Yes, that's pretty much what I was hoping, that Mudflap and Skids don't even show up in the next film!

I guess I won't mind the recycled animation provided that the majority of the film (say 80 %) is NEW stuff. And I don't mean the exact same scene with say Alto wearing a new suit or Ranka with new clothes.

I don't know about that. I originally thought Clone Wars was going to be crap until I saw it.

OH NO!! It's the Evangelion films all over again!!!!

O.K., this sounds like a movie I will wait for on DVD, only to watch the scenes with the Transformers in them, and fast foward past EVERYTHING ELSE!(Which is how I watch the first Transformers movie).

So, is it worth seeing or should I wait for the DVD?

I don't really care about it being a re-telling, that's fine by me. My problem is going to be the re-used animation from the tv series. I can't be 100% sure, but I think all we're going to get is several Macross F episodes complied into a movie, with a couple new scenes. I don't believe this is going to be like DYRL, which was an entirely new animated film, not re-cycled Macross tv episodes.

thank goodness, it's about Friggin time!!! I hope they put in flares for the player's aircraft instead of just the enemy fighters, and being able to choose a side and even a squadron would be nice. I hope they get rid of the "whinny" wingmen who constantly complain about the military and war DURING COMBAT!! Man, that was the WORST part about AC5! I was so glad when "Chopper" went down, and that's bad because he's supposed to be on my side! When you start disliking the people your flying with, and wan't to see them shot down, something has gone wrong somewhere! Also the shoot at your own allies because they are "enemies of peace" was a bit heavy handed. I realize that the writers had definate themes running through the game: "War is bad. The military is bad. Peace is the ultimate goal. Achieve it at all cost." But, man I hope they don't do that for this new game!!

That's the long-awaited sequel that Macross fans have been waiting for and unfortunately will probably never get!!

"WHAT YOU TALKING BOUT KAWAMORI?!!" Is he saying that the only real Macross is the original, and all the rest are fictional tv series that take place in the Macross universe? Meaning that Misa, Hikaru, and Minmay are relaxing on the Megaroad-01 watching re-runs of Macross plus, Mac-7 and Macross F? THAT'S FRIGGIN GREAT!!!

DEAR GOD IT HURTS TOO MUCH TO TALK ABOUT! (SNIFF) Flashback is the last time we see Hikaru, Misa, and Minmay. The Macross universe has gone on without them, and Kawamori has pretty much laid them to rest. I can't speak for anybody else, but I love Flashback however I have not watched in years on purpose. I really ejoyed those characters and the story behind them. Knowing that we'll probably NEVER find out happen to them, I don't talk about it with other fans. If someone asks about it I'll tell them, but I'll usually point them toward Macross 7 or Macross Frontier. That the new Macross, old-timers like me tend to be too nostalgic.
