  1. No problem. Should be home come next Friday,
  2. Also just threw this together in case anyone would like to do some scan line of the VF-27. Hope someone puts it to good use. Would spend more time cleaning it up for this style, but quite frankly, I have rum waiting to be consumed and I have earned it this week.
  3. If you want, we have squadron lithographs of one of our planes (i.e., line scan). When I get home in about 2 weeks, I can scan one... C-130J-30 (Stretch model Super Hercules).
  4. I just lol'd Nothing to do with the fact that I fly on C-130J's or anything. Should have used a Super Herc in place of a legacy Herc, tho ;D
  5. No clue if I posted this or not (I can honestly not remember). If I did, disregard. If not, here's some artwork based on my fic. Notice the SDF-1 in the background (And yes, that's the SDF-1, not the SDF-4, since in my fic, it DOES actually end back up on Earth).
  6. Bump for the awesome art
  7. Trust me, it is. And I have a LOT of things that have been brewing in my head concerning the piece I'm working on... a LOT of ideas. Gears have been turning vigorously.
  8. I'm still SLOWLY working on mine, just been insanely busy between school, flying, and as of today, the finalization of my divorce
  9. It sounds really good. I approve of this.
  10. I'm definitely curious to see where this goes as well. PLEASE keep us posted
  11. I am I've just been swamped. Just got off orders again as of today so I should have some free time for the next two weeks to work more on it. Also, I noticed that the VF-27 colors were wrong. Quick fix. Here is the final rendition with the correct colors of the VF-27, as well as the alternate version with the spirit of the woman not visible (Albeit you can tell that there's something just not quite right with that spot from distortions and whatnot which is what I wanted). Also attached is the current (Temporary) logo for the story... I'm going to have one remade from scratch that won't look so much like just a simple Photoshop recolor/reedit of the original logo, but it gets the point across.
  12. Some established as it's still based on Frontier- as stated 6 months after the events of Frontier. The main established characters being: Alto Saotome, Sheryl Nome, Ranka Lee, Ozma Lee, Catherine Glass, Klan Klan, Jeffery Wilder, Luca Angeloni, with minor appearances of Grace O'Connor (In the form of a highly distorted hologram), Leon Mishima (Incarcerated but testifying), Brera Sterne, Isamu Dyson (Frontier-era since it was confirmed he's still around due to the second movie). A LOT of original characters (Notice that is NOT Brera Sterne in the pic)... some with relation to primary characters from the various series', such as the grand daughter of Nora Polyansky, Alexia Polyansky, who will be one of the primary antagonists that ties in the major plotline of a resurgence of Anti-UN Forces that have remained dormant for half a century. Right now the published chapters are out of order from the actual story- the first published one actually being Chapter 4 with half of Chapter 5 also published so far. Chapter 1 takes place at around 8 months after the events of Frontier, where Chapters 2-7 serve primarily as prequel chapters to the events of Frontier, like a massive set of flashbacks that establish just what exactly is going on and how things came to be the way they did. http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6790118/1/Macross_Frontier_The_Song_of_Redemption
  13. Here's the first of many high end illustrations for my story. Thoughts? This is not my work, mind you- I have the artistic talent of a 5 yearold. I had this commissioned. Bare in mind this one is resized- This attachment is 1/4 the original size
  14. Indeed they are.
  15. And last piece for tonight.
  16. And here is the second piece of Propaganda poster style art for the story... Thoughts?
  17. Very nice- I like how the second one has the texture of an actual patch. I actually thought about getting some real morale patches made with the UN Spacy logo on them for shits and giggles to wear while I'm flying around (Attached is a pic of one I made albeit not Macross-related... ended up running me $10 to get it made by a company called Fancy Stitches but I don't know if they're still around... about 10 were produced, mostly given to the Lockheed instructors at Little Rock's C-130J schoolhouse... total play on Futurama, obviously). Wish I had some images of the actual patch but I gave my last one away to a good friend who just finished C-130 pilot training. Well, the story is very centric around a silent coup d'etat of the entire NUNS Government seated on Earth 6 months after the events of Frontier by the remnants and descendents of the Anti-UN Forces from the Unification Wars... hence, the insignia of the PMC at the bottom of the poster is similar in design to the insignia of the Anti-UN Forces. And in the coup d'etat, while being done silently and behind the scenes (extortion, murder, bribery and all other forms of coercion of high ranking military and government officials), the NUNS Government is slowly being transformed into a very militaristic, totalitarianism-style state reminiscent of the strictest forms of the Soviet Union at the height of the Cold War. Also forming is a growing gap between human and Zentran/Meltran citizens, where the new administration in power is seeking to vilify non-humans as threats to the freedom and safety of the human race and that they must be treated as such, rather than as equal partners (With HEAVY reference to the events of Galia IV in Macross Frontier, as well as the events of VF-X2, where in the story it's hinting that this organization behind the coup d'etat also had a LOT to do with both events in order to try and synthesize this threat to give justification for a massive military buildup and to take humanity on the offensive). I have another piece I'm working on that plays on the famous propaganda poster from WW2 (also attached) of "HE'S WATCHING YOU," but in place of a German soldier it'll be the head of a Zentraedi soldier. Lastly, I'm thinking of doing another one that's a play on the "Someone talked!" poster, but instead of a person in the ocean, it'll be the wreckage of a Valkyrie.
