  1. The Mech all the way for me, no....the Mikimoto......no, the Mech!, yeah, that's it, I love the Mech.....but then again, the Mikimoto looks so classic....no, no, gotta stay the course, thousand points of light, it takes a village, the Mech!... But, then again, the Mikimoto......
  2. Wow, I remember waiting a while for the fan racer on the first bulk Tanmen order, but I did eventually get it. On the flip side, I was insulted by his web site which at that time had all this anti-war crap on it. Hey, hate the war, but love the goddamned Soldier. I decided back when I saw his web site that I would not support him any longer. so in effect, I have already boycotted him a long time ago, personally. Sad that someone with such talent can't just stick to making good products and selling them to whomever wants them without trying to leverage said products to get his own personal message across.
  3. Y'know, Millia is hot and all, but I would still have a certain amount of reservation about spending time at the Y so to speak .
  4. GENTLEMEN - START YOUR ORDERS! Just follow the link below to get pricing information, and submit your order to Paul for the case of your choice. http://www.designpaulchampagne.com/Macross/macross.html Once there are enough orders (20), we can proceed with the project. We will get the numbering etc down, before they go into production, but for now, please check the link, and indicate your willingness to go ahead with the project by placing your order with Paul. Thanks for all of your interest!.
  5. Well, now that we have the SDF Designs pretty much sewn up, we can start (or continue as it were) on the Mac Plus design. So far, we had only really agreed that we would use this image for the spine.... This image was created by Tony (XSTOYS) and he very graciously resized it for us at my request.... Here it is.... As a possible side image. As a possible top image.
  6. These boxes are four sided, in other words, you will have the images as shown, the bottom will be unfinished, and the last side will be open, gotta get the DVD's in there somehow
  7. Update - Just got the second one from Paul...
  8. Nice! Recasts!!
  9. Check the images!! Paul has provided us with a mock up of Blaine23's design, and is working on Dangard Ace's design.
  10. Yeah, these have been discussed ad nauseum HERE I can't believe those things still sell. I had the Super UNPOSEABLE Max when it came out, and it was the biggest piece of crap ever.
  11. Yeah, with those mini valks there, Rohby needs to do a special edition "DR Evil" hand for the Valk.
  12. Well, to be honest, they did the same thing to Jack Ryan before Bendover Assuck ever got to demolish him in the last move. Hunt for Red October - Good Jack Ryan, kick ass Jack Ryan. Patriot Games - BADASS Jack Ryan - Best of the series IMHO. Clear and Present Danger - All of the sudden, Jack Ryan won't pick up a gun anymore? He went from busting caps on everyone in the first two films, to being this MacGuyver like pussy in C&PD? Didn't even give Sum of All Fears the time of day because it starred Bendover Assuck. OH, and getting back on Bond... I always saw Roger Moore as - Groovy 70's Bond. Face it, for being a limey, dude was just Groovy!!
  13. They seem to have re-issued or done a second run of the Wing. At first, it came out with the TG, but then they both disappeared, and for a while, the W0C figs were fetching pretty high prices on Ebay. But I think they made more of them when they started pumping out the RX-78 because I saw them for a few weeks pretty steadily, and they had some there as well when I got the Gelgoog. However, I haven't seen any of the TG III . S'OK, I wish they had done the regular TallGeese, not the III anyway.
  14. Surprised that Adrian Paul isn't on there somewhere. Dude bears a striking resemblance to a young Connery, and he has the suave and girly thing down after 6 years of Highlander.
  15. Provided we get the high res images soon, I would say a month on the outside.
  16. Here's how it will most likely go down.... I have requested high res scans of the pieces of artwork on CD or that they be uploaded to a server. Then Paul can get access to them so he can start tweaking the box designs. Dangard Ace and Blaine 23's designs will added to the page Paul created for us. He will add pre-order and payment information for the case of your choice. We should get at least 20 of the least popular design reserved in order to get the order going. The orders will be on an individual basis. That is to say that each person will be paying for the case of their choice plus shipping to themselves. This will not be a bulk order where they are all shipped to one person who then ships them to everyone else etc.
  17. Yes, the box is made of aluminum and the skins are ABS core with a brushed silver finish. See www.designpaulchampagne.com for details and examples.
  18. No, but he sure as hell hogs all of the guacamole. And it's a given that he would eat all the HAM!
  19. Doh, you guys are right, the responses do indicate choice 4. Edited the above post, and the first page (Thanks Anubis ) we will go with Mikimoto plus the SDF.
  20. EDIT - 3/3/04 - WE ARE GOING FORWARD WITH THE FOLLOWING TWO DESIGNS NOTE - THESE ARE NOT THE FINAL CASE LAYOUTS. PAUL WILL TWEAK THESE AS NEEDED TO MAKE SURE THAT THE EDGES AND CORNERS ETC DO NOT INTERFERE WITH KEY POINTS OF THE IMAGES. For the Character/Art lovers Done by Dangard Ace - Based on Haruhiko Mikimoto's work For the Mech Heads By Blaine 23 IF ANYONE CAN PROVIDE HIGH RES (300 DPI or better) SCANS OF ANY OF THE IMAGES, PLEASE PM ME.
  21. Astro Boy, Speed Racer, StarBlazers and Battle of the Planets got me into anime. Robotech was just one of a long stream of anime shows that aired once in my area in a 6:00am timeslot (perfect for kiddies getting ready for school) and were never seen again afterwards. What he said.... I was watching the aforementioned Astro Boy, Speed Racer, Starblazers, and Battle of the Planets back when I was just a wee lil laddie back in the early 70's. Robotech just happened to hit that time slot, as WDC said, that I was getting ready for school (high school btw) during, and so I watched it. But then, about a year later, I was introduced to DYRL, and about a year after that I was in the Army stationed in Japan, so, really Robotech introduced me to MACROSS, but certainly not to Anime, and it did not make me any bigger an Anime fan than I already was. And to ditto what someone previously said... Macek tries to take credit for having created things that he did not. You need look no further than one of the interviews that HG "gave" you as a special feature on one of the Macross Saga DVD boxed sets. In the interview, he basically says that the animation wasn't available in the US to "tell the story they wanted to tell", so they "got it from overseas". He went on to make it sound like they had commissioned the animation for their own original use. Again, he gets the HAMMIE.
  22. What award are they presenting him with?? I nominate him for A HAMMIE!!
  23. Oh, I see this coming already.... T'Jbang! T'Jbang! Oh baby when she moves, she moves I go crazy 'cause she Looks like a flower But she stings like a bee Like every girl in history
  24. Whoo, man, she does look like she porked out a good bit. Honestly, I never watched that show, and couldn't get my mind around her name, TOPANGA!?!??! To be honest, never having seen the show, I always assumed it had the Vulcan spelling T'Penga - makes more sense anyway.
  25. If they make one, I would like to see a DYRL version. Also, Storm Attacker is a non-issue for me, I would be happy with a really nice cruiser mode as long as the ARMD platforms could be extended etc. And it would have to be at least 1/3000 scale. No SOC teenyness!!
