  1. Don't worry, in a couple of years time most of us will be aboard a space cruiser somewhere in the solar system, unless off course, they stayed behind and died when the planet gets glassed by a large fleet of giants. Now about those immigration papers to South Ataria (not to mention blue hair dye job and name change).
  2. After plus, it seems SK and co. adopted a simplified version of the U.S. Tri-Service aircraft designation system.
  3. But G-LOC usually happens way before we get mushed brains. It's possible that (with the tech I described), the EX-gear suits help pilots cope better with G-LOC but it takes cybernetic augmentation to not get mushed brains. Of course, we could always go the MGS4 route and attribute everything on nanomachines.
  4. Hmm, I'm kinda annoyed that the numbers presented don't give anything conclusive about their performance versus the AVF planes. The only thing we can say conclusively is that the engines used are newer (Shinsei/P&W/RR FF-3011As and P&W HMM-9s versus FF-2550s and HMM-7s). The listed speeds are even the same which is really a non-issue since most dogfights occur in high-subsonic speeds to transonic speeds.
  5. Can't rule out that it's not the suit they were to go with the EX-Gear. Didn't someone hypothesize that the tight suit could possibly be a muscle suit of sorts that used small contractions to help regulate bloodflow. Also, seeing as the pilots don't wear seatbelts, it's possible that the EX-gear still connects to the suit when the pilot sits in it.
  6. Holy cow! Stats are out! Quick, someone post a link quick. I wonder now if Galaxy thought that by basing the 27 on the 24, they thought others would underestimate it, only for them to fall for their own trick and underestimate the 25.
  7. You forget Basara asking for the ability to mount speakers on the wings.
  8. I'm still wondering if the VF-27 really is also derived from the YF-24 seeing as there's no mention of it whatsoever in the series and that Galaxy Anonymous was surprised at the VF-35's performance. For all we know, the 27 is a totally different airframe that just copies the YF-24's transformation (possibly due to production not having enough time to do a completely new VF model).
  9. But the way it was used for comparison seems to imply that the EX-Gear does deem to provide a level of protection against G-forces. At the very least, it could simply be a better G-suit.
  10. Tailerons wouldn't be an issue, the function of the missing elevators would be taken care of by vectored thrust. Actually, since it has twin rudders, the plane wouldn't be as hard to keep stable in a straight line then a B-2 bomber. Actually, if you think about it, the more unstable a plane is, the better it is at being a dogfighter (hence most modern fighter designs are inherently unstable, relying on computers and fly-by wire to keep the plane stable).
  11. Well, Philippine TV stations have been dubbing anime since the the late 70's (heck, <i>Chōdenji Machine Voltes V</i> is as close to an official "national anime" over here). Currently, we've got two cable channels dedicated to anime, the Philippine edition of Animax-Asia (mostly english dub witha f ew subtitled stuff) and Hero TV (tagalog dub).
  12. Of course you also have to factor in that the YF-24 isn't the direct prototype for the VF-25. The fact that the 5 was independently developed form the 4 seems to indicate that they weren't made by the same companies (the YF-24's probably Shinsei).
  13. I prefer to think of it as Millia taking to the concept of sex rather too well.
  14. Rowboat-Tech? That sounds like an awesome show!
  15. Knowing Grace, she probably knew that it was going to happen eventually anyway, despite what she's told Leon.
  16. Commander of a fleet yes, father of 8 children, no.
  17. Here's a thought, it's been pointed out to me that in the play Sakura-hime Azuma Bunsho, one lover died for Sakura-hime's sake while she killed for endangering her family. This parallels Alto's current situation quite well with him as Sakura-hime and with Ranka and Sheryl as his two lovers. This then could be related to what Ozma and Yasaburo have been pointing out - Alto needs' to choose his own path and that he's still acting a role. This could mean that Alto can either follow his "role" and act out Sakura-hime by killing Ranka while Sheryl dies in the last battle or he could stop acting and do something else to make a difference.
  18. A vote for Folmo is a vote for DECULTURE?!
  19. I believe it was implied somewhere that EX-Gears allow for pilots to endure G-forces higher than what is humanly possible. Take into consideration that the AVF/Project Supernova planes were supposedly operating at the limit of what humans could take and the fact that a VF-25 with Super Parts can go toe to toe against a VF-27 (which can operate well beyond human endurance thanks to having a cyborg pilot), then I believe we can safely say that the VF-25 is superior to the AVF planes.
  20. Which would still mean that he wasn't lost along with the Megaroad-1, which was what was implied by him escorting them.
  21. You never know, that may even have been his acting debut.
  22. Hmm, here's a theory, what if he had to resign to save face after whatever insurrection it was that occurred in 2030 that also caused macronized Zentrans to be banned from Earth?
  23. From what I recall, it seems they weren't expecting the VF-25 to perform so well since the YF-24 didn't perform up to snuff. Why it didn't perform is something we can only speculate on. However, based on what we've seen of the VF-25 and VF-27 possibly wing design and engine output may be some of the factors.
