Z Gundam DVD Set Myth or reality
Mechamaniac replied to Otaku-Smeghead's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
No, I am just wondering after reading the gripes if there is anything else that was ganked out of the us release. The songs or lack thereof don't bother me since I can download them, and I've never heard them before anyway. What I am more concerned about is that they rushed this release out like they did F91, with little to no extras or substance etc. -

So, is there a rundown just yet on what the Zeta set DOES have?. Original Japanese audio? Subbed? Dubbed? Special Features? Dolby Digital? I've never seen Zeta, and after all this, I am really considering cancelling my order, and just downloading it somewhere. -

It may not be their fault. It sounds like they couldn't license the music.. I don't see how that could be. With anime series, many times the artists who perform the music are absolute nobodies before they have a hit anime opening theme. In just as many circumstances, the music is actually created and commisioned by the production company, and they just hire a body to sing it. I am inclined to believe that Bandai does not have ANY problems when it comes to obtaining rights for a song that they very likely owned from jump. More than likely, this is just part of the "dumbing down" process that always seems to happen in one form or another with domestic anime releases. -
Ummm, how can those be of "All Time"? Most of them were made within the last 10 years? That must have been something voted on by the teenyboppers that make up most of Newtype's base.

Well, jeez, why didn't you just do that in the first place.... Thanks!! BTW, I was thinking of a variation on the Skull Squad wallpapers you posted before... How about replacing the colored stripe behind them with a black line that tapers on the left side like the line on the fuselage, and between the character and their skull logo, put their valk number?
-
That M&M YF-22 wall is nice!. I wish it showed all of Millia's valk though

Feel free to PM me your insight I'd love to read it.... And (unfortuantely for me)Motley Crue is going out on tour... Damageplan was supposed to do a show for Toy for Tots this Friday morning at the House of Blues in Chicago with Kenny Wayne Shepperd and Saliva. The show is still going on though. Dude, let it go. You're starting to look desperate to pick a fight that I am not going to engage in.

LOL, reminds me of what Denis Leary said... "Stevie Ray Vaughan's dead, and we can't get Jon Bon Jovi in a helicopter!"

Edit - not worth my time.

F,uck you stupid a-hole Sorry, but the last I remember, the dude was a proudly open drug user, and I have little to no sympathy for known drug users. I regret that he went out the way he did, and I hope he did not leave a wife and any children behind either. This definitely is a first in the rock and roll world. It's old news in the Crap and Hip Hop genre, but totally unexpected. According to the MTV article. the club had no metal detectors. And isn't it ironic that these nutcases always pick the lamest reasons?. Apparently, the dude jumped onstage, screamed something about Pantera breaking up, and capped DD several times. Sort of like that idiot that shot John Lennon, supposedly becase he scribbled an autograph for him earlier in the day. Freaking lunatics, and at least the nutbar got shot shortly afterward, so there is some justice in the world.

I thought Zeta was supposed to have some enviro pack thing rather than individual cases? -
Sucks that he went out the way he did, but in the big scheme of things, he's just another dead pothead. Tragedy? or Progress?

Well, the Zeta box set was $179.98, and the Got Anime membership knocks off 10% which is a whopping $18 bucks. So, even with the got anime discount, it would still be $160.00 before shipping vs $126.00 shipped from DDDVD Still a good bit cheaper. Maybe the DDDVD version doesn't come with the mini gay figures that I don't want anyway, so I don't really care. -

their a good store but for somthign this limited i went for right stuff. they have closer realtions with bandai and can get stock easier. I originally had mine preordered through Right Stuff, then I realized that DDD was 35 bucks cheaper. Worth it to me to switch. -
Easy, don't get your panties in a bunch. If the FP YF-19 was coming out, I'm sure one of our e-tailers here would know about it before random schmucks on Ebay.

Alas... DeepDiscountDVD will be of no help to me. I have been checking my order which shows OPEN. Then I read the FAQ which says that they will not charge you until it SHIPS. So, I won't know beforehand.... DOH! -
No, but DanGAGT certainly does....

Have you bought from them before? How good/reliable are they? I preorded the Mac Plus movie edition from them back when it came out, and had no problems at all. -
So, you're saying it is a different color?
