    Decided to skip this one. Would have preferred Banshee Norn. Why not included all the parts so we can choose normal or Norn configuration. RRP ¥20,000 too much for me right now. Even Amiami price wasn't enough to sway me. Probably release Norn configuration next year. I'll have more money then.... But I think I'll be saving for 2x Arcadia YF-19 v2 at that point. Hehehe. Wonder when they release Unicorn in the green psycho frame configuration. If they do, I hope they fix the knee articulation. It's quite limited on the current MC. Actually I wonder if its also limited on the upcoming MC Banshee. I'd imagine the models are almost identical? Regarding Metal Comp and Metal Build: I think only difference between MC and MB GFF lines is MB comes with much better stands where as MC usually just has a plaque. The Unicorn stand was pathetic. I used an Action Base 1 instead. UC is always MC, while everything else is MB. Exception is 0 Gundam which was MC line and wasnt very good. I've got grey version and its only okay. Limited articulation, minimal accessories. Should have come with wings of light.

    0083 is one of my favourites (love the mecha designs, especially GP01). 0083 falls between 0079 (The One Year War) and Zeta Gundam.

    Hope it's just a mix up on the prototype. If I was buying a 2nd one for display as R2 variation I'd be more upset, but I could only justify 1 purchase and display as R1. Cross fingers it gets fixed though. Looks like that whole component is just the R3 armour part and they got lazy, since the pic is suppose to demonstrating the gimmick of the GN drive.     Amiami had MB Exia RI up for ¥11150, and from past purchases, EMS shipping to Australia for my MC Gundam Origin was ¥3360. I didn't even know they had removed the Seven Sword gear! That is a kind of a kick in the nuts... Well if anyone wanted to buy the Tamashii Nation exclusive Special Marking 00 Raiser Gundam and trade it for my Seven Swords 00 Gundam, I'd be interesting in a straight trade (depending on shipping cost to send to each other I suppose). I probabaly shouldn't though, since I already got the glare from my wife while I was preordering Exia RI.... Is it the colour of the back skirting armor?     Amiami had their preorder up today, and I missed it by a few minutes. Was checking out and it went out of stock. DOH! HLJ have it also, but ¥2000 more. After private warehouse shipping with my Macross Chronicles it'll still be a bit more than Amiami. Ahh well...

    Thanks for the better sans. Repair I is definitely my favourite. So funny that a busted up battle damaged version is better than the all the later revisions. Well the 00 Raiser re-release is coming out this June or July isn't it? It's apparently going to have updated decals and colouring to make it a better match to the Exia. I also read that they made improvements to the connectivity of the 0 Raiser to the 00 Gundam for stability. There was speculation they might also re-release the 00 Gundam 7S also, but we really don't know. What people do think is that the updated 00 Gundam Raiser will be the final release and there will not be re-released after that, so might want to get in there and get that if there really will not be a re-release of 7S. I was tempted to get the updated 00 Gundam Raiser, but It's a pretty hefty investment, since I already have 2 of the 00 Gundam 7S original release, and the additional 0 Raiser attachment. Need to prioritise. It would have been amazing if Bandai released the Exia release with Avalanche equipment option. Now that would warrant a definite purchase right? Avalanche and Repair I. Price would be higher, but you really would be forced to buy it twice.

    UPDATE! Gundam Guy blog post was updated and the new MB Exia release will include parts for Repair II also! Also price was updated to ¥13,800. Tempted to get 2 so I can have an Exia Repair II on display also, but I probably cannot afford it. Saving up for the updated Sony NEX-7 mirrorless camera to replace my NEX-5N.

    Exia/Exia RIII was ¥11,000 from Amiami last year, so probably $150-$160 with EMS. I totally missed the amiami preorder last time, and had to go with HLJ @ ¥13,500, but probably paid about the same as amiami after shipping since I combined shipping with the 8 issues of Macross Chronicle I had in my Private Warehouse Maybe I should go down that route again.... decisions decisions.... Can never tell what the ¥ exchange rate will be in September, so might be wise to pay up front early with HLJ and lock in the current strong exchange rate. I wonder what gimmicks Exia RI is going to come with, besides just being all beat up. Hopefully option to completely change to regular Exia for people who didn't get the Exia/Exia RIII release. That would require A LOT of part swapping.

