    Seeming as even the renewals are scarce in Japan itself I think it's the production numbers vs demand that's the main issue.

    Bored? Hell naw. I look at the silhouettes of my valks in fighter mode everyday and they never fail to amaze me. I usually buy valks that looks good and have interesting or ingenious transformation, I don't usually really give a hoot about their connections to the shows or the characters so if I had a say I would get all valks that were ever released to be re-released in low-vis or in military camo schemes.

    I guess by VF-25 CF you meant VF-171? It wasn't "pretty easy" to reserve a pre-order, unless you consider NY's special price a pre-order. I guess I'm not serious about collecting then if I'm putting my job and family over spamming F5 (No, I'm really not a serious collector lol compared to you guys, not trying to be snide.)

    I have tried to pre-order their releases but with work in the way if you're late by a single day you're pretty much out of luck. The situation has become so silly that I don't doubt scalpers who has the time and opportunity have been buying up multiples just to sell them later down the road. But I don't blame them, nor would I put the entire blame on Bandai as they may have their own twisted production and marketing strategy and that is solely their own prerogative. The ideal situation would be more companies offering Macross products so collectors may have more flexibility.

    Bandai's valks being competitively priced doesn't mean anything if we have to resort to scalpers for every new product.

    Ah I understand what you're going through. By all accounts Bandai should not have released ver 1 with so many flaws. I think the VF-171 is pretty decent as it is now though and any reissues would be the exact same design so you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

    I just watched a review of Alto's 171 and the transformation seems a bit messy and convoluted, is that true?

    Someone mentioned this earlier but these are luxury toys we're talking about, not necessities. If people are willing to part with their disposable income for something they'll enjoy I don't see what's the problem. If it's beyond what you're willing to pay then don't purchase and wait for sales/new pre-orders/price to fall. Or spend the money on another hobby/loved ones.

    The system is pretty convoluted, if only the table checking and dice rolling can be done by some kind of software... How about a turn based tactical pc game eh.
