What weapon is that PG Titans MKII holding?
-
Is that a Seed Gundam in Titans colors?
-
Actually, I think that is really, really cool! A very cool little homage to Minmay, Mikimoto, and Macross in general. All you need is one of those Yamato 1/1 helmets painted like Roy's from the TV series on your table, and you're set!.

People... people... ALF?? SLEDGEHAMMER?? Jeebus, just because they are releasing every crap ass show from the 80's on DVD, doesn't mean we have to buy them!!
-
Fighter mode looks like ASS. Nice sag in the middle. Glad I passed on these POS.

Dude, unless YOU made any of the kits you linked to, then STFU, and stop bashing someone else for showing off their enthusiasm about a kit they are building. If you don't like the way his kit looks, then here's a thought.... don't watch this thread! . Wow, an epiphany!. Next thing you know you'll be posting "Ugly baby" in the occasional birth announcement threads.

I think Basara and Mylenes connection requires similar good karma. I have set mine up so many times I have lost count...yet within hours they fall. Luckily, no dog chewing yet. My Basara and Mylene pretty much stay together, miraculously. I get the pose, that back to back ROCK ON kind of pose, but they never did that in the series, so WTF?

Well, Yamato finally updated their page...price is slightly higher according to them... http://www.yamato-toys.com/items/detail.php?gid=341 15,540 = $140.18 14,800 = $133.51 Why Yamato lists two prices, IUNNO???

I cut the foot pegs off of Sara, and glued her to the base. I also glued Mao to the base as well, Mao is supposed to hook her foot under the rock to Sara's left side. It does work, and as long as the stars are in perfect alignment, and the moon is full, and there is absolutely no wind at all, Mao will stay there. However, my Mao kept taking nose dives, so I finally glued her little ass down. The Mao and Sara figures have to be the lamest of all the CM figures so far. I would like to get Ishtar, but since she's in a similarly assed up pose, I will pass.

Check the Champagne Art Box Thread... pages 42 - 45 or so. TheLoneWolf has the R2 Macross Plus DVD set, and has posted some scans of the artwork in that thread.

Well, they do if their right mind is thinking about gouging the fans!.

Section III: Never Allowed #1. No religious or political debates. If you want to talk politics go to the proper outside forum. Not everyone shares your beliefs. Nothing starts more arguments then these kinds of debates. They have value but they have no value here. -

Well, I have it in my grubby little hands now! I didn't know that it comes with a free ticket to see AVP. I might have to check it out after all. The box is sweet, slipcase with a trifold inside, enviro pack style, but with all the principle characters on each of the trifolds along with some of their nicer quotes... Dutch - If it bleeds, we can kill it, and stick around. Dylan & Blaine - That's a real nasty habit you got there. Payback time, and I aint got time to bleed. The predator - You're one ugly motherf**ker! And underneath the main DVD, "makes Cambodia look like Kansas". NICE! - and Suncoast has it for $19.99 today. -
So, who's getting this one?. The same version the lucky limeys have been able to get for years in the UK, now released here.... I'm going to get my copy in exactly 22 minutes, when I get off work... Anyone else plan on getting this?. Also, I thought it strange that this was originally slated for a mid july release then pushed back until 8/10, until I saw the commercials for AVP last night which starts this Friday. A little clever ploy to get people in the Predator mindset before the movie. Although, given AVP's startling lack of Ahnult, I will pass on it.

Mmmmm, Battlestar Galactica.....

Wow, interesting that HLJ has it, but Yamato's site doesn't. That's alot better price than I expected it to be. Like most, I figured it would be at least as much as a 1/48 J with Packs.

I think if you're collecting stuff to resell it later on, then IMHO, you're collecting for the wrong reason. I started off with that philosophy, then realized that a toy that remains encased in it's cardboard prison is not doing me any good, so now I free them, and let them collect dust, and fingerprints etc. I still keep some of the boxes only because they make for easy storage and transportation etc, but I don't intend on ever selling off my toys at a later date to make a profit. Like MicroD, I will keep my valks until I either keel over dead, or lose interest, and hopefully by that time my kids will be interested, and I can pass them on to them and maintain visitation rights.

I'm 33, and fall pretty much into the same category as Dejr8bud. My collection these days consists of only the best quality stuff, PG Gundams, and 1/48 Valks and DVD's. I was never really a completist, but age and other responsibilities have made it easier for me to focus only on the things I really want. I won't buy everything out there just because it sports the Macross logo. On the flip side, about 12 years ago, when I got home from Japan, and had amassed a pretty nice collection while living there, I sold off all of my stuff to pay for something more secular, a car!. Years later, I regretted having done so, but alot of those toys would have been ground under the heel of "something more accurate has been released" by now anyway. The only thing I wish I had kept had been my original Ride Armor toy in the box.

Any plans to kick this up a notch to 1/48?

Garoquel is the artist (and MW Member) that was commissioned by Animeigo to make the current DVD covers on the Animeigo set. He actually made at least two variations, of which one was spectacular, there was a pic of it floating around here somewhere... However, Animeigo decided to go with the black lineart with contrasting rainbow colors variants. Much too bland in the opinions of many of us. I have only briefly discussed it with him, and found out that he was A. Able to do it legally, and B. Willing to do it for us. I assume that it would more than likely be a case of us being able to download the high res images from a web site, and then printing them ourselves. I'm not sure if he has the ability to print them, or if he would if someone did not have a printer of good quality. Not sure yet, he said he has an example that he will post for us to check out. Hope this helps!

Relax Neil and Duane, I can print em for you, my printer is the shiggity.

IIRC, they did actually complete 12 or so episodes or at least scripts of F91, but then condensed it into a movie. http://www.mahq.net/animation/gundam/f91.htm That is why one of the main problems with F91 is that it feels so rushed. Case in point, in the first 15 minutes of the film, Seabrook gets shot, and then 20 minutes later in the film, someone is telling him that his arm should be done healing by now. In the film, you get the sense that only a day or so has gone by, though I'm sure in the episodic format, it was several episodes later. It would be very interesting if F91 came with the OVA, I don't think it has ever been seen before. If Bandai found it somewhere, and is restoring it, then bravo!.

More than likely, you will be downloading the images from Garoquel's secure server once they are completed. You can then print them on any paper you want. It will probably work very similarly to DVDCoverart.com.

Garoquel has artwork already that he can use, so it should be alot less drawn out than the Champagne boxes were. He will be posting us a teaser pic soon.