    Yeah, the Metal Composite 0 Gundam is pretty meh. It really is just a 1:100 scale version of a 1:144 Fix Figuration, but a bit higher quality. Same limited articulation, and the materials feel a little gummy. Not as tough as the Metal Build plastics, but definitely not as soft as the 1:144 FF. Gimmicks are also very limited. The GN drive is not removable, no GN Feathers (wings of light), or stand (only a name base, but that seems like the norm for MC). Not sure if 0 Gundam was very popular (I like it though), so probably only a slim chance of it being released as a Metal Build. Actually with SEED Destiny HD Remaster kicking off recently and all the renewal SEED model kits, I wouldn't be surprised if the next Metal Build was Destiny or Strike Freedom. bleh to Destiny.... I'd much prefer Impulse Gundam with all 3 equipment packs and parts swapping for the colour changes. So many cool gimmicks to fit in there. They tried some of the gimmicks on the Fix Figuration (like leg flyer, chest flyer etc), but that was awful.... (I know because I foolishly bought one). The whole thing was so loose and wonky. I wouldn't say no to a Metal Build Strike Freedom though. Would go nicely with the Metal Build Freedom

    Got a chance to check out the Metal Build Exia, and it is amazing. Excellent poseability, solid joints, great balance, fantastic detail and build quality. I'm a little bit sad I didn't get a 2nd one so I could display it as a sort of Exia Repair II. So many awesome gimmicks too! Exia Exia Repair II. Impressed I was able to get this pose without support. NAKED! I should have taken out the GN drive too. Compared to other Metal Composites and Metal Builds If they ever release a Trans-Am version I'll be buying it in a heartbeat. After examining the construction, it looks like it is not possible to swap out parts to make it into Exia Repair I. It would have to be a whole separate release. Highly recommend Metal Build Exia if you can get your hands on one. I'm guessing the new Metal Composite (new mold) will be Gundam Banshee, and next Metal Build will be Perfect Strike. Actually, I wouldn't mind if they did a renewal version of the Unicorn, cuz the current design has pretty limited articulation. The Super HCM-Pro that was released after it had amazing articulation. Maybe a Full Armored Unicorn with the green Destroy mode.

    My Metal Build Exia is on the way from HLJ! Will post impressions once it arrives and I can check it out. Still hoping for a Tamashii web exclusive Trans Am version like the one that was released for 00 Raiser Gundam and an add on set to upgrade (downgrade???) it to Exia Repair.

    if you manage to find a 30th Super & Strike parts pack, the option parts are molded in dark blue/grey. Think VF-1A Cavaliers dark. I think someone mentioned the earlier 30th S&S parts pack did have DYRL white parts. I'm really surprised that the non 30th VF-1J Hikaru was an updated V2.2, and not the original V2.0. So awesome. Actually I shouldn't be surprised. The VF-1A CF TV I got recently from HK Collectables was also a V2.2, even though it is listed as V2.0 on Scorched Earth blog - http://anymoon.com/blog/?p=4599 You're tempting me to get one, but I promised myself that I would not get ANY character custom Valks, cuz I'd start with just "my favourite characters", then lead into "so and so character" and in the end I'd be getting ALL the character customs. XD - can't afford that (and no space too).

    check out this blog for a review on the unassembled kit http://www.mech9.com/blog/2012/08/yamato-160-vf-1a-no-paint-kit-with-bonus-option-parts/ I've got an unassembled kit that I need to find time to put together. From what I've read, the kit is not for inexperienced model kit builders. Runners are all unmarked, so you have to identify the parts by inspection. Also the 30th anniversary kits don't come with stickers. Only water slide decals (well mine did anyway). I wouldn't call myself experienced, so i reckon this is going to be a long build - maybe even a train wreck if I'm not careful.

    GFFMC Unicorn is awesome. I have 2 of the prism coated versions (so I can display in unicorn and destroy mode ) You're gonna love it. The only con is the articulation in the knees could have been better. I would have liked more range of motion. They should really make a GFFMC Banshee to go along with the GFFMC Unicorn. Do you think they'll release a trans-am version of the MB Exia? I'd love to get one just so I can pose it with the dual beam sabres like in the anime when they first discover trans-am. I am hoping they also release an add on pack so you can convert the MB Exia into Exia Repair I. Love the cape and busted up face.

    Oh yeah I also read that 1/100 MC Psycho Gundam is being re-released too. My wish for a UC GFFMC would be GP01 ground version with swappable FB armor parts. *starry eyes*

    I read they are re-releasing the original finish GFFMC Unicorn this year. Metal Build line seems to be doing well. Exia R3 is next. Seems like MB release pattern is 00 -> SEED -> 00, so I hoping 4th MB will be Strike with all Striker Packs (wishful thinking). It's probably only be AILE pack, and Launcher/Sword packs as Tamashii exclusive (poo)

    Update: I've given up the idea of using hot glue. Little too risky considering it would probably leak the same kind of paint eating chemicals as the clear rubber grips on the Flight Pose stands. Have opted for the Bandai Action Stand 1 instead.
