    HLJ Yamato Sale!!!

you can adjust the handle of the gunpod a little... move it out just a little and it'll angle the gunpod ever so slighty while attached to the arms in f-mode. here's a pic... the clearance i very minimal but the front sight doesn't touch the ground. i'm thinking i have too many VF-1s already but now that i displayed my VF-1J Hik w/out the armor beside TV Max, i'm tempted to get TV Kaki... it's just the crappy exchange rate that's stopping me.
  3. i too prefer Scott/Stig's character over Rand/Rey... plus they have similar looking bikes.... and even if Lancer/Yellow's bathing, undressing, singing scenes make me cringe every single time, his bike is just way too cool. Rook/Hoquet ---> character & bike = HOT! http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=32804&view=findpost&p=905599
  4. iirc, there was news about a Bandai and SHE collaboration for a transforming Escaflowne Guymelef last year... EDIT - found pics... i hope this hasn't turned into vaporware. (sorry if i hijacked this thread by posting Bandai info on a Yamato thread)
  5. VF-17D? does it say there on the poster (the writing) or did you just infer that from the number of antennae/head lasers on the silhouette? ... i remember Graham saying here on this thread that it would be the S first before the D. ...i'm not complaining... i prefer the D also.
  6. i'd definitely go for that. since i don't have any of the newer valks, my fave valk to transform right now is my VF-11B. although, i hope they make that tab that locks the front fuselage in f-mode stronger... mine has crumbled away and i had to replace it using a piece of gray plastic from an old sprue tree and some super glue. after repeated transformations with the fixed tab, it seem to me that my fix is more durable than the original tab.
  7. just let them shake each others crotch then... the YF-29 has a "loose" crotch after all...
  8. i use a make-up brush too!............................................................ for the toys on a related note... i just cleaned my display cabinets and treated the wood parts with lysol to prevent mildew growth since it's already rainy season here which causes moisture build up...
  9. not 100% sure about this info but I heard from one of the sellers i get from here locally that only 40% of the planned production for the YF-29 made it out during the initial release. i hope it's true and the other 60% will be available in the market soon.
  10. @ EXO, Jasonc, 505thAirborne - thanks for the solicited urgings! i went back for it today and mulled over it for some minutes until the shop owner offered a 5% discount if i bought it right there and then. that sealed the deal and i'm now the proud owner of a 1/10 Toynami Scott Bernard VR-052F (probably the last one that's for sale here in Asia). i just realized it's been more than 2 years since this was released ... i still see a few of the Rands around but i've never been able to find a Scott/Stig the past couple of years (although i wasn't really looking in earnest)... but then i read on this thread a few weeks ago that there will never be any more of these produced coz of what happened to Beagle. now i'm just happy that i have one despite the shortcomings that have been mentioned previously in this thread and in the reviews that i've read...
  11. here's my contribution...
  12. i just saw a Toynami Scott Bernard VR-025F at a local store for around $200 (converted from local currency)... i'm thinking i should get this since it's pretty much sold out everywhere... when i saw it, "lonely soldier boy" was suddenly playing in my head, lol. i should get this, right?
  13. yeah, YF-25 would be one i wouldn't stop to think about buying.
  14. coz they're a bunch of lazy sons-of-b!tches that just want to take our money as quickly as possible through preorders...
  15. YF-19? while i'm fairly satisfied with my YF-19, i would wait for news about a new 1/60 YF-19 based on the VF-19 Kai mold. You've waited this long...
  16. just finished reading book 3... damn! i had to stop at around p. 482 coz of shock, sadness and disbelief. on to the next book...
  17. on the toy you just detach the legs from the hip joint block. it kinda looks stupid coz the whole underside of the plane is 'empty' and the main thrusters obviously don't connect to anything. when i disassembled my YF-21 a year ago for some joint maintenance i removed the legs but disassembled the bottom plates from the legs and attached them in fighter mode.
  18. from "order stop", it now says "July Restock" http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN968698 guess what the local shop here told me about restocks arriving in 2-3 weeks time is true... if i can scrounge up enough spare cash, i might just get this... damn all of you and your pics!
  19. thanks! and yeah, i meant US produced animated series. it's been a while since Avatar finished so I'm really looking forward to watching an animated series where I won't have to read any subtitles.
  20. what would be truly awesome is a life-size (1:1 scale) VF in fighter mode....... without landing gears.
  21. MP Black Rodimus - http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/ehobby-masterpiece-9b-black-rodimus-convoy-revealed/22221/ hurt my eyes looking at the pics
