  1. That depends on you. The way I see it, there's MW prices (which is essentially friend prices), and Rest of the World prices (IE: eBay prices). I picked one up a couple of weeks ago from a member here for $275 shipped.
  2. Yes. This is what rapid prototyping traditionally has been used for. Design a part, and instead of having to have said part made in a traditional, lengthy and often outsourced process, you have it printed on a 3D printer. If the part is good, then you can mold it etc, or go on to have it manufactured. So, yes, you could mold and recast the part. As with any part, it will be as strong as the medium it is cast in.
  3. It comes molded in three different colors. Gray, Blue, Beige and Clear. For the most part you do not need cement as it is a toy and is held together with screws. However, that being said, most people who have bought the kit have received kits with missing screws (myself included). So, I had to glue mine in a few instances where I was either missing a screw or in an area where I knew I wouldn't need to get at it again. If you're buying the kit to save a few bucks on the completed toy....DON'T! It requires extensive assembly. If you're familiar with PG Gundam kits then this won't be a surprise to you, but you will have to apply decals to the ARMD platforms etc. Also, the level of fine surface details on the kit is ASTONISHING. So, if you get one, and build it up without at least panel lining it, you've committed a crime against the kit. That being said, all I did was do some oil and acrylic washes on mine, and apply the decals and I think it looks great. So, in short, if you think you can buy the kit and save a few bucks buy building it yourself, don't do it. If you want to build it up and detail the hell out of it, or just panel line it etc., it's all for you.
  4. Nice! What size and kind of marker did you use?
  5. That does appear to be a bundle. Has anyone ordered from this place before? Are they legit? When do they take your preorder dough?
  6. Just transformed mine to GERWALK mode and WOW am I impressed. I have to say so far, my biggest gripe is the odd orange color of the SMS logo on the stand. S'ok though, that gives me a quickie weekend project in the spring. A little creative masking and a couple of shots of some nice YELLOW paint, and voila!
  7. Got mine today. Trying to build up the confidence to take it out of fighter mode, but it's just so preeeety. First impressions.....this thing is BADASS. However, ole girl needs some panel lining to be truly awesome.
  8. Pretty sure this has been brought up before, but the problem with using grown parts from Shapeways etc is that they are nowhere near as durable as even the shoddy Yamato plastic. So, yes, it can be done, and for add on parts as NMB4M mentioned, it's great. But for something like a faulty shoulder joint, it would be worthless.
  9. Like others have said, if you want a VT-1, you have no choice. I don't care about mine since it's never been transformed beyond putting the legs down for half GERWALK mode. Just get one, and replace the pins, and you're good to go.
  10. Yep, I waited something like 6 weeks for my Fujimi Spinner kit. I sprung for EMS shipping with the Ozma.
  11. That doesn't bode well for the Web Exclusive VF-4...
  12. Got my pound of flesh request from HLJ. It was hard getting a pound of flesh into my computer...but I managed...
  13. TS-42 is a light gunmetal.
  14. I'm cool with it. I'd rather have a gunpod that looks like a gunpod, not a grape. If the gunpod was purple, mine would find itself in front of a can of Tamiya TS-42 post haste.
  15. Well, it is 2AM in Japan. So, I'm inclined to cut them a little slack
  16. Graham, does the S come with a stand like the Alto renewal version did?
  17. It's actually the Mod icon that got changed. We're testing. If that's distracting then I guess you guys wouldn't want us to change them all eh?
  18. Are these going to be made available to the common (un-talented) man?
  19. Awww FRAK. Goodbye money! I don't care for the standard VF-25 armor packs. That one is badass!
  20. Yamato is indeed a family restaurant. One where you find a thumbnail in your soup but it doesn't matter because the bowl is cracked and the spoon disintegrates as soon as it touches hot liquid.
  21. Any updates on this? I haven't been over there in days since it appeared that the backup site got hacked as well.
  22. Must not miss out on Ozma this time....
  23. Considering the board message that comes up now, I'd say something fishy is going on.
  24. Alright you frakkers. Stop posting Gundam videos. Post that sheiße over at Gundamworld.com.
  25. I'm clearly missing something here....
