  1. Crawling into the cockpit of the VF-27 as he realized that one of the disadvantages of a cyborg body is that you have to recharge the batteries once in a while...
  2. As enjoyable as that was, I was kinda dissapointed that it wasn't 's voice dubbed over that last scene from episode 12.
  3. Seems like they either applies it as a skin, or they've developed a shader that does it for them.
  4. In that case, the question now is if they were modified to use NUNS equipment (reaction warheads, standard caliber paint rounds) or vice versa.
  5. Maybe, but's that the bit from the canopy itself, so unless the canopy moves with the whole cockpit. Another explanation is that it's the front divider, which would simply mean that they drew it at an off angle.
  6. Stuff like this makes me wonder if the Q-Rea isn't traditional pre-SW1 Zentraedi weaponry but rather a development of the Q-Rau adapted for NUNS use.
  7. I know this really does belong in the toys thread but (seeing as I am a lazy bastard) does "super alloy" mean that bits of these toys are die-cast?
  8. It's a setup so that once he his plan comes to fruition, Basara will magically reappear and save the Galaxy with his song as just as VFTF1 has been telling us all this time. Yama wa, ginga wa, ORE NO UTA WO KIKE!
  9. Something odd in episode 12. Alto's cockpit in battroid mode still has the bit from the rear of the canopy behind the pilot in it, while in previous shots of the cockpit (such as Ozma's from episode 2 and 3) it's clearly not there (because if you think about it, it's not supposed to be. Alto's cockpit in episode 12. Ozma's cockpit in episde 2. I also recall something similar with Michel's cockpit in one episode, where he's in battroid mode, and we still see the front bit that divides the forward part of the canopy (again despite being in battroid mode).
  10. Am I the only one getting a Macross Plus vibe from the scene when Alto flies in Gerwalk mode in front of Ranka?
  11. Well it looks like Alto's finally learned to use the mounting points for the gunpod seeing as he's simply thrown it away in past episodes.
  12. Well, he did seem to be using LAI's new fold booster, the one that could pass through fold dislocations with no problems, when he left Frontier.
  13. Check where you're uploading it, you might be uploading it as your personal photo by misake and not your avatar (did that a couple of times myself). Speaking of slap-happy avatars anyone got a .gif of the slap Sheryl gave Alto in episode 3 (complete with explosions)?
  14. But the President is on the Macross, on the Macross Frontier.
  15. Makes me wonder now, maybe the Macross was with the research fleet that got attacked by the Vajra (or at the very least, visiting it).
  16. Well that solves his problem with Klan seeing as he can safely be macronized. Only problem now is genetic compatibility, just like Zomeo and Zoliet (the radio drama playing all the time in Dynamite 7).
  17. It most probably is an explanation of why it's there, seeing as those are Guantanamo class carriers with it. Unless of course, that's actually from the set of DYRL? where they were digitally transformed into Zentradi ships in post prod.
  18. Probably externally (the 171s are usually seen carrying more external weaponry than the 17s anyway). The only way they can fit it into the leg is if they've somehow managed to master storing stuff in sub-space.
  19. If anything however, episode 12 adds more evidence to support VFTF1's convoluted family tree. It seems .
  20. In-universe it was an expensive, overbudget fighter eclipsed in cost-to-performance ratio by the VF-9 and VF-5000. Seriously though, the VF-4 was never shown in battle in any of TV Series/OVA/Movies, so I guess it's natural that most people would pick the ones they saw in action.
  21. Well as you pointed out to me some time ago, the Frontier is bigger than City 7, so it's highly probably that alot of the functions of the other ships are now done in Island 1 and it's connecting "islands."
  22. Wait, what does that have to do with our little discussion of UN military organization?
  23. Frontier also comes out on Thursdays right? How come ratings for that aren't accounted for? Because apparently a yaoi-bait sis-con Char-wannabe is more popular than a trap-hime who's into ersatz-yuri. Plus I hear that the last arc of CG had more than its fair amount of loli and fanservice.
