  1. A month ago, sure... but when Arcadia eventually releases a brand new DYRL Focker 1S, it WILL seem high. A good price for the 30th anniv. DYRL w/ o.parts during the panic would be ~$135-150, imo... Or at least that's how much i saw they were selling for before people started jacking up the prices to 190-200++.
  2. 7. You have so much money coming out of you ass you don't know what to do with it...
  3. I'm personally hoping for new paint schemes rather than reissues since the ones that i felt some regret not getting (when Yamato folded) were obscure and didn't get reissued. Although i'm sure Arcadia will be releasing the more prominent hero valks... for those who missed out. I really hope the higher price of the 30th anniv. VF-1J by Arcadia is an exception and not the new standard. The problem with it being a web exclusive limited release is that resellers will get it at msrp. They then will mark it up further so those who can't get it directly from Arcadia will have to pay over msrp. Unless HLJ can get the same deal it got to sell the VFX, Angel Birds and VF-4.
  4. I don't think Macross Panic 2013 is done yet based on people's recent buying/selling activities... Prices are still sky high, 200-400 dollar VF-1s are still being bought and sold. Lol.I'm curious to know what the impact of the uncertainty of the reasoning behind the high price of 30th anniv. VF-1J(by ARCADIA) will be on buyers and sellers alike.
  5. I hope they show a pic of it bare then...
  6. Now the VT-1 head (in b-mode) is what i would consider ugly. Though i still can't decide which is the uglier battroid head... the VT's or the VE's.
  7. Saw this thread back from the dead and checked my 21. I totally forgot that i've had it displayed for half a year now in 'delimiter' mode, lol.
  8. The SV-51 is one of those older valks of mine that i've always thought of selling (coz my wife doesn't like it) but never can... As a rule of mine, i prohibit myself from buying enemy mecha... a way to limit my toy spending ). But the SV-51's design, esp. in fighter mode, is just so badass i always end up convincing myself that i need a physical representation of it in my collection. Congrats on the purchase... Can't wait to see pics when you're done customizing it.
  9. Graham gave out a ton of VT-1 no-gnerl hinges he got from Yamato for free... I figured that was when people started buying out the remaining VT-1s and it sold out. I got a pair of the cream colored ones for mine and a few white ones for $2. That was like ages before shapeways fix came out.
  10. Reserve it for when you get a Max DYRL VF-1.
  11. all valks in fighter looks nice and clean Yes... Kicker has everything! I suddenly had an urge to display my SDF-1 in cruiser mode. i still like my old, more symmetrical set-up better. I'll probably switch back to it when I get tired of my SDF-1 in its current mode.
  12. First time i've read through this thread coz it seemed pretty obvious that it's going to be 1/60 all the way... It's funny though, everything that's being said here is pretty much exactly what people were saying way back in '08 during the initial release of the 1/60 v.2 VF-1s.
  13. I'd like to see what it looks like without all those decals.
  14. You can a better pose for Max and the 1J by bending the elbow a bit more... They're double-jointed Haha, i remember the time when i only had 1 cab and those 3 VF-1S valks (and a few other things)... It's always great to see other members' growing collection pics (not just text...). My collecting has been severely slowed down due to limited space and funds... Now i only have old pics to share...
  15. Free them all from their boxes!!! (unless you plan to resell them...)Get a decent display cab and UNLEASH!!! It'll look better with its super packs on
  16. Duh, they're talking about Toynami being a US distributor only. v2 VF-1 is perfect as it is, no need to design anything. I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't mind paying less for a rebranded v.2 VF-1, or even VF-19s etc. yeah, Toynami Cyclones and Hasbro's MPs come to mind. You can always buy the more expensive Japanese import if you like... Choices are good...
  17. Pessimist vs. optimist
  18. Awesome news... Thanks Save. I'm glad i didn't go crazy panic buying... Just $250 for 2 x 30th SSP and a 30th 1S. Now i can look forward to maybe buying a few more valks in the near future with some peace of mind not having to deal with scalped prices and crazy preorders. But i doubt we'll see reissues of the more obscure VF-1s since Yamato before only reissued the main characters' valks (there's hope for M&M 1Js for those who missed out!). I hope i'm wrong and i can get an Arcadia VF-1D VR, ha!
  19. TV 1S looks good with FPs.
  20. 2009 VF-0S reissue (w/ extra bubble wrap for the tail fins) and the VF-0A that comes in a new box are pretty solid. I'd have to agree with chronocidal... i have no problems in terms of the design of the VF-0 toys, just needs more durable plastic/s. IMO, the design of the VF-0 is more similar to the v.2 VF-1s than the 1/48s. The only thing it may need to accommodate reactive armor are foldable leg fins. So yeah, I vote YF-19 renewal first.
  21. Ditto. Sold my v.1 last year... Kinda got bored with the 27's design... even with the improvements, the new pics don't do anything for me. Wish I hadn't seen the movies and all that moe... really made me lose interest in MF.
  22. This is still going on?!? Craaazzzzy! Seeing these absurd prices/auctions actually makes me want to hold on to my Yamatos even more.
