  1. Nice images guys!! Keep em coming. I especially like that pic of the 19 and 21 overlayed on each other.
  2. So, Chris B has not only the cash for G-Sys 1/48 kits, but also the cash to have someone build them for him.... It's good to be the king
  3. Haven't seen the directors cut, so can't speak to that. But on the movies... Don't bother with the Re-Birth movie. Its just a recap of the series, and the first twenty minutes of the End of Evangelion movie. Not worth its price in my opinion. but you must DEFINTELY get the End of Evangelion movie. It is a much easier to understand conclusion to the series than the last two episodes on the discs. That and you get to see the Unit Five EVA's which just plain kick ass. I won't spoil anything for you but Auska's battle in that movie is hands down the best combat scene from the whole Eva series. Its worth it to see that alone. I totally agree. My recommended mode for watching Evangelion is to watch the first 24 episodes, then watch End of Evangelion. It makes SO much more sense that way despite the fact that as Bob Joe Mac said, the mechs in EoE all of the sudden appeared to be hundreds of feet tall whereas throughout the series, they weren't anywhere near that big. I really enjoyed the first 24 episodes, but the last two are like a giant run-on sentence that ultimately comes to no conclusion. And also like BJM, I never found the series to be this life-altering, zen, existentialist thing that made me access areas of my brain I never knew existed. Everyone kept telling me, "oh, man, that series is SO DEEP, it's such a MIND frakk, You have to watch it at least 3 times to get all the nuances etc. Sorry to disappoint those microcephali who thought that, because it is pretty much giant robot vs. giant monster fare until the last two episodes or EoE when everything gets trippy. So, watch 1-24, then EoE... And read these..... http://www.evamonkey.com/faq_gamesekai1.htm and these..... http://www.evamonkey.com/faq_gamesekai2.htm
  4. Not the GI Joe one, but... HERE Here's the GI Joe fig...at least this dude has quite a listing of them. It's under Library of Out of Stock Figures... http://www.goodstufftogo.net/html/body_cat...asp?opencat=233 And here's the megalomaniac himself... http://www.goodstufftogo.net/html/body_pro....asp?ItemID=852 Here's one I found on Ebay... Patton on Ebay and another... Another Patton on Ebay
  5. There's one other thing to consider here.... Eva is a good series, but the DVD's they released were awful. I think it was ADV that did them. I had the Champagne boxed set a while ago, and at least on the first DVD, every time the scene changed, the frame jumped. Either it went away by disk 2, or my eyes got used to it. I was talking to someone not too long ago who said that ADV was forced to re-issue at least one of the DVD's because of the crap quality. All in all, it is a very good series, but the quality of the DVD's is not good, it looked more like VCD to me. Of course, they have remedied that in their new re-mastered release that you can only get in Japan for about 400 bucks.
  6. Balderdash! That's the best part, and why you need to build legs onto it!. The project will only be complete when you power up the Gundam, and stand up, bursting through the house itself!! Just make sure your homeowners is up to date, and that noone is home!
  7. Phuckin A! I love the F4, always have, it is just badass looking, they aptly named that one The Phantom. They just rock.
  8. No thanks, Bandai can keep their super heavy, ultra high detail uber expensive and FREAKING MINISCULE zillion dollar SOC's. I likes em big.
  9. Hilde Hilde, come in here Hilde. What is it Dr. Heimlich? I have invented a maneuver!
  10. Can he make the holes a bit smaller on the single missiles that go in the fronts so they will stay on the goddamn tab inside the pack ? IMHO, that little tidbit screws up an otherwise perfect toy.
  11. Speaking of the Max Valk. Where the hell is it?? Says March release, well, it's over halfway through March!!
