OK, here is my plea to those who know. Since it dosen't look like Ace Combat is going to make it to PS3 anytime soon, and Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. is not being released this year; does anybody know of a flying combat game for PS3 I can stick under my Christmas tree this year?

Thank goodness, I thought I was the only one who did that!! The only reason I bought my PS1 was for Macross VFX and I had to get the "chip" in order to play it. Thank goodness I found ACE COMBAT!!

I think that has to do with the character design and the times we live in. I know this is beating a dead horse (again), but take a look at the original Macross character designs. Mikimoto did not design those characters with the "large breast fetish" in mind and it shows; yet I think they are the best designed characters in the entire Macross universe. The Macross Frontier characters were designed with this obsession in mind and it shows. Although Kawamori did not design them, I've got to believe that he felt it would help the show attract a "younger" audience? Or possibly those dirty old men among us ? Whichever is the case, large breasts are becoming a staple of anime; just look at Dragonaut, it will put your eyes out man!!

Brother, all us old school Macross fans ARE Richard Birla!! And there's nothing wrong with that!!

God, this makes me feel soooo old but, If I remember correctly in the episode that had Capt.Pike commanding the Enterprise, Spock WAS emotional. I even believe there was a scene where Spock was playing chess with him and he was smiling; that's if my memory is working.

Well there will definately be haters on this film. After seeing the pictures, I really don't know what to think or feel. Being an old school Star Trek fan I liked the idea of going back to the original crew, especially since I never really liked The Next Generation; but these pictures have me stumped. I'm sure that's Kirk(ya!!) in the black shirt, and it's probably due to the fact that the film could take place before Kirk takes command of the Enterprise. Spock looks cool and so does Uhura! As far as the bridge is concerned it's not what I thought, but I won't complain. I'm just glad the old crew is back and I don't have to hear that old bald headed captain say: "Make it so" anymore.

Yes, but is that a good thing? I don't know about Aquarion( I've only seen a couple episodes) but, many fans of Escaflowne over in Japan loved the tv series and were disapointed in the movie. The visuals were outstanding and yet it did not have the same effect on fans and many came away upset by the changes. Everybody is looking to the Mac F movie to have that same impact as DYRL(I pray that it does ), but I'm not sure that's going to happen. Oh' I'm sure it will be good it's just I don't think 25 years from now it will still have A place in fans hearts like DYRL.

Yes, and that's the problem! It's like they needed some mecha as some eye candy, in order to draw viewers in. Having the mecha designed by Kawamori was (I believe) to draw Macross fans to the show. In the first few episodes they use them and the show looks cool, unfortunately as I have watched up to episode 8, the mecha action is few and far inbetween; as a matter of fact some of the best action takes place in a flashback episode.

Personally, the only thing I want to "see" Ozuma pork is CANNON FIRE!!!! As for Alto is concerned:"Please, Kawamori for the love of sanity have Alto hook up with Sheryl!!!" And for Basara? Well a cameo of an aged Basara is ok, only if we can see Minmay!!!

I hate to beat a dead horse but DYRL is STILL the s#it!!! If Kawamori can bring the level of Macross F up to the same degree he took Macross to DYRL that WOULD BE DECULTURE!!!! Just in case Mr. Kawamori is reading this: "GIVE YOUR BOY MIKIMOTO SOME LOVE AND LET HIM DO THE CHARACTERS FOR THE MACROSS F MOVIE!!!"

**sob*** It's soo beautiful that I'm crying!!!! I have a quick question since we are on the subject of Dangaioh. Can somebody tell me the relationship between the original Dangaioh and Dangaioh 2? I only saw the first tape and did not like it so I didn't pick up the rest of the series. If there is a link between the two, I might look for it to add to my collection.

I'm the third person to vote for Ranka!! I liked her from the start and dispite all the Ranka bashing I still like her. She reminds me of Minmay and like her, in the end SHE SAVED THE DAY!!!
