Macross Frontier News Thread IV *Read 1st post*
Kronnang Dunn replied to azrael's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
You know... The original SDF Macross had lots of IDEON influences in it... except for the ending that is... Perhaps that's what Kawamori meant when he said that Frontier was going to be the type of Macross series he always wanted to make? all the way? -

Actually I love it. That song is beautiful... Just like Arkan from Zero... makes sense with everything that has happened so far. If it ends up in a higher note fine by me... But the whole messy situation may probably end like Kreshpy said... Wars are bad ppl... all the way!!! Am I the only one happy to hear that? Down with the whole nonsense!!! -
Exactly my point. Also, the plot of Ender is very similar to that of Frontier so far. And the fact that the bugs from Ender didn't mind killing human beings since they thought they weren't sentient by themselves (only parts of a whole) is another similarity. I believe all this was already mentioned before on this very same thread...

That's her same outfit at the photo from the science magazine article in Episode 18. I already mentioned back in the discussion thread for that Episode that Sheryl's style was obviously given to her by Grace... -

Err... Actually Shoji Kawamori himself revealed to NT that your "most perfect human minded android in the Macross Universe" is ... In fact... Kawamori also described her conduct as that of a ... Her reactions to each new discovery confirm that... -
I believe somebody in this thread mentioned that the bugs from Ender have a collective consciousness like the Vajra... That seems pretty similar to me...

"Is that you, Leon Mishima?" Hehehe... Just kidding. Seriously man... Take a grip. If you have watched all the episodes so far... You must have realised by now (as most of us do) that the whole Vajra-Frontier War was part of Grace's plan. Frontier indeed has to defend itself from the Vajra if it wants to survive now... But the whole messy situtation was Grace's and Leon's fault... not the Vajra (who have been used just like Frontier). And remember that the whole "The Vajra want to anihilate us" was said by Leon. Would you really trust that murderous usurper? I wouldn't... Given the fact that the Vajra can fold immediately to anywhere in the Galaxy... How come they haven't attacked Earth? Or Eden? Simple... They are attacking those who venture in the center of the galaxy (their turf... just like I mentioned earlier...). And Episode 23 clearly showed that while each Vajra drone is mindless... The whole Vajra race has a collective consciousness/brain/intelligence. In the end... that's the only thing that may stop the War (With Ranka's help of course)... Like I posted waaaay back... Mishima killed the president because he would have never allowed direct conflict witht he Vajra. The Frontier fleet isn't a War Fleet. Is a Colonization Fleet... -

Isn't that pinky spiral in the Birdman made of fold quartz? In fact... the hole from where its blood leaked was in that area and seemed diamond shaped... AFAIK, The birdman is a Protoculture creation. And according to Macross Zero is from 10,000 years ago. The Protoculture created mankind nearly 500,000 years ago, so by the time of the Birdman's arrival on Earth Protoculture technology was super-duper advanced (that's why they discovered/created the fold quartz until then...)... The Protoculture left the Birdman on Earth as a test/probe/last resort-doomsday device for stopping humanity from becoming war-like as the Zentradi... I'm telling you ppl... The Vajra came from the Birdman... -
I haven't read the Ender books, but judging by what I know about that universe and the way the plot of Frontier has developed so far with the new revelations about the Vajra... Both bug species from Ender's and F have obviously some similarities... (which is a good thing actually...)

Alto's destiny is guessed from KABUKI-show "Sakurahime Azuma

No... More like he has done things according to the present events... Not something that he really wants in his heart... -
Alto's destiny is guessed from KABUKI-show "Sakurahime Azuma
Kronnang Dunn replied to yui1107's topic in Movies and TV Series
Mmmh... But you must admit that Alto seems so indecisive in his relationship with both Sheryl and Ranka that what his brother told him may be actually true... Also consider what Ozma told him earlier... Alto hasn't made his real choice... yet... -
I believe we may see Alto using the VF-171 EX next episode (Which judging by the previews is going to have the initial part of the final battle in it). Perhaps by Episode's 24 end his EX valk is destroyed or damaged... but Alto is saved by Ozma (who just arrives by the end of the Episode with the rest of the SMS desertors). Then on the Final Episode we may see Ozma and Alto in their trademark VF-25s dogfighting vs Grace and Brera in the VF-27s...
-
With 2 episodes to go and by the look of things right now, Alto may very well end up alone in the end...

