Kakizaki!!! Finally after selling it several years ago to cover some health expenses I finally have the Yamato Vermilion team together again. I still remeber getting this one from HLJ way back in the day with a 30% off! ... plus 4 more brownies 2 closed from Mandarake and opened from Ami ami. Had to ask for a friend to get the second one from ami ami to bypass the 1 per household limit. Count 24.

VF-19 was selling for 18k yen at Mandarake. I see this one going for 16 or 15 in a couple of weeks. Bandai really messed this one up.

Still a bit gundamesky but not as bad as the Delta. I kinda like more this drone twist than the jousting/recon craft. Lol. It is just me or those canons are a reminiscent of the super/strike boosters from Macross?

That battery is just terribly bad placed... Out of joke, I still have the spare head from the GBP bundle and always wanted to try to customize the google but bringing in 2 or 3 little pots of quality acrylics is completely out of question. There are some acrylics that I used to work with when I was in college but don't really want to screw up a DX head. -

Are designers considering the licensing limitation of the Macross brand world wide? I mean, it is labeled "Macross" and "Hikaru Hichiyo" Even if it passes I don't see how this could sell under the Macross brand outside Japan.

The extra head in that bundle could actually be the one with the white goggle. Only in very rare instances the TV armored VF-1J is presented with a white goggle.

If Bandai is going to pull one more of this dumb moves at less they should throw in a grey goggle head like yamato did back then.

More Hi Metal goodies from Madarake Wanted to display an armored VF-1 along some brownies but realized that the bright white hands of the TV latest releasd GBP would pop up too much with the of white of the 1As. Grabed this one for cheap, 8k yen. Max is my first Hi Metal toy. There is a VF-1S strike and a Hikaru that I want to get but will have to wait for the next month. Hope they don't sell out. Lol. And as abonus for my display I scored one of these trident plus stands. Also... count up to 20. One sealed and one opened. I noticed that as per January 1 Mandarake pushed the price of a sealed Hi Metal R VF-1A from 16k to 17k yen.

Some are going for lower than 20k yen at mandarake. Don't know how they manage tariffs but shiping is not like super crazy.

Oddly I see it still available at HLJ. I wonder is something is going worng with the new order and cancellation dates. I still have a Samus figma figure that was released at the end of January and now shows as discontinued and no changes in my order. Also the date of closing orders shows 1/30, 2 days before the preorders opened.

The only complaint I ever heard from the first release was how translucent the wings were, somebody mentioned it could be because bandai used a lower quality plastic than usual. I have the first release and a Shin 0A and don't really see any difference design wise

It is just not physiological disorder. For a small company, Yamato did way better almost 20 years ago.

To play a lot with it, tranform it several times, take a pictures and so on, hands down Bandai since it is more sturdy and plastic is relatively new while Yamato is extremely fiddly and since it is quite old toy it can be very brittle. If you want only to display, Bandai if you want Battroud mode and Yamato if you want a fighter mode. This is my currente set up. Bandai for Battroid mode, both 19 and 21, and Yamato/Arcadia both for fighter mode.
