  1. Somebody better be on the lookout for Triumph from Conan O'Brien at C3. Sounds like it will also be major spoiler heaven, so I'm sure MBs will be flooded with them during the end of April. This one of ANY of the 6 SW movies will be the hardest to see spoiler free
  2. Nagano also did a proposed design for the ZZ Gundam; I have pics of the model version of his design...lets just say I'm glad they went with Mike Akitaka's version. The Gabaldy from Z screams Nagano, especially the feet, and the Qubeley was a great addition to Z. A lot of people do not like the Qubeley design because they complain the curvy, non-detailed design looks out of place, but it made the story more interesting to me, instead of just having a ton of mechs that all looked the same whackin on each other.
  3. 1/72 VF-2SS 1/72 VF-11 1/72 VF-1 add on armor for HaseRoid
  4. Just in case....SPOILER to those living under a rock... Although it doesn't really count, I have to say Optimus Prime in TF:TM. Also Guld getting together with Sharon Apple at the end of M+; I'm not sure if I like the OVA version or movie version better. The OVA version seems a bit more dignified.
  5. Nothing's Gonna Stand In Our Way by Spectre General is an AWESOME song from the TF:TM soundtrack. Better than any song from the Poison/Warrant era of Hairspray Rock. Dare is another great song too; I think you have to be an 80's kid to really "get" them. And yes, I am still planning on building a 1/1 fully-working version of Hot Rod in car mode. IT WILL HAPPEN!
  6. The Bandai G-S model was pretty cool tho; matched the proportions from the movie design pretty good. I have never seen the movie but maybe Sci-Fi will run it double billed with "Robot Jox" on a thursday night at 4 am.
  7. I hope Koto makes figures for FM4 when it comes out. The mech designs from FM4 look so nice, more militaristic than FM3.
  8. Perhaps B-club will come out with a resin conversion kit to make the Evolve Nu Gundam, if it gets popular enough. They made conversion for the Hi-Nu and FA Nu so maybe.
  9. Ridley Scott said on his commentary for the Alien DVD a couple years ago he would like to direct another Alien movie. His brief idea he mentioned for it would be to "...go back to the Alien homeworld". Ridley Scott is the only director I would want to see in charge of that. He is the best director of the Alien series; he would know how to bring the fear back to the Alien. We have all seen what it looks like, how it fights blah blah blah. It's time to bring something new to it, and he could do it.
  10. *puts hood over head* exxxxxcellent...it is all going as I have forseen it. I am sure Bandai will be wheeling out some super-duper Gundam Seed game soon, too, unless they already have and I missed it. I would love to see a Gundam Sentinel game; if any G series had the makings for a hardcore PS2 mech game, it would be that one. Dibs on the Ex-S.
  11. Wow, that Super Gundam looks fantastic. Great proportioning on both.
  12. Actually the RX-78-4 and RX-78-5 are Kunio Okawara Mobile Suit Variations based on his original RX-78-2, not based on the Ver. Ka Gundam.
  13. Micromark.com has two great tools I bought for rescribing. I cannot recall the name of the first one, but it chisels off raised panel lines without gouging into the plastic. Instead of a pulling tool like the Squadron chisel, this is a push tool that requires less power. The second one is called strangely enough "The Scriber" and it looks like a dentist tool, double ended and hook. I bought the Hasegawa scribe template and this tool works INCREDIBLE on making tiny access hatches for my Gundams. Makes very subtle, scale panel lines and actually removes the plastic when it scribes instead of just gouging the plastic like a lot of scribers do.
  14. Goldenboy Forever- I have a pic of a completed Gilgamesh from an old Hobby Japan. PM me with a email address that can take a hi-res scan and I'll send it over. I also have pics of the other Mac II B-club kits completed. PS- Goldenboy rocks...one of my fav animes
  15. You could also ask why they are all speaking english too, which could be a complaint of both Galacticas and most of Sci-Fi if you get that critical. I read the approach to this version of Battlestar Galactica is more of a real one, like Space: Above and Beyond, hence the warning markings.
