A definite choking hazard for this figure. Greg Horn does great perspectives in his babe art. A couple other figures Clayburne Moore could add to this line are a Adam Hughes Wonder Woman and a Frank Cho Brandy. Figures that change Fanboys into Fanmen.

WTF??? I'm not liking these Church designs. Too late to bring back Chiang. Crap. -
Scientists vote 'Blade Runner' best sci-fi film.
Sarensaas replied to UN Spacy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
That is awesome. BR was such a unique film it took me a few years to "get" it. You have to remember, it came out in theaters the same summer as "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan", and that was the kind of movie Sci-fi we were used to. Blade Runner gets released, starring Han Solo, and being sci-fi, I think a lot of people were expecting something Star Wars-esque. Not. It did pretty bad at the box office, and everyone went to see Khan. But when I finally saw BR with interest, it was incredible, the visuals, the music, replicants that were artificial flesh and blood and not same old metallic-insides androids or robots. If you are into the story, it is great, but if you have been conditioned to todays sci-fi movies that have been formulized to force action all throughout the movie to keep your attention (usually at the expense of story) and filled with CG eye candy to please the people who expect it now, you're not gonna get this movie. I hope this helps make the BR DVD Ridley is working on get as much extras and goodies as possible. -

A couple of tips for using spray cans, since I have painted some gundams with Testors spray cans: 1- Before you spray, put the spray can in some warm water for a few minutes before hand. This makes the paint inside come out better, more even for spraying. 2- When you spray, always start spraying before the model in your stroke and go past the model in your stroke. 3- If you are going to use a gloss paint, prespray the part with a flat primer to give the surface tooth for the gloss paint to bite onto. The gloss paint will adhere to bare plastic if you do paint it that way, but it is much better for the gloss coat to have a surface that it can settle into better. 4- Do multiple coats, not one thick coat. Keep the can about a foot away and do a quick stroke. If the paint runs or puddles on the surface after your stroke, your stroke is too slow. Make it faster, and the first coat should be a dust coat, a coat that just gets paint on the surface, not trying to cover all the exposed area, with the next two coat being more solid.

Official Gundam Plamodel Thread

Ah, you got my point. I didn't say a Hi-Nu WAS going to be made in plastic for sure, I said some chance, especially with examples like the 1/144 Dendrobium and the 1/144 Psycho Gundam. Yes, released with the buzz around the Z DVD release, but still, a retro design not too many ppl are crazy about. If Bandai is making choices like this, I would think they would be well aware of the following who like the Hi-Nu design. Besides, it only makes sense to release the plastic kit after the resin conversion kits have run their course and are no longer available. -
Add Man-Faye and you have TV gold!

They had the Charles Manson murders on, showing how the girls who were in on those murders are now trying very hard to get out on parole. Makes me think that the young guys responsible for these Florida murders will probably get life and 20 years from now they will be begging to get out saying,"We were just kids, following this guys orders! We were naive and brainwashed, but we are grown adults now, and we don't deserve a life sentence now that we have realized what we have done". Sigh...

Now I'm really starting to feel bad for the guy in a 'Star Wars Kid' kinda way, but he'll probably get some hot woman that goes on a date with him from this. Helping through humiliation I guess, but he seems game. Tarintino was on the show with Tron guy; A PERFECT OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUR NEXT FLICK, RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU QUENTIN!! Have T-R-O-N tattooed on his fingers and give him lines like,"My name is Tron, and I like to get it on" to say to girls passed out from listening to him talk about all things Tron.

No. I think there is some chance we will see a plastic Hi-Nu. The recent releases of the Wing Zero Ka and RX-78-4 and RX-78-5 show Bandai is willing to release designs that never showed up in anime form, so they make take a shot at a Hi-Nu...and after all, it IS a Gundam, so that alone would move some boxes. -
Well thats a big suck, kinda like when Singer dropped out of his new take on Galactica, only I new 3 was going to be good based on the flow of the last 2. I wonder if the new director will follow up on the big hint at the end of 2 the way I know Singer would have. I hope they find someone quality and don't just settle for "someone with CG experience".

