    I 've just finished watching ROTF on DVD. It's not as bad as I thought it would be, probably because I fast-foward past all the scenes with any humans in it. The action scenes are great, and the last battle was awesome. Skipping past the scenes with Sam, his parents, Megan, and Leo (who I found to be more annoying and useless than Skids and Mudflap) actually increased my enjoyment of the film! Hearing all the negative reviews about Skids and Mudflap made me wonder about purchacing the DVD as I did not see the movie when it was out, however they were not offensive to me at all. As a black man, I didn't see them as being "Black Autobots" and that Bay was trying to imply that black people coundn't read, hence Skids and Mudflap couldn't either. I saw them as being Bay's sad attempt to be "hip" and "cool" by creating characters that talked like kids today. I saw them more like, if you'll forgive the expression: "Gangsta Autobots" than a racist stereotype. The gold tooth was stupid, but then an Autobot with buck teeth is dumb from the begining. All-in-all I enjoyed the film, but only because I was able to skip a large portion. If I had been subjected to the entire film in a theater, I know I would have hated it.

    True, Jacob did wrestle with the angel all night long, and would not let him go until he recived a blessing. However, if Jacob had inflicted any real damage to the angel, then how did he manage to "dislocate" Jacob's hip by touching him? I don't think the angel was in any real danger of being killed by a man. Also, Goliath is a human/ fallen angel hybrid but nowhere in scripture does it indicate that he had angelic powers. Sure he was a giant, and those of his race were giants but they were not angels. Besides, Goliath challenged the army of Israel, and David was standing against one who ridiculed God. I believe that God put little "something extra" behind that stone David used! In any case, I still think the idea of a group of humans and one rebel angel using machine guns to kill angels is just plain dumb. I can suspend my belief only so far when watching movies, and LEGION would require more than I've got.

    OK, let me put my 2 cents in here. According to what I've read about the film, God has lost faith with humanity and decides to wipe us off the earth by sending a legion of angels to do it. One angel, I'm not sure which one decides to rebel against God and fight against against the angels (armed with a machine gun and sword, mind you) in order to protect a woman who is supposed to give birth to the messiah. The trailer is on youtube, and I got to say that: THIS IS THE DUMBEST MOVIE I THINK HOLLYWOOD HAS EVER TURNED OUT!!!!! First, if God wanted to wipe humanity out, why bother with angels, he could just fling the planet into the sun or crash the moon into the Earth. And second, the hero angel and the humans that fight with him are using machine guns. MACHINE GUNS CAN KILL ANGELS?!! If you believe the Bible, one angel alone can slay thousands, and yet a legion of angels can be taken out by man-made weapons? Give me a friggin break! I have no intention of wasting my time with something THIS DUMB!!

    The last episode of Magnum P.I. where he finds out that his daughter is still alive. That scene in the church where she hugs him still brings tears to my eyes.

    Just finished watching Stargate Universe, and all I can say is that it 'reeks' of Battlestar Galatica (AND I HATED BATTLESTAR GALATICA!!!). I hope they continue playing SG1 and Atlantis because I'm not wasting my time with this one!

    I have to say this is the first Gundam show I've been excited about since Gundam: "War in the Pocket"! The mobile suits look great, and I love the character designs; they have that 80's look to them.

    So would ALOT of us, unfortunately Mr. Kawamori has all but said that he's told the story of Hikaru, Misa, and Minmay. As much as we would like to see this, it is unlikely that it would happen; at least with Kawamori calling the shots.

    Why didn't UNIT contact the Doctor? And now that I think about it, doesn't UNIT usually take care of the alien threats; why even bother with Torchwood ?

    I've just finshed watching Torchwood: Children of Earth. It's not bad, but it would have been better if the Doctor had showed up to save the day. Is this the end of the Torchwood TV show?