  18. Well considering this is for a massive fanfic/novel I'm working on... here's a 'propaganda poster' I just finished for some of the illustrations. Any thoughts? And the inspiration was googling a bunch of old Soviet propaganda posters.
  19. I can do that I just need a few days or so- super swamped with life poo right now. Sure you know how it goes. What resolution are you looking for? I can render in any resolution. Also, what do you mean by the Galaxy graphic? If you mean the logo, I have a high res PNG file I put on the logo thread. If you mean the Battle Galaxy itself, that's a stock image I photoshopped in from the Macross Fan Art Book. Believe me, this is NOT a final product; I simply just have not had the free time to take it to the next level. I put that render together in about 5 minutes (Obviously not the model but the render scene- there's a few discrepancies that I didn't have time to fart with). It is. That's one of the render discrepancies. I'm actually SLOWLY working on redoing Brera's VF-27 material maps in a much higher resolution (The Brera VF-27 is actually using low res material maps while the Kurisu VF-27 is using high res... I plan on doing the same with Brera's, including fixing the tail number to 101 instead of 808, as I finally received my DX VF-27 figure and it's got 101 for the tail number, among a few other discrepancies and the fact that the engine intake nacelles, for some reason, rendered COMPLETELY BLACK and I didn't catch it until after the fact). As far as the actual models go, I plan on making them available to the public, free for PERSONAL use (Non-Profit). Just haven't decided on how to go about it or where to host them and I'm HOPING I can get people to contribute their own models as well... hence, the 3D Model repository idea. I've seen some GREAT models floating around and honestly think that if we were to pool our collective resources together, we could make some VERY impressive images (Due credit given, of course). As for the ACTUAL model of the VF-27 itself, I do not take credit for it. I commissioned the model to be made. I simply did the high resolution material maps and final tweaking, in which I'm still actually (slowly) tweaking it to have a full cockpit (canopy open) and a very detailed landing gear assembly, as well as FAST Packs (Of my own design since FAST Packs on the VF-27 have never been introduced). Do not ask what I paid for that commission... it wasn't cheap. But part of the agreement was that once completed, it become my sole property to do with as I wish as long as profit is not generated due to that becoming a copyright infringement with Big West and all other associated companies. THAT said... IF we DO get a repository off the ground... that'd be one MAJOR stipulation- ZERO profit for ANYTHING produced out of it. With a ZERO tolerance for violating this. I'm considering having three more models commissioned in the same fashion- the Battle Galaxy and Battle Frontier, and the YF-29 Durandal. I, myself, will be doing the AIF-9V (Galaxy) and AIF-9B (Frontier) Ghost variants.
  20. I'd say that'd probably be the best guidelines on how to go about this. But here's the caveat: Should this be handled under the Fan works section, or should it in turn have it's own section as to prevent the Fan Works section from getting cluttered up by a possible (not going to state probable) flood of individual fanfic threads?
  21. My story is on fanfiction.net and is a massive WIP as I explained to frothymug. With some illustrations that go with it (Albeit they're on dA).
  22. Kind of reminds me of the 92nd SOFS (Special Operations Fighter Squadron) paintscheme I did of the VF-22 (VF/A-22E Varient as listed on the image) about 3 years ago... Albeit nowhere near as good in quality as the lineart that's being done lately by fans, it was an attempt at a low-vis paintscheme (for Space/High Atmosphere usage). Bare in mind this was 3 years ago that I made this one. Nowhere near "quality," albeit the basic paintscheme is where I continued inspiration for my work on the VF-27 Lucifer "Kurisu" varient that I've posted images of.
  23. I love the renders on this thread. Seriously makes me want to get my ass in gear and get that Macross 3D repository site launched ASAP once I get some spare money and free time. Might as well toss the one I did up on here from my VF-27 models.
  24. No problem. Albeit, it's a well known fact I LOVE the VF-27
  25. Very nice Talos. But you left one thing out... so allow me to contribute and whoever wishes to turn this into lineart, go for it.
