  1. OK, so...by your own words+, we know the following.... Shawn has been waiting wanted to see them. You have a direct connection to Shawn since you phoned him about the incident. So, why then, could you not have e-mailed them to him personally, or uploaded them to a webspace, and linked him to them privately? Yes, most of us are adults around here, but I have personally met the children of Macross world members and know that they are keenly interested in this site as well, so this is indeed a family forum. Let's face it, if Lil Johnny is sitting in front of the PC when MWMember Daddy is away, and he sees a post saying WARNING - CUTIE NUDIES INSIDE!. What is he going to do? What would you have done at that age?....hell, what did we all do at that age?
  2. Two more days until we figure out how they (can't possibly) wrap up all the story lines in one 35 minute episode! EDIT - Although it will be nice to finally be able to get the whole series on DVD. It won't be long I'm sure, before the leggers have all five eps subbed and on one DVD. I have been refraining from getting the individual eps for just that reason. Or, until Bandai (Big West) recognizes their English speaking fans, and at least puts subs on the R2 DVD's.
  3. Yeah, the PG Zaku's are nice kits. As nice as any of the other PG's. BUT - I think the PG Zaku was the first PG so all the instructions, even the screw identifications etc are in Kanji. The newer PG's are all A B C, etc, but the Zaku can be fun trying to decipher which screws are which. And the wiring and battery box design for the head lamp are hokey as hell, so either plan on re-wiring them, or just leaving them out. Other than that, I love my PG Zaku.
  4. In sharp contrast to Blaine23's good experience with Dell, my company purchased 3500 Dell Laptops a few years ago, and we had a miserable time with them. The LCD's started failing at an alarming rate almost immediately. Those of us who were stuck supporting them knew there had to be a defect, but Dell never admitted it until two years later. At that point, our failure rate was OVER 65% across the board. This ran the gamut from machines used out in the field, to machines that never left a desktop. We found out (ironically, when Dell was courting our parent company for a big contract) that there was indeed a manufacturing defect that effected all of the Dell Latitude, and Inspiron laptops manufactured during a certain time frame, and ours was one of them. Then Dell tried to blame our repair facility for costing THEM money. They said that the problem was caused by a faulty LCD cable, and therefore, all that should have been replaced was the faulty LCD cable. However, when our depot reported the problems to Dell, Dell sent them an entire LCD kit which they claimed cost them over $600.00 per incident. They told us that if we suspected the cable, then WE should have told THEM and saved them money. So, in short, WE should have detected, and reported THEIR DEFECT to them. Right... What was their solution? - trade in these turds for NEW Dell laptops, of course!. Sure, why not?, the ones they sold us were crap, so let's replace them with new crap. Now we have IBM's, and the difference is night and day. So, like Blaine said, for the end user (IE: not computer savvy) they are OK. But if you are technically challenged, or hard on computer equipment, DONT BUY DELL. Obviously, if you know enough not to buy pre-made crap anyway then you wouldn't touch one with a ten foot pole.
  5. That would have been Jerry Tsai of VF1X.com. Unfortunately, Jerry closed his site, but some of the pics of his Valks can be found here.... http://www.menet.umn.edu/~ngo/jtsai_collection_1.html Another one that is almost as impressive (though not as many duplicates) is Gerry from Robozone.com.
  6. Yeah, I'll agree with that. I never thought Rush was worth a crap, and he proved it beyond the shadow of doubt when he revealed himself to be a worthless druggie. IMHO, if you're going to be one of those "I am always right" types of public figures, then you had better damn well crap sunshine or someone is eventually going to come along, and reveal what a loser you really are. The thing that pissed me off about Moore was the way he ridiculed 80 year old Chuck Heston who has Alzheimer's. Way to go Mike, let's go pick on 80 year old guy and laugh when we ask him questions he's not prepared for and make him look like a fool. At least Chuck made it to 80, which is a milestone I doubt that pus gut Moore will ever reach. Actually, I still think Mimes are much gayer than puppets.
  7. Repeat after me - 27 Centimeters, not inches... OK, sorry. Well, at 11 INCHES, it should have more than some cheesy rotating rotor, and retractable landing gear.
