Stand for me, no crappy VF-0S.

Yeah, harmonics, and not a bad use of them either I must say. But I think he should have practiced more before recording that, and releasing it over the net, dude makes a bunch of mistakes in there.

Reminds me of the line from Dune... The slow blade penetrates the shield... LOL - You beat me to it! And if you had fought one whit below your abilities, I would have given you a nice scar to remind you!! Of course, the problem with this is that for knives and arrows it may work well, until the criminal reads that article, and realizes that all they have to do is push slower. And if it is a bullet, then that force has to go somewhere. With a kevlar vest that's 1/2 inch thick, the vest takes some of the shock and spreads it out, but it's still like being kicked by a mule. Imagine a flannel shirt treated with that stuff, the bullet may not penetrate, but it would probably still be the equivalent of being hit by a truck.

New Aliens Vs. Predator featurette

The problem with that being is that AvP has been a franchise in comics/video games/etc. for YEARS now, going back as far as a decade for the original comic crossover. Long before any of the other X vs X that you so rightly slag. Yeah, I know the premise has been around for some time, but that doesn't make it any less lame. -
Children's entertainment... Yesterday and Today

Let's not forget the A Team! Every episode they would have a little montage where they modified their Semi-Auto Mini 14's to fire full auto, why?. How the hell should I know?, they fired hundreds, thousands of rounds on that show, and never hit a goddamn thing!! -

it's primordial man, it's how the male of the species is wired. And thanks for the GG Liddy comment, I take that as a compliment! Felony convictions aside, the G Man is one of my favs. -

Dude, I hate to point it out, but Hef probably bagged more chicks BEFORE he NEEDED Viagra, than most of us will ever hit in our lifetimes. As to the topic at hand, I agree with everything that was said. I think it's funny that they are trying and crying to prove that the world would be such a better place if we all just got along and played nice. Hate to break it to you hippies, but humans are merely the most advanced ANIMALS on the planet, notice that I did not say the most intelligent or even the most evolved. At our cores, we are still animals, which means that we look out for number 1, shun the weak and the old, covet what we want but do not have, and ultimately fight and kill to obtain the things we want but don't have. We are little more than neo-paleolithic hunter gatherers my friends, accept it. Yes, we are amongst the most intelligent species on the planet, and society for what it is worth has instilled in most of us some rules of basic "right and wrong" and compassion for others etc. That is why we have evolved to the point where we actually do care about the children that are starving half way around the world, but in all honesty, how many of us DO anything about it other than feel guilty for ten seconds while the commercial is on, or talk about it in polite social conversation, shaking our heads while we wear clothes and jewelry and drive cars and spend more on one night's meal than people in underdeveloped nations earn in an entire year. I'm not weeping for those urchins, I am merely trying to point out that we are all basically looking out for number 1 which is ourselves, and our own brood. Which is why I think it is funny to watch them try to regulate toy guns out of existence. Go ahead, take away all the toy guns, and then watch and marvel at your young son who runs out in the yard, and finds the first bent up fallen tree branch. Watch as he wraps his mind around how much a certain part of it resembles some part of a weapon, and I guarantee you that within minutes, he will be running around the yard, slashing it as if it were a sword, or making rat - a - tat sounds with his newfound machine gun. Again, this illustrates the point that I'm trying to make which is that we are (especially the males) VIOLENT at our cores. So the trend of dumbing down cartoons, and showing that we can all just compromise is really going to lead our children into believing that the world is a warm, fuzzy, happy place and that no matter how bad it gets, they can all just join hands and sing a song, and it will be OK. Wake up, and smell the patchouli, it reeks, and it is covering up a growing stench that soon will not be able to be covered anymore. -

First off, the arctic setting makes me think they're ripping off Carpenter's The Thing. "Take non combatant scientist types, and stick them in an isolated environment, OK, now fold in alien badguys." = horror ensues. I also hate when they start folding pseudo relationships in. "Yeah, this dude's name is Weyland, and..and...yeaahhh, he's the dude that invented robotics, and....and.....yeaaahhhh, he made the robots look like him.....and oh yeahh, he's one half of Weyland - Yutani corp. If they went to all that trouble to fold in the Aliens continuity, then is Weyland also Dutch Schaeffer's long lost brother???? Yeahhh. Second - Feh, the premise of this movie is gayer than gay. Where do you draw the line in the X vs X genre? Why not start doing Star Trek VS Star Wars, or NSync vs The Backdoor Boys etc etc ad nauseum. Bottom line, I am convinced that you could sell Hollywood the premise of "My Bowels vs a Taco Bell Grande Meal" and they would dump millions into high tech special effects of how an order of nachos is mysteriously converted to a fart. -

Payment sent Rob. Thanks for taking care of this for all of us.

Yeah, had one land on my ass while firing prone next to some wierdo left hander. Almost let it ruin my concentration, but I still qualified Expert.
-
Yeah, like Chris B, I'm just waiting for PM so I can send cash too.
-
PM'd you, don't want to derail this thread any further than I already have
-
Yeah, those are cool and all, but if they are anywhere near $124 USD it's highway freaking robbery.
-
Jeebus, as much mileage as this thread has gotten, you'd figure Cosplay Tron would be a little thinner by now.
-
Dude, I hope you meant PEEKING.
-
Yup, like the old AC-130 Spectre AKA Puff the Magic Dragon. Back in the Viet Nam era, the spent shell casings would collect onto the floor of the aircraft, and since it was a C-130, when they were done with the mission, the crew would open the ramp, and push broom the spent shells right off the ramp in flight. Now, one or two shells is bad enough, but can you imagine a virtual shower of shells ranging from 7.62MM, 20 & 25MM, 40MM Grenades, and 105MM Howitzer shells falling on you??
-
I voted no, not really a Magnus fan, and it really would be just a repaint, unless the trailer was included that became the gay ass armor that wrapped around him.

Where Kevin?, I don't see them?

The gundam parts are exactly like canopy plastic, not VERY brittle, but definitely not too flexy.

Funny, that's the reason I never got hired by a full time PD after I got out of the Army. Apparently, I am not minority enough either, and I don't squat down to pee. Gotta love affirmative action!!! By the time they offered me the academy, I was making more than the starting pay, and had a kid on the way, so I decided that was probably not the best time to enter into a somewhat dangerous career (Baltimore City) and work crap hours, my wife would have killed me. -

OK, P7M13. The P7 Series are designated by their mag capacity, so the P7M8 is a 9MM 8 rd capacity, the P7M7 is a .45 7 rd capacity, P7M10, 40Cal - 10rd capacity, and yours, which is a 9MM 13 rd capacity. This the one? That's a seriously nice piece, and well worth the bucks whatever they may be. -

ooh, a squeeze cocker, those ROCK! What model P7? P7M8 P7M10 P7M13 ?? I used to tell everyone that if you had to have only ONE pistol, the P7 series was the way to go. Of course, you could only have one because they were a grand apiece. High price to pay for all that technology, but man are they cool. -
I think the 1/48 is probably one of Yamato's biggest, if not their biggest ticket item. From what I can glean from their website, they seem to make mostly smaller, cheaper figures etc. I really doubt that Yamato will abandon their biggest cash cow toy line at this state. I think it's pretty safe to say that the Macross toys are what really put Yamato on the map, so I'd be surprised if they stop now.
