  1. it's been a while since i bought anything Macross and i actually sold off a few in the last year. This is the first time in months i've paid any attention to my toys, so might as well take a pic of my Macross TV collection since i just got an updated VF-1D w/c i've been waiting for for a few years now. (also posted pic of my DYRL collection i posted a while back). ...still haven't painted my Fan Racer, haha
  2. oh, and one more thing, the neck looks so much better with the updated crotch... not too much collar showing (for those who bitch about the head placement of the v.2 VF-1s being grossly lineart inaccurate )
  3. Easy enough to slide in, but a real pain to take out... And because it was difficult to take out, scratching the paint off of the metal hinge was more likely to happen.
  4. ^ yup, shoulders are good, crotch is updated and canopy isn't tinted. I was hoping that the visors on the head would be a brighter green just like on the TV 1S Focker that i have. As for my own question... The seats from the option parts are glued so you can't have the single seat config. popping out of the neck of the 1D... Gotta get that from one of the single-seater reissues w/ option parts.
  5. Hehe, yep. I just took a chance too and dropped by the store... With so much inventory there, its better to check their stocks yourself. Its great that they restocked and you got one since its sold out everywhere else or prices are jacked up. I hope they reissue Hikaru's VF-1A (w/ option parts) since that's the only DYRL valk i want that i haven't gotten yet.
  6. Congrats on your first 2-seater vince... Got mine too a few days ago from GT Alabang. The option parts are pretty cool.
  7. ever since Yamato updated the crotch attachment for their 1/60 VF-1s i've been waiting for an updated VF-1D, so technically I didn't double-dip ... plus all my other TV VF-1s have the updated crotch. The option parts that are included are a definite plus since you could only previously get these as a Wonderfest exclusive. I too would only get any of these new VF-1s (where's the Stealth!) IF they came with the option parts... and i won't be double-dipping on any of the other re-issues w/ option parts esp. since i got most of my standalone VF-1s for $90 or less. it's a shame it took Yamato 4 years to include the side and neck covers plus the seats... something that we wanted from the start.
  8. Never underestimate these toymakers' ability to make you double dip...
  9. Awesome pics! I'm late to the party again as usual, but i still managed to just get one today for a fairly decent price ($128) considering this is my fave valk of all time, this sold out pretty quick, and the only way now to get an updated 1/60 VF-1D is with the upcoming kit. I haven't had time to open mine yet, but could somebody share if the seat parts are glued together or can be taken apart (to display with just one seat)?
  10. Yay! Finally, a VF-1D reissue... I've been wanting to get a 2nd unit for a couple of years now.
  11. love my Rand Cyclone...
  12. not from HLJ, but great deal nonetheless (for those who still don't have this) http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10115367
  13. i have to agree that i'm liking how this is going compared to the MacF movies (i prefer the MacF TV series)... i just hope it doesn't have an ending that's similar to the 00 movie. glad i got these when i did -
  14. tested it... works fine with any BD rip of ep. 4.
  15. found these subs for ep. 04 (and 1-3 also)... haven't tested them yet though... - http://www.nyaa.eu/?page=torrentinfo&tid=260556
  16. just saw the magi oar forest ep. better than the last episode... theme and the twist was kinda kid's stuff... i liked the itano circus wannabe scene.
  17. haha... you changed it... i was actually thinking your new sign would be better than the previous one (and coz i wear 'em ) are these super parts priced the same as the old v.1 super parts?
  18. here's the old "shoulder hinge replacement" thread - http://www.macrosswo...ndpost&p=929255 sorry to hear about your VT-1, but you're a couple of months late coming here to look for replacements. I don't think contacting Graham at this point will do any good since he already gave away all the replacement hinges he had... if you know somebody living in Japan, you can ask them to try contacting Yamato - http://eng.yamato-to...pany/index.html ...i think as long as you're a Japan resident, they'll send you the replacement part/s you need. This is the Yamato Customer Service number: 03-3526-6080
  19. i finally watched ep. 7... i thought it was going to be boring just like the last few episode. finally some action, and lots of it. d'ling ep. 8, can't wait to watch it...
  20. \ask ff95gj... he's got a spreadsheet of all the Macross toys he's bought
  21. i agree that the DX v.1s were more of a "WTF Bandai!", esp. after they announced the v.2s just some months after releasing the 25G Tornado and re-issuing the 25F... WTF indeed. i've been really careful buying stuff these past few years, but my "meh" purchase a few years back were these: i tried hard to like 'em in lieu of the 1/60 versions, but being small and not transformable, i quickly lost interest and eventually sold them. how could you be content with those if you could have these instead :
  22. w/ SSPs, definitely. didn't like the color of the 1S low-viz they made for the v.2 1/60 (its like they mixed the 1/48 stealth and low-viz colors)... i prefer the color scheme of the VFX... a 1/60 low-viz with the same color scheme as the 1/48 would be hard to say no to, but make it a 1S or 1J.
  23. they're kidding, right? 20 JPY discount?
  24. addendum to letter for bandai... can you please stop making every other toy release a g'damn web exclusive...
