Thanks! There are some magazines out there which do show mounting guides, but not sure how "canon" they are... For 2 Hard Points (Per Wing), Google Translates.... Like conventional fighters, the VF-1 mounts its weapons under the wings even outside the atmosphere where there is no aerodynamic effect. This is because the upper surface of the wings is assumed to function as armor on the back when in Battroid mode. Another reason is that the same part has spoilers that are used as movable surfaces in the atmosphere. Hard points are located on blocks 1 to 8, two on each side, and the first interstellar warfare. For 3 Hard Points (Per Wing).... From Block 9 onwards, which were built after the war, there were three hardpoints each. A certain number of aircraft with five hardpoints were also produced. However, even with the addition of more hardpoints, the size of the weapons themselves meant that the standard equipment around 2010 could not accommodate many, so there was no actual change in payload. This addition was made to allow for more room for the load in case new weapons were developed later, and the rigidity of the main wing was also improved. And I was also answering @Radioguy question on the paints in that post! 😉 And I, honestly mount mine until they look good! 🤪

It was posted as a paint guide for @Radioguy, not for scale nor mounting points...😉

Something tells me, this year is going to be really expensive!...😱

Since the VF-1D also has moulded as well as painted over areas, like the chest and leading edge wings and these don't seem to suffer from any huge colour differences. I'm kind of hopeful that Bandai will have solved this issue!? but sadly we still have a couple of months to wait for the bird, before we fry Bandai for the mistakes...😂

Thanks @jenius, for pointing out that the scale is not 1:60, not sure why I was under the impression that the High-Metal R line was 1:60!? But it's also probably why I don't have any... But did find this official information on scale. So thanks for pointing that out! As for the colour inconstancies on the HM-R ostrich I found this posted from @Vi-RS, back in 2018! So not sure how widely spread this was...

I read that when they released the 1:60 High Metal R version some people had colour differences between the fast packs and leg and arm parts!? I hope this gets solved in the DX Version! 🤔
-
And like I said previously. that in space your flaps aren't going to be used and they also wouldn't work! Since you have manoeuvering thrusters on your Strike/Fast packs so Bandai was correct in spacing the RMS-1 and UUM-7 close to the wings! 😉 Remember that this is a "Space" weapon system unlike the AMM-1 which are used in atmospheric engagements!
-
I'm sure if you get the Hasagawa set it will include a colour guide! but if not just search for the individual missile names, there are a lot of samples out there where you can judge the colour from! Just remember that SDFM RMS-1 Missiles should have red tips

Great! 👍🏻 Would be great if you have some of the closeup pictures of the pylons posted here! Some people don't use FB anymore since they only are interested in spamming you anyway!
-
Thanks for the review! I'm getting mine on Friday with tons of other Macross books, So looking forward to some summer reading! 🤗
-
Thanks, but unless someone provides a way to convert the Hasagawa 1:48 Missile set to fit the DX it's really not much use! I already have 6 sets just for insurance, But others like @Radioguy are actually looking for a solution! So it might be something for a new topic!

Ok thanks! Thought it was the same project... Guess never go by name on these 🤪 And really dig @Saburo Photography! keep em coming! 👍🏻

Ok thanks! The Tamashi website doesn't show any box art. But I'm sure if there was a difference someone would have chimed in by now! Since these are getting more expensive then a regular release VF-1, I pity the poor sod who in ten years buys his first VF-1 for 24,000 yen but then wants armament with will cost 100,000 yen for the missile set and 60,000 yen for the fast pack, Since Bandai is too stupid to rerelease this every couple of years.... and are known not to rerelease TWE items, To all thought good luck! 🙈

Wow these where already being shown in 2017 when even Bandai was in there prototype stage with the DX series! and getting on to over eight years, that these have been teased here or there but still no concrete information on release??? Not sure what to make of the reliability! 🤔

Does anyone know if there was a difference in the two releases of the VF-1 Missile Set, released in May 2019 and June 2020? Anything on the package that would indicate a difference?

Six bucks and my right nut says otherwise....🤪
-
That will be released with the Chrome Super Packs on the 75th. Anna...🤪 Cost 55.000 yen
