I like what Toonz said.. a 1S low viz reissue would be cool. Quick, everyone sell their low viz while the price is still hot!

2 things I found out with airbrushes, metallic paints can be a bitch to spray as they clog up easily and you don't get a regular spray pattern. And old paints can be bad as they will clump up into paint chunks. I got desperate the other day and used some old white paint and I ended up picking off little dried chunks of white paint. That will teach me to be lazy!

thanks! I wasn't so scared with weathering this one. I piled it on but it didn't come out too much. I'm too scared to rough up my kits like yours, Port! note for next time, I won't take pics of my toys near where the bird cage is.

I've got a badger and it works great. It is easy to adjust the spray pattern from a direct spray to a wide spray and easy to clean.

I finished my Gelgoog last night. So I thought I'd post pics here rather than start a new thread. I actually finished this guy several months ago then sprayed a Mr Hobby clearcoat on him and it completely f**ked it up.. Dunno what was wrong with the clearcoat but it wasn't clear. Anyway. I got around to repainting him on the weekend and I gave him some weathering too, dunno if you can see it on the pics. I took these before going to work so they're pretty bad. I had to stop when my bird got interested.

sorry you didn't like it. I guess it was the nature of this trilogy that the first 2 films were just setting the scene for ep 3, so while they were boring ep 3 was an amphetamine gobbling sensory overload. And just my take on this 'living force' argument. All this has just been generated by 30 years of fan chatter. Luke facing off against the emperor is a simply good vs evil, not living force vs jedi vs sith, etc etc. Even from Lucas's own mouth he says he wrote these as a homage to the swashbuckling matinee films of the 30's & 40's so it's a waste of time to read into it too much. Plus it sucks the joy out of it.

One think I really liked was Sidious' lightsaber fighting style. To me it looked like the intended effect was to make him look like he was filmed in reverse. His facial actions and lightsabre swings look really unnatural and creepy. And didn't the other jedi with Mace go down like total b*tches! edit: I'm sure this is obvious to everyone but I am slow. I just realised how balance had been perfectly brought to the the force, with 2 on each side. On the dark side is Sidious and Vader, and on the light side is Yoda and Obi wan.

Revenge of the Sith ROCKED! (spoiler free)

I just saw it. Loved it. Amazing. I want to marry it. Wait. I'm already married. DAMN! -
I'm going to a 2:45pm session (that's in 2 hours from now) - I said I was going to the dentist.. hehe.

The final ep of the first series aired last night in australia. As this has a late timeslot I only realised the series was on 2 eps ago. I am loving it. It's got all the political intrigue of the early (good) series of babylon 5 with great CGI and production standards.

how much are they in Singas? I have a friend over there at the moment.
-
I'm starting to worry that I like all the new vehicles a lot.. which means buying more SW crap and nowhere to put it. I love the republic attack cruiser and the jedi starfighter. I still don't like the aRC-170 though.

Now that the US version is out I am gonna buy this sucka. but I seem to remember seeing a box pic that had the figure included with the scopedog.. it may have been the Red Shoulder release? Am I dreaming? And would it be cheaper to buy the 2-pack then the fig and the scopedog seperately?
-
My SW collecting frenzy passed away a couple of years ago. I must have about 200 figures in a box looking like a mass grave. I still display all my Action Fleet ships. I've got about 30 of them.

260 bucks... it's official. The world has gone mad. For the first time I wish I had bought an MPC Roy. The only one I bought was the cannon fodder, and I got that for 15 bucks and customised its ugly ass.

For a console with that much grunt, I am scared of what the final price point will be..

I am going crazy at the moment! I have like 10 kits that I have bought over the last 15 months or so that I haven't done much with. And in the last week I have started and finished a PG Strike, 1/100 Red Astray and a 1/144 Xekines (sp) and I have started on the 1/144 Marasi, MG Gelgoog and MG Rick Dom and the 1/72 Hasegawa VF-0. I'm loving it!
-
I built and painted the Hase battroid kit and it is super fragile. I am currently doing the VF-0 fighter kit and it seems a lot stronger. well, less moving parts like knees and elbows and thin hips to break.

That is great news!!! I loved xabungle when I was a kid. Never saw the show but had a bunch of little $5 kits and rubbery toys. Unfortunately (for my wallet) I think this one's gonna be in the higher price range for the SOC toys.

So, fans of Penny Arcade...What is going on there?

I've noticed a trend with these guys that they get bored with serial cartoon strips so I don't think this will last for long. I agree, I never read his posts as they are as dry as the desert to read. But I love the cartoons. -
Amazing isn't it? I don't know how you people do it. And the beauty of it is, it's almost free to make it! All you need is a lot of talent.
-
Thanks for the *bump* !! I don't know how, but I completely missed this thread! What amazing work. Graham once sent me the link to a 1:1 papercraft pulse rifle from the movie Aliens. But I was always too daunted to make a model out of mere paper.. you make it look like magic. I guess all my small mind can complrehend is paper airplanes.
-
I have given up on the toys so I went and bought the 1/72 vf-0 fighter kit from Hasegawa. By the time I get to finishing the toys will probably be out!
-
haha, don't bother with the battery. Sebastian and I walked around shops for ages finding the right type. I get it in the head, turn it on and....! lame-ass weak eye glow you can hardly see.

I can have a look at my leg when I get home.. I didn't have any problems with assembly, IIRC that part had about 3 or 4 little PC bits and stuff that fit inside before you snap the 2 leg parts together. so my vague guess would be you have one of the parts inside flipped the wrong way around or isn't sitting straight in its sockets.
