  1. i love the new Super O... too bad about the shoulder hinges though. probably why it didn't sell out as fast as the Elint. speaking of the VF-1D... i'm still wishing Yamato would reissue this with the updated crotch. I would gladly buy another one.
  2. that's exactly what i've been thinking. but you'll never know with Yamato... i got my M&M 1Js 6 mos. after the initial release. it had been sold out in HK but I was lucky enough that there was a limited resupply when I went there last year. i was actually gunning for a pair with damaged boxes selling for HK$750 each, but it was already sold by the time i got there. although i'm glad that i got ones with mint boxes coz they look good side by side -
  3. anybody else experiencing paint transfer between the metal shoulder hinges and the sides of the head of their 1/60 VF-11B in fighter mode? i don't mind the paint chips on the shoulder hinges but the ones on the orange stripe on the head is not okay. and the tab that's supposed to keep the front fuselage/cockpit section in place when in fighter is slowly crumbling away.
  4. yeah, my bad, only the "soles" are die-cast... same on the VF-27. i'm curious about what the mag says about the rest of the improvements...
  5. articulated hands and VTOL wing boosters are a nice touch. why are the feet color-coded in yellow... not metal anymore?
  6. transformed my SV-51 to battroid for the first time... w/ the YF-19.
  7. i think everyone's wishing for that. my only real complaints about the current 1/60 YF-19 are the gullet and the fit issues in fighter mode. if Yamato does make a 1/60 v.2 YF-19, i hope they go back to the ratcheted ankles... not really liking the metal rod+balljoint that the Kai is sporting. bleah...
  8. i got one... i wish i had gotten 2... pretty cheap back then compared to how much it's selling for now.
  9. A@Renato that's weird... so, if you order one from HLJ, you can't have it mailed to your address there in Tokyo? weird.
  10. just checked mine and yeah, no problems as long as you place it on the bare plastic. the valks i've had on flexis have been on the stands for 6mos. to 1 year, although I do pick them up from time to time for dusting and cleaning. i place the tips mostly under the nosecone or on the landing gear doors, the feet and the gap between the thigh and knee cap.
  11. too bad for Japan residents but pretty good for the rest of us. I remember I saw one at Mandarake, Nakano for around 15k JPY a couple of months ago... good thing i didn't get it. the VF-X and AB 2nd run is similar to the re-issue of the TV CF, Max and Kaki (w/ new crotch and clear canopy). i was told that these were to be sold though Yamato's website and for Japan residents only when it was first released... after a few months it was available from HLJ (and on sale!) and from HK shops. the VF-X is still relatively more expensive compared to how much I got most of my v.2 VF-1s, but then again, this was a Macross Chronicle exclusive when it first came out, so I'm not compaining.
  12. sorry... misread the word "discontinued"... i am glad than I got one of these... and very thankful to Yamato for doing a non-exclusive, albeit very limited second run for the 1/60 VF-X. i would've never had the chance to own one otherwise since i don't buy any exclusives with inflated prices. for those still on the fence, there are still 6 available from where I got mine - http://www.locushk.com/index.php?sp=&p=6&cat2=1339&cat1=155&cat0=24&id=3985&cat1=155&cat0=24&new=&more=〈=en
  13. here's my 19 after doing some maintenance work on it.
  14. since everybody's bustin' out their YF-19s, i decided to fiddle around with mine... here's the screw that i tightened. it's for the outward movement of the upper arm: unfortunately the screws that should tighten the rotating motion of the whole arm assembly are covered by that I-shaped piece of plastic at the armpit area of the YF-19... and it looks like it's been glued on (at least on mine). what you can do if it's loose is you can try to squeeze some super glue between the light brown colored shoulder part and the rotating gray colored upper arm part to increase the friction between those parts. mine isn't too loose yet, but when it does become too loose, i'll probably do that. aside from that, i put some super glue to the sliding "spine" and the hinges for the chest part (to help tighten that part in b-mode). most of these parts/hinges can't be seen in any of the 3 modes, so putting super glue on these parts is not an issue for me. the super glue fix i did for the hip joint seems to be holding up.
  15. i always like seeing pics of the 19 and 21 together... reminded me of these old pics... i just realized i took these exactly 2 years ago tomorrow.
  16. i had this happen on my YF-19 when i lodged one of the tips between the leg and the inside of one of the leg fins. it took a tiny piece of the black paint when i removed my YF-19 from the stand. that was around 2 years ago... ever since then i only place the tips on the bare plastic parts, away from any painted or tampoed part... as if my YF-19 wasn't beat up already... now i want a new, version 2 YF-19...
  17. yeah, i kinda figured out that new stuff always gets there either on Friday or Saturday... i just got it online and had it shipped to my friend so he wouldn't have to look for it... plus local s/h is free, just like you told me...
  18. you can check here - http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=21130 i remember i tightened the hip joint by disassembling it and coating the metal ball joint with nailpolish a couple of years ago. i think for the shoulders i just tightened the screws.
  19. iirc, shops there open after 4pm. they close early on weekdays and Sundays. on Saturdays some shops are open up until 11pm. check In's Point which is one station below MK at Yau Ma Tei station. near the corner of Nathan and Waterloo... that's where i got most of my Yamatos from whenever i visit HK.
  20. that's awesome! the ability to do the A-stance alone makes a world of difference. thanks for sharing this. hopefully when this gets done you'll be able to share higher-res pics and close-ups, esp. of the bridge.
  21. from - http://tformers.com/transformers-botcon-2011-hasbro-masterpiece-rodimus-prime-images-costs-$4999-at-retail/15827/news.html
  22.
  23. the Hasbro Rodimus looks okay in his car mode. but the new color of the face makes Rodimus look reaaaallyyyyy old. it's like his face is going to turn into ash anytime soon. i hope they will list the improvements made from the Takara one, like the spring on the feet issue i've read about etc. etc. care to share the new problem with MP09? I don't think i'll ever have the courage to transform mine after hearing over and over that it has "SO many things wrong" with it. EDIT - i'll probably get this when it has been cleared to have no issues when transformed... just so I can experience transforming it... and maybe my MP09 Trailer, which has been kept in the box, might finally have some use.
  24. I like the FAST Packs in battroid mode, not so much when in fighter mode. there... better pic... no "baboon" head... from MAHQ I hope they're making the Diamond Force VF-17D... i like it with the blue stripes and the chest insignia. i was browsing the Sci-Fi section, new Voltron thread. Now there's a robot without any hands! it has mouths for hands!... and for feet... and a mouth head with a face in it...
  25. that and it doesn't transform... and i've never really been fond of grunt mechas. i also have limited display space and budget... i'd rather buy another VF even if it's a repaint.