  16. The new Viper from the Sci-Fi channel Battlestar galactica remake airing soon. Looks nice! http://www.gabekoerner.com/fx/Gallery/vipe...r_mk2_707_3.jpg http://www.gabekoerner.com/fx/Gallery/vipe...r_mk2_707_4.jpg http://www.gabekoerner.com/fx/Gallery/vipe...r_mk2_707_6.jpg http://www.gabekoerner.com/fx/Gallery/vipe...r_mk2_707_8.jpg http://www.gabekoerner.com/fx/Gallery/vipe...r_mk2_707_9.jpg
  17. Wow, great Wanzer designs. Zead and Bosch's suits look GORGEOUS!! Who's doing the mecha design? I'm really looking forward to this; I'm sure they will come out with figures of the Wanzers like FM3 but I would like to get models of them instead.
  18. To me the VF-19 and 21 look much better in fighter form than in battroid form. All I want Hasegawa to do is make 1/72 fighters of the VF-11 and VF-2SS...I dont need any M+ battroids, Zentradi, no destroids, just these 2 kits. Comon HASE!!!
  19. The C3 Falcon is smaller than 1/80. The Ertl Falcon model measures out to about 1/92, and it is over twice the size of the C3. The C3 is probably like 1/144 or so. And C3 needed to do a better reference job; those side walls on the C3 Falcon are just as over-sized and inaccurate as the Ertl model. I wouldn't complain if it was a $20-30 toy, but this is a $300 item we are talkin here. I lot of green to spend on a inaccurate item.
  20. I like the added armor design, and the hammer and chainsaw are no weirder than the knife. I only wish it was a model.
  21. Nice rendering; Fathom's hips need to be redone though. Turner does nice eye candy, but I would suggest looking at someone like Greg Land, Adam Hughes or Phil Noto for better anatomy.
  22. This was just a fun question to throw out; no need to get so serious about it. The way Hollywood "mines" ideas from comics, anime, TV and such, I can see why there is an immediate backlash when the idea of transaltion to movie is brought up. Of course anime is good enough; it is a medium, along with animation of every kind, that can bring things to a story that movies can't, in some cases. Do I feel anime would be better if it was turned into live-action?? Of course not...they are 2 DIFFERENT MEDIUMS. I have never heard anyone ever say a Harry Potter book was better because they made a movie out of it. Movies, in the most positive aspect, actually get more people to find out about the source material. I do not consider one medium to be better than the other; that was not a factor of this question. It is a question about how something would translate. Unless there is some true talent and understanding lined up for such a translation, I think anime should be left alone, and not "mined" by lesser talent waiting to cash in. In the end, the anime source from where a movie came from stands on its own, and it's quality cannot be changed by Hollywood, no matter how good or bad the translation is.
  23. Ok, say you are Mr. Hollywood, with Spielberg or Bruckheimer-level clout, and you had your choice of any anime to make into a live-action movie for otakus all around the world to pick apart, with a $150 million dollar budget (because your name is attached to it, it gets green-lighted and the budget, of course...), WHICH ANIME WOULD YOU MAKE?? I thought about something Gundam, but there is so much back-story in that case. I would choose Gunbuster, and do a film-2-movies-at-once deal. I would update the look of the mecha a bit, yet keep it recognizable, and cast someone like Rachel Leigh Cook or someone like that as Noriko. Use a lot of digital effects to empasize the SIZE of everything and the intense space battles. I also thought about Macross Plus and Golden Boy(heh heh) as movies. So, Mr. Hollywood, what would YOU make??
  24. SR-75 Penetrator, the replacement for the SR-71, with pulse engines. Mig-37
  25. I have seen these Gundams from the 'Ultimate Operation' line of action figures on eBay, smaller than Gundam FIX figures (1/200?1/220??) but they look interesting. I could not find any good information about them on the web; does anybody know a website or somewhere that has a listing of all the figures in this line? I have seen the Gouf, Gelgoog and E-Z8 figures, but I have also seen one from Gundam Seed. Any help would be appreciated.