  8. Sorry but at 27" with today's technology, it better do a damn sight more than just rotate the blades and have retractable gear to warrant $129.00. And unless K.I.T.T. comes complete with the condescending homo voice, it's not worth crap either.
  9. Yeah, Brian is probably 5 inches tall, and Peter is quite a bit larger than Brian so that should give you some reference.
  10. Source: AP Article Cool, well, I stand corrected on Parker and Stone then. They are back in my good graces as is anyone who hates Micheal Moore, and would like to see his fat greasy ass spontaneously combust. But, like MYK said, we are nearing the danger zone, so why not pick apart my other comment instead? Y'know, the one where I said that the Thunderbirds were the gayest thing ever, so why redo them?
  11. Alpha, do you have high res versions of those images??? Paul is working on mock ups for us, but needs as high res as you can give him.
  12. Are they really commies!? I mean did they say that? I know MM is. Personally I feel that a Comunist is worse than a Nazi or a Satanist. Pinko Commie? I wasn't aware the world still used this phrase after the '50's. And really... I wasn't even aware communism was still such a threat. Thanks for the update from the cold war! Sorry, without turning this even more into a political thread. Pinko Commie is the term I use to describe liberals. Close minded? - Yes, but, hey, it works for me.
  13. Personally I don't see the appeal. Yeah, Parker and Stone "poke fun at everybody" but at their core, they are basically pinko commies like their fat greasy loser buddy Michael Moore. Plus, I always throught the Thunderbirds (the original marionette show) was gay as gay could be, so why re-create it?
  14. I love that Chris comes with the Evil Monkey. I wouldn't ordinarily pick up Chris as he's my least favorite character on the show, but the Evil Monkey rocks! Also, I think ToyWiz is nuts, they are already proclaiming Lois and Chris as RARE< and ganking them for nearly 10 times the MSRP. Incidentally, Neil (TheLoneWolf) picked up Brian for $10.99, which is the MSRP.
  15. So not too long ago, I was excited to see this link.... http://www.action-figure.com/Article11005.html But judging from the pics, they were not too far along, and didn't even show prototypes of Lois, and Chris or PJ Stewie yet. However, TheLoneWolf came into work today (yeah, we work together) and had Brian!. Now, Mezco shows them all on their site... http://www.mezcotoyz.com/products.asp?pline=fg And see here for upcoming Series 2 from next year! http://shop.store.yahoo.com/dragonballzcen.../familyguy.html
  16. Not only that, but the Takatoku Valks actually had TAKATOKU molded into the plastic on the inside of the back plate.
  17. LOL, that makes me think of the computer programmer guy in Otaku No Video who swears he's not an Otaku, then at the end of the interview, he whips out a full sized Char Aznable helmet, and pops it on his head, and starts quoting Char. Funny.
  18. OK guys, got a message from Paul Champagne tonight. He's back from vacation, and hopes to have a mock up (or two hopefully) for us in a few days.
  19. That truly sucks. I firmly believed...like many I'm sure... that he would walk again one day. I never had a doubt in my mind. It sucks that time caught up with him before he kicked fate's ass.
  20. *GASP* Chris Barretta is alive?! Yes, he is alive. Myself, and Valkyrietestpilot had a nice long chat with him in the Dealer's Room at Otakon 2K4 in July/August. We told him that his casts were sorely missed, and that there might be some market for 1/48 upgrade parts, he was intrigued. Great guy, and an awesome modeller. I hope he comes back and starts making valkyrie parts again, that would be sweet!.
  21. Dude, seriously...you gotta stop! - I'm on cool ass case overload, I want them all now!
  22. Good, now let's hope they see their way towards making some two seaters!.
  23. Paul's been on vacation, and will be back later next week or so. AlphaHX, those designs ROCK!!! I asked Paul for an update, and he said he actually prefers one of the newer mock ups to the stuff we had originally sent. I like the black background, and the composites Alpha HX is doing are sweet!!
  24. Might be old news, but the article is a very interesting read nonetheless. I never knew that the guy that wrote the story was basing it off of his experiences in WWII. Big Red One Makeover
