  1. guess you haven't seen this pic yet then... sorry, didn't get it... what fate would that be exactly? it'll sell out in a week and be re-issued a few months later?... or an unpainted kit version will come out later on?
  2. i think you should email Yamato with that pic of your collection you recently posted and tell them that you've bought almost every damn Macross toy they've ever released starting with the 1/48s and that they do really owe you these 2 Destroids.
  3. yep, looks okay between the two. but i suspect the joints might be extended at the knees and ankles (for GERWALK purposes) to make it a bit taller. any pics beside the M&M or Gamlin's VF-22S?
  4. had to do a double-take... i thought you said "discontinued"... i'm w/ you there... doesn't have to be discounted like the 22s recently were, but I definitely want to pay less than the $250+ (w/ s/h) it's going for right now. gotta stop reading eugimon's posts...
  5. that transformation sequence to battroid (esp. the cockpit part) is truly awesome!
  6. just keep it in Fighter mode and pretend it's not broken... it's not your fault. the plastic on that is total crap. I myself have sworn off buying any more of Bandai's DX Macross stuff after discovering a cracked shoulder joint (the part where the hollow pin is inserted) on my DX Monster... there were no cracks when I first got it and I just transformed it once to its destroid/gerwalk mode and displayed it like that ever since. after the v.2 VF-1 and VF-25S cracked hinges episodes, i've grown tired of complaining and just display them in a mode where I can't see these cracked plastic parts.
  7. i think this pic pretty much confirms it. don't really remove the intake covers on any of my Yamato valks anyway. can't recall, but was it ever shown in the show with the intake covers retracted?
  8. "sugoi" indeed! hope there'll be a video soon for the transformation to battroid. and that pic of the Kai with the 11C looks okay, the chunkiness kinda makes up for the lack in height. i just thought it might look weird if anybody's planning to display the 1/60 Kai with the 1/60 M&M VF-22s in b-mode.
  9. here's the size chart from M3 makes me wonder which 1/60 Yamato valk they'll use for reference for the VF-17's height in battroid.
  10. that's coz you prefer the real Variable Fighter between the two. i wanna see a comparison pic in b-mode between the Kai and the VF-11C. the 11C is supposed to be around 2.5m shorter according to M3 site.
  11. it's gonna look tiny beside the massive b-mode of the 21/22...
  12. wtf? why is the Kai so much shorter than the YF-19 in b-mode? so, if we do get a v2 YF-19, it's gonna be that short?
  13. oops. wrong thread. hehe hope this 1/60 VF-17D turns out well...
  14. i'll probably pick this one up May 2012... ...when it goes on sale on HLJ.
  15. picked this up and the first one last weekend while in Tokyo. also got the VF-1 vol.2 and VF-19 Master File books and found a minty Macross Perfect Memory book and a Macross Plus Movie Edition book. my first venture into collecting Japanese language books... damn heavy books to lug around!
  16. dang! i wish i had known about this... I just got back from Tokyo, been there since Friday... stayed at Shinjuku... although i'm not sure if i would line up for a magazine release if i didn't know that SK would be there. At least i now know that I was just a few miles from him at the time, lol.
  17. i got my Konig Monster from them. i liked that they cut the box/carton to the exact size of the toy's box to minimize the the s/h costs... the carton is thick and sturdy and they bubblewrap the box for the toy itself.
  18. it's actually around 400-500HKD cheaper if you were able to preorder it from the HK sellers coz these new ones will come from their local Yamato supplier instead of from Japan like the first release.
  19. amen, indeed. btw, locus.hk has these two a little bit cheaper... preorder deadline is tomorrow.

    1/60 Yamato Glaug

yeah, 1/60 toy version please... ha! 6600 Yen would probably just get you one of those arm cannons. btw, nice avatar... where's that from?
  21. i'm sure the landing gears will be one of the things they got from the DX VF-27. is this the only paint scheme that came out in the movie?
  22. looks ok in b-mode. i wanna see how that enormous backpack looks in side-view. i like the better proportions... i hope the feet are already extended all the way out... i like the longer torso but i'm not sure how ugly it will look in person seeing too much of the open front landing gear and that waist joint... smaller crotch... the more i keep looking at the pic the more i see a proper DX VF-25....
