Some clarification on pricing for those that are concerned... As it was established on the SDF project, the M+ case will be $35 + shipping. This is a discounted price for a custom and numbered release. Those who bought the SDF will benefit from an extra discount and be able to buy the case for $30 + shipping. This is also a price established by Paul based upon those who voted interest in the case, and not those who actually bought the case which was significantly less. . Paul is still honoring his prices despite the turnout of the SDF project. So to sum up... $30 - $40 bucks or so. Give or take a few dollars if you live somehwere that requires extra shipping.

The contest to determine who will get the case of their choice free of charge has ended. However, if you want to put something together, and post it up here, feel free. Or, you could contact AlphaHX who is our design leader, and make some suggestions.

Do they also want you to.....move out of their house? If so, then I would say you have a problem. But, if you're gainfully employed, own or rent your own place, and choose to stay single and fill it full of Yammies, then more power to ya. Not everyone seeks out marriage, and kids etc. I wouldn't trade my family for all the Yammies in the world, but that's me. I have friends who are both happily, and unhappily single. Oh, and as to what everyone said about post children collecting etc. I actually got BACK into collecting when my wife was pregnant with our second child. She had a rough pregnancy, wound up on bedrest, almost lost the baby, and hey, I needed an escape.

Yeah we need the logo!. That's what makes it MW Exclusive!. These cases are not available to anyone except MW members. (Or those who see them, like them, and register on the forums to get one ) Besides, the logo is small, and only takes up about an inch and a half of one spot on the box. That is also where Paul inserts the numbering.

HOLY SHITE I want that one now!! But, Paul didn't put our logo on the mock up yet. I wonder where he's going to put it?

OK, I see your point about the YF-19, but it looks just as much like the 19 is just banking to get position behind Guld, it still looks good IMHO. I definitely like the superimposed Myung, she has to be on there somewhere, especially with Isamu reaching out like he is, towards Sharon, towards Myung etc. Is there any way to do a similar superimpose of Guld & Isamu behind the planes?

Sorry, I love the 1/48 and all, but if you do the math (conservatively, estimating $125 per valk), that's spending over 7000 dollars on variations of the same toy?.

Alpha, not to bring about revision number 432, but the desert spine case... What happened to the superimposed Myung? Can the YF-19 be put on there in a normal stature, the inverted thing looks kind of weird. If anything, the YF-19 inverted should be on the bottom since Isamu flew it feet off the ground like that. Just a suggestion. And I agree with what was said about the cockpit box, overall, it looks great, but I would remove the mini images on the spine. Remember, we need to leave a little space for Paul to put the MW logo on. Thanks again!

I used this stuff called Tacky Wax. Sort of like museum gel, but it seems to hold a whole lot better.

OK guys, I just got an e-mail from Paul. He is willing to do two cases as before! So, 21 is pretty much good to go, all we need to do is finalize 10, and we're ready to order. Thanks again.

So, I finally found a way to store and display most of my CM's Macross figs. Found an Imex 1/48 display case at a local hobby store for 8 bucks. Used some tacky wax to affix the figs so I would not have to use their lame ass stands. Who's there? Well, I have all of the solid hair CM figs except the Minmay chase (expertly replaced by my Imai model) and I left out Sara and Mao who are arguably the worst of all the CM figs. I also left out Ishtar since she is in an impossible pose, and I haven't thought of a way to display her yet minus her stand. Also, I have the Minmay and Mylene toybook figs in there as well. The only problem here was that big Focker. I'd either have to cut holes in the base, or make him a sunroof, cuz he's just too damned tall. Just curious, how does everyone else have theirs displayed?

I like that transparent image of Sharon alot. I wonder if it would look better on 21 or 10? I think maybe 10 since the background is dark like it was in the concert scene?.

Yes! I've been keeping track of the votes, and like I said, 21 is in the lead, 10 is close behind, and 14 is making a showing. Did you get ahold of Paul?, what suggestions did he have? I am very interested in those, but Paul has told me that he is trying not to influence our designs unduly, he's been awesome about every aspect of this project, a true professional. I think 21 is good to go as is. That seems to be the consensus (at least amongst the 21 fans). Let's do what we can with 10, and see if we can get a solid design out of the suggestions everyone has made, and we will go with that one too. We're in the home strecth guys, so, let's bring this sucker to a close!!!!

Given that, 21 will more than likely emerge the winner. We could in theory do two cases, but ONLY if enough people come forward, and actually order them. IMHO - Paul is very gracious in even agreeing to do this project given the abyssmal turnout of the SDF project. So, that being said, I am reluctant to ask him for too much. I agree that 21 is in the lead but Im willing to give the people who dont want 21 one last chance to speak up. I knew that SDF box didnt turn out as well as hoped but didnt think it was abyssmal. Knowing that now, I think Paul is being more than gracious and we definitely shouldnt ask too much from him. So Mechamaniac, lets have one more count so we can get this moving along. In regards of a second box. I think we should just have one design, see how that does. If it does well, then we can ask Paul to see if hes willing to do a second design for us since we pretty much have a good idea what the second layout is gonna be. Also itll be a lot faster getting the second box moving along since we already have the scans and the layouts are right in front of us. Hey, I'm not the final authority on this by any means. I want everyone to come to as close a consensus as we can. I'm just trying to keep the thread moving so it doesn't stall again. I'm all for going ahead with #21 and #10 if Paul is willing to do two boxes again. As to the abyssmal comment - if you tally the votes, we would have had almost 130 cases ordered. As such, Paul cut us a deal on the price. What actually came to be was less than 50 cases, perhaps even less than 40. Paul was still cool enough to honor his lower price even though the turnout was less than 50 percent of what it should have been.

Yeah, might look better if you mirrored Myung's face so she was facing the same direction as Sharon.

I still like 21 myself. IMO, I actually like the triangle being there. Glad someone else liked it too. Unfortunately with the given amount of space of the top, it'll be quite difficult cramming in the cockpit pictures up there. It seems that a bit of people would still like the Sharon Apple and Mac Plus triangle on both sides. I'll try to whip something up really quickly for you guys and if enuf ppl like it, we can ask Mechamaniac if he would allow it to be part of the last vote. I love it, I had actually asked Paul to do a variant of #21 where the Blue Triangle replaced the character triangle that is there. I am probably alone, but that character triangle is probably my least favorite piece of Mac Plus artwork. OH, and nothing is final go ahead and rework 10 as well. I did not mean to specifically exclude it. I think the only one we can specifically exclude based on votes is #18.
