This is the main reason I hate macross frontier so much is that the production value, characters and story is so good that its hard to enjoy other anime series because they pale in comparison. This series just has a certain charm to it that makes you want to keep watching it and wish the series would never end, its that good. If I try to watch another anime robot series im going to be greatly underwhelmed, this'll probably be the only series I watch right now for a long while until its effects wear off on me...

I do prefer the more slim looks of the bandai model but the DX version still looks really good. As long as its pretty close to an accurate representation im ok with it.

They're trying to balance anime accurate looks while making the toy durable and fun to pose, if the figure is too thin its possible it'll be fragile and floppy. I suppose there is a way of making the figure more durable though while maintaining a more anime accurate look by adding in ratchet joints within the legs and arms, also adding a bit of metal to support joints that hold the arms and legs would help alot. This of course would increase cost but cmon, adults are collecting these things not kids. The least they could do is slim down the chest a bit. But hey so far im satistied with what ive seen but they could do better.

Hey I wont bash you for supporting kevin's business and ll but if you really wanted it that badly, its best not to get a hot item like that via the slow boat... literally...

This is the only hot toys figure ive seen that makes me really want to get it but alas I neither have the space or the funds to buy that thing atm. Man the tumbler must be massive in person.

My shin kudo VF-0A came in earlier today and the shoulder is fine I checked it and there are no cracks... I guess I was lucky but I did get the ghost booster set version so that might be why nothings wrong.

If I am gonna get any garland it'll be the proto one. It has too many gimmicks to pass up but man im such a valkoholic! I cant bring myself to buy anything else lately lol.

I understand your concern over not releasing all the FP or armor parts at once but all companies do this as well as yamato to see how well an item will sell before they release any new products... I know it sucks as most of us on these forums have to import and pay extra for shipping but its no biggie. Im just glad I can have a high quality valk in my hands in the end.

Hmm... are the reissued sv-51 ivanov's out already? because I sure havent heard ne thing about it... also from what I hear if it is indeed out I dunno if I wanna buy it now... seems like its got major QC issues out of the box... oh well can someone confirm this?

I think im with the majority here, I would pick the 1/48 VF-1S w fast packs just for the sheer size.

LMAO I KNEW somebody would bring this thing up again sooner or later... IMO its not that big of a deal... the shoulder peice covers it up pretty good anyway and as long as the arm isn't completely loose or falls off because of it I dont see what the big fuss is about... It can be an eyesore though, I just hope the shin/ ghost booster combo I bought doesn't have the same crack... it'll be irritating but I wont go crazy over it.

Well it seems you completely missed the togue in cheek tone of my post... I was merely humoring the man, sheesh ever since I bashed you in the last thread all you want to do is take a stab at me calm down.

This question cant really be answered too well because the gundam universe is so broad and the technology level so steep that it would be hard to come to an accurate conclusion. Could it take on any early U.C mecha from say 0079 to 0083? My guess is that it certainly can as even the VF-1 is much more manueverable and agile with better weapon systems than any early U.C mecha. If it were fighting any A.U. mecha even the later valks would have a hard time with say... Gundam wing or destiny gundam. This is not applying physics like minovsky particles into the picture as they supposedly jam any type of lock on or radar capabilities.

Yeah the sound is exceptional in this game but remember Skywalker sound did the audio editing for this game and thats what makes it sound so good. Everything sounds just right and even at low speaker volumes the speech comes through so clear and just loud enough to hear. The sound is very important in this game and adds so much more depth and life to it. I guess that's why they hired skywalker sound for the sound and voice editing.

I finally beat NG 2 and have to say the game overall was sometimes so annoyingly difficult that I don't wanna go back and play it again on a higher difficulty... Even on acolyte the last boss was kicking my A$$! But most of the bosses werent that hard to beat... its funny I tried playing the game again on warrior a little bit and I find its not as hard since I already know all the gameplay mechanics and boss strategies.

I would really like to meet some of you guys online... is there a clan I could join or something?
