circles) - http://ngeekhiong.blogspot.com/2009/08/com...-revoltech.html "完全変形" w/c reads "kanzen henkei" w/c the guy says essentially means perfect transformation. (credit translation by seele01) ... now if it really is PT, i'm really interested to see some prototypes soon... i wanna see how the heck they'll incorporate the revoltech joint for a PT valk.
  19. er... how do you manage to slip all those valks past her??? sly
  20. btw, just want to add that i like izzyfcuk's set-up the best... and of course his off-the-charts pics... lol, still trying to digest all that info... lol but seriously, i pretty much get what your saying except - yep. doing the same thing... i just want to have the background w/ less noise... i'll try these out and see if it works or if it's just a matter of the limitations of my cam...
  21. lol, i use my phone's led flash/light... ... but i hate the noisy background i get... i'm thinking of buying some black felt paper for a background... i read somewhere that it's a good non-reflective surface esp. the black one... yeah, got those... i get the long exposure thing but not so sure about spot metering... i think i've tried this a couple of times but i don't remember the results (was just playing around and not really paying attention)... btw, the spot metering thing can only be set to center or auto-focus point... tips???
  22. nah, you know you don't need 'em expensive a$$ flashes... w/ your recent barrage of pics the last few months, i've come to appreciate and prefer shooting w/ just natural light... that and my cheap a$$ cam isn't really that great when it comes to taking low light pics just like how you and Vegas shoot... or i may be doing it all wrong ugly: (shot this last month so i can't remember the settings i used, but i do remember using a low iso )

  24. well, that's Yamato for you, inconsistent... guess somebody's claim that Yamato would be tampo printing everything on upcoming valks, coz "it's the current trend" aint true... @ ff95 - so does the CF 1A have the new crotch??? wow, you got two!!! man, i'm dyin' of envy here!
  25. looks scary... but cool that you'd do that. actually , w/ a little patience and some balancing the rubber tops are okay for displaying ~1/144 sized figures... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...st&p=772337
