  1. yeah, i get what you mean... it took awhile for me to really get into it. i guess from the show, i just kinda prefer the VF-25's design over the VF-27. i think the ravings for the DX 27 is due more to the fact that the DX 25 sucks when compared to each other.
  2. i personally prefer the v.2's articulated hands that makes it technically PT... never had any use for those fixed-pose hands that comes w/ the v.2 1/60's. plus it's a minor pain when those swappable hands for smaller figs gets loose and can't hold a weapon as firmly as it could when it's bnew.
  3. ...surfing amiami site... was surprised they still have a lot of DX VF-27s and the price is back down to when it first came out (25% off).
  4. that's it??? IMO, the reason why we see more complaints about Yamato products on this board is because we all know that there's a possibility that it reaches them if it's a big enough issue... and maybe we can get replacement parts or updates or whatever. As for the evil empire of Bandai:P... they just don't f'n care... great if they decide to send replacement parts for wrong parts from an exclusive product, but if they decide they don't want to replace your SWS leg armor or broken parts/hinges or decide to package extra fists (wtf!?!?) and whatever else as an exclusive, etc. etc...

    Limited Exclusives

it used to be these exclusive items made you feel that your collection was somehow made more special... you were willing to pay extra for the "exclusivity"... and the hunt for it was the exciting part. these days, there are so many exclusives that the less popular ones don't sell out and their prices drop eventually... w/c is a good thing if you really want that particular figure, but it loses its so-called "exclusivity"/"rarity" status... now, it just feels to me like a kick in the nuts whenever an exclusive item is announced that i really want to have.
  6. yes, but for me, removing that part makes it easier to transform.
  7. like this - http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=143&view=findpost&p=660781 screw that's on that side only might be turned too tight.
  8. i think he's more concerned about the glass surface being too slippery??? just like how my YF-21 keeps wanting to do a split if i try to make it stand on a glass surface...
  9. love that VF-1A whale hunter custom! ...i'd rather have that one in 1/60. plus the "view attachment pic upgrade" is a very welcome update to the site.
  10. cool... the site looks like it did before the upgrade... i actually just leave it like that, coz if you mount the tabs flush on the arm it'll be a b!tch to take off... and you're gonna want to take it off when you transform it to b-mode.
  11. blu-tack. i had the same concern when i first got the first of my glass display cabs... i thought of using blu-tack, but never did. so far nothing has fallen over even if i shake my cabs. but i recently displayed my v.2 M&M 1Js in b-mode and i was reminded of how tricky it is to make the v.2 VF-1 w/ FPs stand straight up.
  12. nice! liking the colors... if it does turn out to be non-transformable, maybe *somebody here can convince Yamato to change their mind about this.
  13. well, the arm that's showing looks just about the same length as the 1S Roy there... plus it looks like it might be on an acrylic riser... hope there will be official pics soon of everything in the event.
  14. whoops... thanks... still not used to site's new look plus thread too far down.
  15. so it's confirmed that 1/3000 is the scale? bigger than 1/48... cool w/ me! i agree with your math...
  16. so these are two products? one, 8295Yen, for just the Zentradi Uniform? it could be 1/60 coz the arm looks short and it looks like it's on an acrylic riser. ...then another overpriced HDP exclusive offering (Regult w/ mini pilot)??? time for those rich dudes who got the 1/2000 SDF-1 to preoder this and fund a mass production one .
  17. now that we have an idea about the size... how much do i need to put aside for this?
  18. that the mass prod. one???... cool!
  19. there... that's more like it. but i do agree that they're not as heavily invested in Macross as Yamato is, so i'm w/ the camp that's not expecting them to make the more obscure VF-1s... definitely not expecting them to come out w/ non-canon paint schemes... but if they somehow do, expect it to be some kind of exclusive (mo' money!!!).
  20. cool. although i would prefer if it said VF-X2. also, price indicates that this could just be a VF-1/VF-1X(?)... still, it's pretty good news in terms of what could be next after this...
  21. AFAIK, it's whiter... pure white, same as all the TV valks released so far.
  22. WTF is that VF-1J's left hand doing!?!?!?!? ...nice to see this thread sorta coming back to life...
  23. +1 me too!... i need me a replacement left vertical stab for my 1/60 VF-1S focker. any chance Graham's alternate source could be the new replacement parts service?
