There is a textbook case of obsessive compulsiveness. Psych lecturers at university should use this site as a case study.
Then again, I have toys in cabinets at home so who am I to throw stones!
I'm finding the kit pretty easy to work on. Especially with the manual being easy to use. I think it is a great idea to have pics of which sprues you need so you don't have to look through them all to find the right part. I've done the whole skeleton and sprayed it with gunmetal gray, looks great!
it does look very cg.. I wonder how they'll shoot it? Will Nic Cage be driving around on a blue or green harley? And he'll be dressed the same too I guess. Sexy!
I built and airbrushed the standard green Gelgoog. Pretty easy kit. Although when I finished I clearcoated it and the clearcoat (Mr.Hobby brand) went white when it dried. So now I have to completely repaint.
Ahh, yes. I am DEFINITELY buying this. It has moved to the top of my want list. Although if they don't change the missile bay/plastic chunk I may reconsider. c'mon! For 112 bucks we should get individually molded missiles. for that price they should be spring loaded and fire-able!
BTW, can anyone tell me what scale the Galoob Action Fleet APC is? I have that and the dropship. It was like the holy grail of ebay. Took me about a year to get them for a reasonable price.
And I am such a sad fan that I even bought the micro machines Aliens set that came with a mini APC so I could fit it in my Action Fleet dropship.
It depends on how much shelf space you have! I have about 15 Master grade models and they look great. I have about 6 or so HGUC kits which are more detailed than the HG 1/144's so I prefer the HGUC's for smaller size kits. Overall, go for the 1/100 MG's. They are just right in size and there are hundreds of kits available.
But for your money's worth, go and buy the PG Strike. It is beautiful and not flimsy at all. It's almost like a toy it's so solid.
*whistles*
Gawd...for that kinda money, one would at least expect him to follow the reference pictures and paint it to actual color.
It looks great...but the blue really bothers me....
I've since found another painter who should be able to do similar quality work (and get the colors right) for half the price.
The next custom toy might be a conversion of a Yamato Mac Plus VF-11B FP to Mac 7 VF-11C colors.

lol, that's on my "to do" projects.. has been for a long time. I remember bugging you for 11c pics last year sometime. I have promised myself I will do it this year.
good poll idea! I voted Tracks (blue) as my fav and I own 7 BT's. Funny, cos when yellow tracks came out I couldn't look at it as it was so damn ugly. But the blue scheme with the white & red face and bonnet flame sticker rocks. Deadend and Hound come close though.
The model or the girl in the picture? Either way I'd have to agree with you.
If you asked sebastian he would say the Strike.. the amount of time he spent lovingly staring at his Strike was unhealthy!
I PROMISE I will finish mine soon! First I have to finish plastering the ceiling of our bedroom, then paint the lounge and bedroom, then get the floors polished, THEN I can finish the strike.. hm, maybe by 2007.
It's cool the missiles are removable.. maybe I can use the good old clear twisty ties and add some sort of fire trail effect to the missle so the GBP can be launching some of his missiles.
Unfortunately the pic doesn't show it, but the plastic is so bad, it looks as strong as wafer biscuits. if you tapped it with a pen it would crack.
I wonder if any macross collectors out there collect super ugly valks..? Like a 'chamber of horrors' shelf?
- the MPC's would be a must.