Alto's destiny is guessed from KABUKI-show "Sakurahime Azuma
Kronnang Dunn replied to yui1107's topic in Movies and TV Series
Hehehe... I actually don't think he will en up killing her. He may try to, but he just won't be able to do so in the end (I just couldn't neither...). Perhaps by series end humanity finds a way to coexist with the Vajra. Ranka stays with them and Alto returns to acting (since there won't be any need for him to fight to defend the fleet anymore). -
Ring of Vajra planet orbital elevator?
Kronnang Dunn replied to RedWolf's topic in Movies and TV Series
You know... Being a recent super-fan of Orguss the first thing I thought when I watched the Vajra planetary ring closely is that it seems to root from the planet below... Got a very strong Space Elevator vibe last episode... -
Which is the best biological weapon?
Kronnang Dunn replied to RedWolf's topic in Movies and TV Series
I believe the Vajra are the best. They reproduce like crazy and evolve from furred little mice things to big-ass warship destroyer mecha. I bet the Vajra carriers and the hiveships are also evolved Vajra... still need confirmation for that. The fact that they produce weaponry, missiles and other ammo on demand and that they can overcome fold faults makes them pretty sneaky and deadly. Their adaptation to enemy weapons is also amazing. I bet they haven't been around for that long, if not they could very well had dominated/infested the whole galaxy by now... or more!!! -
Macross Frontier Episode 23 Talkback Thread *READ 1st Post*
Kronnang Dunn replied to azrael's topic in Movies and TV Series
Simple fact or not, Frontier is invading their turf... not the other way around... (and the only culprit behind the whole three month disaster is Leon Mishima). Leon's argument to Alto was that the Vajra are bent on anihilating humanity... If that's the case why don't they just attack Earth and Eden and wipe us out? He's obviously lying to Alto... Bilrer on the other hand seems motivated by the whole fold quartz harvesting of the Vajra. They produce the crystals using interstellar matter and raw materials from fixed stars and such. So the bee comparison is very adecuate to me... The fold quartz is like their "honey"... and the Vajra planet is their main hive. More than destroying us, they want us out of the galactic center... (I wonder why? To protect their main hive? Or something else?) According to gg subs Ranka was infected in utero with the V-Type strain... So she is immune to its dangerous effects and can communicate with the bugs. Leon said that the Vajra are using her as a foot hold/Vanguard point for taking over and destroying humanity. I guess he's right in part... But she is more like a battle coordinator-queen to them... I also believe the "Aimo" song is their own unique way of interspecies communication. Is logical to assume that Grace used Ranka to destroy the 117th fleet as a test of Vajra control. It failed and she thought Ranka dead. Now she is using her again and the whole Frontier vs Vajra scenario is a repetition of said experiment... -
The Future of Macross - Where will it go from here??
Kronnang Dunn replied to taksraven's topic in Movies and TV Series
I just had an epiphany... A show with a story from the Zentradi point of view...!!!!! (Just imagine... there's 500,000 years worth of Space War stories there!!!) "MACROSS: DECULTURE STORIES" -
Ranka Lee - Innocent naive teenager or Evil war criminal
Kronnang Dunn replied to taksraven's topic in Movies and TV Series
I believe that the Compendium clearly establishes as Macross canon the fact that humanity is the product of mutation of the already existing life on Earth by the Protoculture... We weren't entirely created from scratch by them... -

Actually you could very well be right... Galaxy technology seems to be based on the use of fold quartz a lot... The VF-27 BFG has many on its barrel... Grace has some on her implant controls... (necklace). -

It was already announced in the news thread that the October issue of NT had the identity of Galaxy anonymous... (Kawamori's own words). No rogues members of Galaxy at all... I believe they already achieved their main objective by episode's end (control of the Vajra)... -

Kronnang Dunn replied to azrael's topic in Movies and TV Series
Indeed. I bet they already accomplished the hacking, but still need Ranka as some type of battle coordinator/Queen for the Vajra... I find very interesting that the hacked Vajra fold network looks like the image at the end of the new "Lion" intro... I always suspected that was important for the plot somehow... Now I understand why... -
Macross Frontier Plot Theories...
Kronnang Dunn replied to Kronnang Dunn's topic in Movies and TV Series
That... or perhaps the damaged birdman produced it... Btw... Things are finally coming full circle... So Ranka is a carrier of the V-Type infection... But she's immune to its deadly effects because her mother was ill with it when she was gestating... Ranshe must have died of the disease... She discovered Grace's plans of controlling the Vajra with implants and fold communication... Now Grace hacked the Vajra fold network with the Galaxy staff fold network... So now it will be... Vajra + Macross Galaxy vs Macross Frontier... Bad news ppl!!!
