Not to increase the demand on Fulcy or anything since he's having such a time getting the brass tubing, but I have to say that I got my two sets yesterday, and they are AWESOME!. Very little touching up is needed, just basically snip em off the sprue, touch up the sprue points, and trim down the pegs so they are the correct length to work with the screws in Rohby's head recasts, and you're ready to go. Great work!, and cheap at twice the price. I can't wait to get mine finished and painted, they're gonna look great!.

I am an unabashed JM hater. I can't stand anything cutesy, and SD in nature... But....that looks really cool. It's not gonna convert me to a JM lover or anything, but the decals are sharp!.

Hmmm, got a little pre-shading going on eh?

Coathangers....is there anything they can't do?

Yes, please tell us how you got your Valk mounted like that. That will be all the reason I need to go ahead, and get the Yammie stand!

And that's odd too, because everyone in this area (MD, DC, VA) knows that if you want real, gangland violence, go to Prince George's County MD, or Southeast DC. It's like the old west down there. The thugs in Baltimore pale in comparison.

Noone can stand Caruso. Even in the trailer spots they air for the show where the whole cast is standing there, he still has that smug, arrogant look on his face. It's sort of like he's thinking....."Yeah, look at me now. Sure, I thought I was king of the airwaves and left NYPD Blue high and dry sending my career into a 7 year lap around the toilet bowl, but now I'm back, and smug as ever." Let's just hope they don't show his ass on CSI.

Hey, they film The Wire in the building where TheLoneWolf, and I work. Whenever you see the FBI Field Office, that's a giant unused office space across from our cafeteria on the 6th floor. One day, I came out from lunch, and they had the door propped open, and there was this big ass FBI seal hanging on the wall. Our building has also been a courthouse, and a couple of other locations as well. Several people here have seen and met the stars of The Wire running around our areas from time to time. And they are constantly surrounding our building with trailers etc when they are shooting. It's neat to see all that stuff going on. Come to think of it, HBO is doing ALOT if filming in Baltimore. Last year, I came out in the middle of summer, and there is a historic hotel across the street from our building. They had the sidewalk in front of the street covered with blown in snow, fake snowbanks, and 1970's cars. Not sure what the movie was, but I know it was HBO. And just last week, two of the guys from my section saw Christopher Plummer on another set just down the street. As to the rest of the HBO shows.... The Sopranos - Get it over with already. I've heard all the pseudo italian I want to, and they have fleshed the characters out ad nauseum. Let's just wrap it all up now, and see who gets whacked. Six Feet Under - Or as I like to joke with my wife Gay Sex Weekly - Look, I have nothing against alternate lifestylers, but I swear every chance this show gets to show two guys swapping spit they take it and RUN. Now, the flipside is that there aren't many attractive women on the show, so they are probably only working with what they have but still. If I wanted to watch graphic gay sex, I would watch Queer as Folk. That gripe out of the way, I really cannot stand more than one character on that show, the rest of them are just a bunch of whiny, self absorbed pricks and prickettes, and I really only watch it to see when one of them will wind up on the slab. (oh, and because my wife watches the show, so by proxy, so must I). Carnivale - Like Blaine said...huh? Curb your Enthusiasm - Can't stand it, I liked Seinfeld, but I think Larry David really should have stayed behind a desk. I know it's supposed to be a comedy about how people really are etc etc, but his character is such a complete asswipe, that I can't even stand to hear the theme song. Sex and the City - THANK GOD IT'S OVER! Now I don't have to suffer through it while my wife watches (we only have one TV can you tell? ). WHY, OH WHY did Kim Cattral wait until she was an old hag to start getting naked, and talking dirty?. Kim - the time for you to have done that was back in the Mannequin days, NOT NOW! Anyway, that's my mini HBO rant.

Nice makeover on those pistols Chowser! I've been thinking of having that done to my Smith & Wesson PPC revolver since the bluing is wearing off after many years. But I don't know if they can strip bluing, and plate on a satin finish without dicking up the tolerances on the surface. -

Hikaru and Minmay were stuck for what three weeks, should have been plenty of meat to go around, and it would have been frozen at that. What's my point? Only the Japan would they catch a fish that big, and only make nasty ass soup using the head... Sorry, not meant to be a racial slur if some took it that way, but with a tuna that big, I for one would be looking for some sesame seeds and a nice open flame. -
Make sure you stick your pinky in the corner of your mouth when you say that.....

Hmmm, any pics of the controller anywhere? Don't know how that would work if it's a joystick style. Most of us play our console games on our TV's, and unless you have something to put the joystick on other than the floor, it could be pretty ungainly.

So, that's supposed to be Earth after massive Meteor strikes correct?

Dayum, she did a nice job on Mylene. Especially the guitar.

The Millia costume looks great, but the chick looks more like Mira Furlan than Millia. Still, nice costume though, it's good (and rare) to see a costume that someone actually put some work into. Here are a few I found from Otakon 04... (big doofy looking Hikaru, and not bad looking Minmay)

That was partially me getting suckered in by the storyline... IMHO, AC4 has a very Anime story line, and the character art didn't help either. So, after Siege of Farbanti, I knew that I had splashed all the Yellows, and none of them were any real problem, so I was surprised to see the little movie with the narrator and the bartender's daugher burying Yellow 4's scarf etc. I honestly thought that when I got to Megalith, at the end, Yellow 13 would come tear assing into the skies, and I would have to fight him to end the game. I really thought it was a Gamlin sort of thing at the end of Mac 7. I guess I should have taken the fact that after Siege of Farbanti I had not only the SU-37, but the SU-37A as options as a hint that I had killed some very high ranking Yellows. I also figured that either way, once I had to face Yellow 13, there would have been some audio clips from him, talking smack to me since at that point in the game, it's pretty obvious that Mobius 1 is becoming a legend, and obviously, Yellow 13 is the man on the Erusian side. Ah well, I have Siege of Farbanti saved, so I can go back and look for him this time.

For me it was TANGO LINE. Mission pissed me off to no end. The only amusing part was the one time I flew THROUGH a Harrier that was descending into a hole in the ground. However, once I got past it, the rest of the game was pretty much a cake walk. Still PISSED however, that you paste Yellow 13 without ever realizing it. Here I was waiting for this one on one climactic dogfight from hell, only to find that I had already wasted him without realizing it.

Whoo, finally got past that stinking ground mission that made me lose interest in AC4, and beat the game within two days. NOW, I'm ready for AC5

Looks like it really wants to be a Walther P99, while also looking like the next step in the CZ series evolution. I love those copycat designs. The third world is always so good at pulling them off. -
Top Gun, Maverick's F-14 squadron
Mechamaniac replied to wolframbane's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Because it's a movie about the military, and IIRC, there is some government regulation that says that whenever an actor is shown in a Military uniform, there has to be something out of place, or something that doesn't quite belong. With dress uniforms, they usually pull this off by inserting a different service's ribbons or medals etc, or service stripes etc in the wrong locations. With the Top Gun flight suits, they probably just grabbed random patches, and sewed them on. Bottom line, only a real aficionado, someone who was in, or had been in the Military would be able to spot the inconsistencies, and also not be offended by an actor wearing the uniform who did not earn the right to do so. -
Is that image in higher resolution on that site? That is total desktop fodder. EDIT - Nope, same size....
