    Hi-Metal R

Funny you should say that, while that's true, I was overjoyed to find the non 'super parts only' version of the fighter mode adapter. The VT-1 is my 5th HMR VF-1 variant, and it's the first one to come with that. 3 out of 4 of the previous HMR VF-1's I'd bought didn't come with supers, but did come with the useless super part stand adapter. I guess you did say you're glad it's back.
  2. Thanks!! Ordering a 102F and 101.
  3. Trying to decide which variants to get, couple of questions. -Does each set come with 2x FAST style missile pylons and 2x 'strike' cannons, or just what they're pictured with? -Can the dong piece be removed from the rest of the hip armor? -Do they all come with forearm reaction missiles?
  4. What are the odds they release Roy's 1S next? I hope with TV flight suit....
  5. They almost have late TV hikaru on the cover there, they just need the TV style arm units.
  6. Variable Fighter Master File VF-1 Battroid Valkyrie http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/NEOBK-2244066 I'll get one, but dang it man, I was hoping for VF-11 thunderbolt or VF-3000 crusader.
  7. True, but I guess I should have specified: I was mainly thinking of the vast majority of VF-31As that would be produced during the type's lifetime: pure-military machines used by NUNS (or so I hope). In such a fleet, located far away from the divas, the drone charger would be dead weight. (also, having looked at Delta's mecha online the whole time, but being unable to watch the series until last fall, I was pretty surprised to see that they used the dang thing a grand total of one time, IIRC. Thanks for the info on the modeling book, i'll have to get that one. That VF-31A with sensor / missile pod half is a thing of beauty.
  8. Yeah, it's a shame Satellite never modeled any underwing ordnance for the 25, which is really odd because they did model ordnance for the 117 in episode 1. I really love the PACSWS-1G that we see in M30 and Master File, thing's like an AIM-54 Phoenix on mega-steroids.
  9. Building on the above, I'd like to formally propose a conclusion of mine here that I've been thinking about for a while: The episode 1 loadout of Henry Gilliam, and Satellite's "non-valk accuracy" in general. I was reading a thread on here a while ago, discussing the VF-31A's useless drone charger that is featured on both the Bandai DX and Satellite's in-show model. Someone made the excellent point that Satellite was not 'valk-accurate' in this case, as why the hell would the VF-31A carry the dead weight of a drone charger. I don't have the VF-31 Master file but I believe someone pointed out that in the 31 MF or some other non-show notes, the 31A has a micromissile pod instead of a drone charger for that half of the weapons pod. How does this pertain to VF-25 hardpoints? Glad you asked; I can prove that Gilliam's loadout for Frontier episode 1 actually looked like this, despite Satellite's show model: Site: http://sp.macross.jp/modelers/?id=113 Glad I found this modeler, a picture's worth a thousand words after all. In MF episode 1, Gilliam jettisons his super pack to pursue the red soldier Vajra into Island one (as he will need to fly in-atmosphere) and is visually carrying nothing but his gunpod. However, when he first attacks the vajra, he clearly does so with missiles that resemble the AMM-101. See Gilliam_missile.jpg. VF-25's don't carry internal missile ordnance, therefore Gilliam must have carried AMM-101s on his outer hardpoints and retained them when he Jett'd his super packs. As a side note, I totally intend on building this loadout once I can get my hands on a hasegawa super VF-25 (already have the normal hasegawa 25 with the 18 AMM-101s.)

    BANDAI DX YF-19!!

What on earth is that grey fighter with the dorsal intakes on the left?? Dorsal intakes sound like a bad idea for a dogfighter, angle of attack and all that....

    BANDAI DX YF-19!!

Well. I thought I had heard that this one was general release, so i spaced out and didn't order right away. Came on here and kind of panicked, but my wife is such an awesome babe, she found one just now on Yodobashi (I usually use Rakuten but they're sold out) https://www.yodobashi.com/product/100000001003879628/ Sorry for those that don't live in Japan.
  12. Love the langley stripe btw!
  13. Anyone ordered from experten before? If one has a japanese address, do you just contact them in Nihongo?
  14. Hot damn, look at this thing! https://twitter.com/expertenannex/status/942119433681563
  15. Thirded! In addition to these, it's a proper two-seater and it has elbow rockets for badass punches! Love the 3000 so much. Looks like Experten has put up some test shot photos? https://twitter.com/expertenannex
  16. That's what I'm afraid of... there's no more story left besides the orange 'final mission' option in the Geifon menu. At least, I think, I can't remember if you can explore the world after you clear havamal's fortress but before you go after the final boss. Is this game really structured so that you can't get these things on new game plus???
  17. OK, really confused here... Anyone know how to get the VF-25 super parts? The FAQ says they're at Urthur Race 2, but when I visit Urthur there are no Races at all! I'm in a new game plus on hard mode, and I just got past the Quarter / Sharon apple fight. Still no races. Also, I need the VF-19S, but Cleef town's hunter guild only has two quests available, both of which I completed... "5000G bounty" and "orkos operation". Does anyone know how getting quests to post works??

    3d Valkyries

Fantastic job, i like how you placed the tailhook pretty close to where i always thought it should go: centerline extending from the backpack.
  19. Also, the intro riff from 'Holy lonely light' is totally stolen from megadeth's 'Skin o' my teeth'.
  20. Been enjoying this game, just got to the desert (chapter 4 I think?) and I must ask: is there a version of the VF-1S in this game that has head lasers?? I was very disappointed to find out upon finally unlocking the 1S that it has no head lasers to speak of. Which just seems insane to me because the VF-0S has almost the same loadout under the wings but has the lasers. Maybe I'm a bit hung up on this because recently I was talking to a macross-fan friend of mine, and I figured out that I'm a bit more of a fan of head lasers than the average macross fan maybe.... lol
  21. Whoa, HG's box art has TV ARMDs! Wierd.

    Yamato VF-19P

The 19P was a holy grail of mine for a long time until i found one in AKB a few months ago, and I love the thing to death. In my opinion the P (without the sound fins) is the ultimate 19 variant. Just leave Waldo in the box and put someone else in there, i have Docker in mine, but Yeti's Isamu looks even better.
  23. I'm dying to see this, but I'm in the same boat as Jefuemon, not working in Japan...
  24. So I'm not really sure exactly where I should post this, here or fan works.... but I wanted to share these, because I think they're interesting. For the last few years, my friends and I have been running a SDFM(TV) - style RPG campaign following the exploits of the SVF-111 Sundowners. Relevant to this post is the battle on Mars that they participated in while wearing GBP armor. We created some interesting configurations due to the way the dice rolled... Here we have le GBP 1J, piloted by LT "Flash" West, my friend's character, represented by Hikaru's 1J. Just pretend the GBP is mostly black and the VF-1 is mostly light gull grey, with white hands and upper arms, with some VF-111 sunburst livery on the tails and canopy shield. During the course of the battle, a Glaug relieves him of his head, via impact cannon. Now running blind, he jettisons most of his armor, and transforms to gerwalk, keeping the boosters and forearm units. After firing all his wrist rockets, he dumps the forearms as well. With the battle over, it's time to fly back to the Prometheus before Salla base's reactor blows up! Since Mars has lower gravity and a thinner atmosphere, we imagined that flying in the configuration would work there, whereas it probably wouldn't on earth. Coming in for a trap. "Sundowner 103, call the ball." Landed.
  25. Saburo I must ask, you painted ozma's armor black right? Doesn't it come in gray like altos? Either way amazing shots!!
