Here is the instruction sheet i traced. It looks like the Bandai one but i had to make some "adjustments" to make it look better. Why is the gun so low compared with WM Cheng's model ? -

This is the best i can do with my limited skill tracing a blank for the Valkyrie II. I accept all comments, destructive and constructive critisism. Try color it -

Thank you.. Many programs are available that can do this kind of work...like Paint Shop Pro(much cheaper than PSD) and the gimp(freeware). Try the freeware stuff first. -
SV-51's feature in Macross Zero ep. 3

F360° has a point there. I think the parachute pack is already part of the seat when the pilot straps in. -

Been busy lately but here is my all new VF-11 scheme using the blank supplied by Nied. Next will be SVF-33 and a blank for the SAP. Updated image. -
I have to agree with Nied on the advantages offered by overtech. The Catseye fuselage looks too narrow to have any sensible room for addtional crew. coota0 Comms between the fighters and the Catseye can be jammed just as well...i mean if the jammer is powerful enough to affect the more complex systems in the big ship like macross what price is the Catseye. Furthermore almost battle scenes seen in macross SDF take place quite near the SDF1. Wouldn't deploying the catseye only burden the overtaxed fighters with more baby sitting duty with an annoying Misa ?
-
Maybe they have several frequencies to transmit with. If communication with ships to fighters can be jammed than while have the Catseye in the first place if as the comms between the AWACS and fighters can be jammed too. Of course nothing is ever easy in a war. The RL carriers normally switch off their own radar and deploy E-2C aircraft so the carrier's position stays hidden but something the size of macross can be a bit harder to hide. Then again Macross has always been less about the military.
-
The Catseye may have more automation than current generation AWACS aircraft hence the smaller crew. Also it can just relay the information gathered to the controllers in Macross so no need to risk more personnel.
-
The UN did have a large AWACS aircraft http://alanmccain.topcities.com/aircraft/u...aruna_ec_33.htm but i don't know too much about it.
-
Likely not. It was based on the VT-1 Super Ostrich.

Maybe a vernier ? Or a grenade crusher launcher ... or just a duct for cooling Speculation of course.

THE UN-OFFICIAL COLOR SCHEME THREAD

Description: As the UN Spacy was eager to show off its newest valks the VF-3000G was selected as the next VF to fly displays with the Angel Birds. Despite operational problems with joint slippage the Angel Birds were not too concern as they did their displays in fighter mode. However production of the Crusader was terminated after just a rather modest number of units(190~200 ?) and there never seem enough of them to go around. This coupled with field unit attriction and expensive maintenance cost mean after just 10 displays with the type the Angel Birds were forced to relinquish them and revert back to their trusty VF-1s before their eventual switch to the VF-4. -
Its B-1B Lancer not Excalibur.

The instruction i saw at this site don't show anything about the Shin color on the main color guide. Is it printed on a separate piece of paper ? http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/index.html

I prefer the VFX-2 storyline much more than the silly VFX milky dolls plot. If they make a series out of it i hope they employ the hummingbirds to sing again! Perhaps Aegis Focker is a nephew of Roy ? Definitely show remake the game too ala PS2 SDF Macross

I am really looking forward to your tutorial. Here is my attempt at the MAXL Kai Chick. I regret not using the lasso tool instead of the magic wand in the end cause there are so many tiny gaps in between the shades. I tried adding shadows but ended up bitting myself in the ass so maybe next time.

Thanks...and your english is fine. I think more people should try their own fanart. 6 months ago i don't even know how to use photoshop(and still learning as i go) and until about 1 month ago i can't do any shading. That excellent tutorial by Jeff Sorley is very helpful and the concepts can even be applied even if you use programs other than photoshop. black of de VF-19S ?I assume you mean blank ? I have one in the planning stage but just need time to complete it. -