  12. To order follow this link... http://www.designpaulchampagne.com/Macross/macross.html As to the cases being made, Paul e-mailed me yesterday, and as of that point we had a grand total of 20 cases ordered. They are split evenly 10 Mikimoto - 10 Mech. He is willing to go forward wih the project out of respect for all the work that Dangard Ace and Blaine23 put into the box designs, but was really expecting more orders. Remember that initially, we needed to have at least 20 of ONE of the designs ordered before we could go forward. To be honest, given the responses to the poll and the thread, I was expecting alot more as well. I'm not sure what to think at this point, but he left it up to us to decide if we want to go ahead with the project. WE STILL NEED HIGH RES IMAGES THOUGH!. SO, IF ANYONE CAN CONTRIBUTE THEM, PLEASE PM ME, DANGARD ACE, or BLAINE 23. Again, for anyone that wants to pre-order, follow this link... http://www.designpaulchampagne.com/Macross/macross.html And Dangard Ace and Blaine 23, your cases are on me, as promised.
  13. Whoa, it even has the symbol and stuff. Funny, I didn't know that Prince (The artist) was a Valk pilot. Once he reaches ace status, he will have an all purple valk with a little collar ruffle when it transforms to battroid mode.
  14. And to you other kids all across the land. There's no need to argue. Parents just don't understand!
  15. Melissa No, what he said is correct. You just have to pay attention to exactly what he said.... The items he mentioned are primarily designed to kill others
  16. I do. I think of it as a collectible since no toy of similar size (i.e. a child's plaything) should cost this much money. These are clearly aimed at adults and perhaps teens. I don't consider it any different than any of the other collectibles that people have. A plate, doll, picture, figurine, etc. is of no more practical use than a valkyrie. Ya, I left that out of my post. Sorry, but my collection is largely PG Gundams, 1/48 Valks, and Vintage Gundam Mushas. Of those, IMHO, only the Mushas can really be called "toys". And yeah, who buys a hundred plus dollar toy for their kid to bang around?
  17. Thanks D00Ds for ordering.... Much appreciation, hopefully we are nearing the cutoff point. I will check with Paul if he has not e-mailed me already. Once again....
  18. Or worse... Sports memorabilia as far as the eye can see. Sorry, but having some dude's nasty autographed jockstrap that he wore in Super Bowl XXWHOGIVESAFXXX means nothing to me. There's also something homoerotic about guys that fill their family rooms with pictures of other guys in tight uniforms, and then go out and buy 90 dollar jerseys with some other dude's name on the back. I mean, damn, if you are going to hand over 90 bucks, let the homoeroticism work for you, and catch a hummer from said sports celebrity. I don't try to explain off my toy collection, because most of the people that see it either go "Man, those are cool!", or they reveal their own supressed dorkdom, by saying..."Hey, isn't that Jetfire?".
  19. That's why we have my organization... Valkaholics Anonymous It's OK to be a Valkaholic, don't let anyone tell you different!
  20. Mechamaniac

    Britai attacks!

Hey, where can I get a Seagal doll?? Except I want mine to come with interchangeable bellies so I can do young skinny Stephen or Old Fatass Girdle Stephen.
  21. Well, nothing is set in stone yet, the project is not dead... But we need at least 15 - 20 more orders to keep it going.
  22. Well it would seem that people who voted weren't that serious after all. Paul has only received 12 orders for a total of 15 cases (3 people wanted both). Models are split 7 to 8. We needed to get at least 20 of ONE of the designs ordered in order for the project to continue. It looks as though there were several interested parties that weren't really interested when it came down to it. It would be a shame if the hard work of everyone who contributed to this project amounted to nothing. So, I guess at this point, I am open for suggestions. How can we have over 10,000 views on this topic, and only 12 seriious members? Yay Macross World

  24. Whoa, I didn't even know you were married, kewl!. Well, enjoy sleep while you can, it will become a commodity more precious than a whole air wing of 1/48's in a very short period of time. Hope the little dude,or dudette is happy and healthy, and packing 10 and 10!
  25. I'd rather have a DYRL hand that could hold the gun to be honest.