That yellow utility belt does not go with the rest of the all-black suit. I mean, if I were a Year-one Bruce Wayne, I would follow the same design principle, everything black, for stealth. But why stop at the yellow belt? "Hey, we can take total liberty with the batsuit from the comics, BUT WE GOTTA HAVE A YELLOW BELT!". All the crooks are going to see is a black figure with a yellow belt. "Who ARE YOU MAN!!!???"..."I'm...Yellow Belt Man!". Why did they keep that stupid molded in 6 pack?

Speaking of which, maybe McFarlane should make a variant Jessica figure of this: Choking Hazard? Indeed! -
Please. That Hyper Zeta Gundam is the ugliest piece of poo I've ever seen. Until SEED stuff comes along, of course. Fujita does incredible stuff. Check this out: Felon Assault mecha designed by Fujita GX Assault mecha by Fujita...MOMMY! If Seed mecha looked like this I would be rejoicing in the streets. Gundam needs Fujita's designs again BAD. And Katoki's too...I think they are saving him for an upcoming return to the UC though...and I ain't talking about MS Igloo

New Polar Lights NCC-1701 Refit
Sarensaas replied to B-52 GUNNER's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
This is a MODEL KIT, not a toy like the Bandai or Asylum things, so you have to paint it and does not have lights. This 1/350 Polar Lights kit looks INCREDIBLE; it will have an open shuttle bay in back, like it was shown in Star Trek: The Motion Picture, with cargo doors and have a open Botanical Garden (the windows on the lower side of the lower hull) and LOTS of decals covering all the markings on the ship and cargo bay. I would say it's the most incredible Star Trek kit ever made, based on preview pic of the pieces and decals. -
From the knees up it looks sweet. I'd just get rid of the feet and have the battroid mode for zero-gee only, ala Space Cruiser Blassty.

New Gundam FIX and ZEONOGRAPHY on the way...
Sarensaas replied to GRAND CANNON's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I have a resin kit of the Shiki Kai Full Armor, and it's a pretty impressive, especially the huge Sentinel-esque rifle that comes with it. It will be interesting to see the Katoki changes to it and if the keep the rifle or change it. I had a hunch the next GF was going to be the Hi-Nu, but maybe they'll wait a few more releases before that one. Maybe a Gundam MK-III too. -
The music for this movie was GREAT. Wagners music was a great choice for the film. The music used during the promos and ads for the new Bruckheimer movie turns me off from it big time. I know they have to get as wide as audience as possible but rock music in a medieval film? I sense another "Pirates of the Caribbean", one of the worst movies I have ever seen, coming on. Hopefully the actual movie will have a better, more appropriate score.

You may find something at a local art store. I have picked up stencils that will have tiny rectangle shapes in them for precision drawing, which would be good for mecha maintenace hatches and panels. The only drawback is that most of them are plastic so if you are using a exacto blade for scribing it may cut into the plastic. There is also an item called an erasing shield made of thin metal that might be good for scribing that you can find at an art store too. Ebay will also have 1/48 and 1/72 aircraft templates that pop up on there.

I'd like to see what Tarintino would do with a Robocop film. I think he could get it back to the funny, gorey spirit Verhoven got in the first one.

Great work. I would have LOVED college if that would have been one of my projects for a class. I'm envious of those students, but the fact none of them were aware of Macross makes it a little more bearable

NEW(ER) AVP (Aliens versus Predator) Trailer.
Sarensaas replied to UN Spacy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Well, we havn't seen an Alien who used a Predator as a host, so that could make for a interesting combo. -
Although I havn't heard any rumors, I get the feeling we will see Robocop 4 in a few years, with the armor redesigned and a woman as Robocop this time. That or Robocop vs. Terminator

Well, if it's the girl from Ghost in the Shell who has stuff plugged in her in the anime, I can see, but if it's Sailor Moon or Asuka Langley, I'm scared to find out where he put the USB ports on the thing.
