Yes, I had that problem with mine before I got rid of it. The die cast is nice, but IMHO gimmicky, and too heavy for the weak square peg retention it has.

I just hope that the 1/72 Regult is the only thing John has on his plate before this project. Given the lackluster response to the fanboy Valkyrie Girl project, I would hate to see it push back this one in favor of the 5 fanboys that actually want those things to be made.

That one is definitely in the queue before the Cap'n can start on the conversion kits. He indicated when I first asked him that it would probably be May(ish) for a time frame.

Oh, sneaky hobbitses at Yamato!! They shows us, pics of arm armor only, and makes us think that GBP preciousss is many years away, then they surprises us, and shows us the preciousss is nearly finished. I agree that is the absolute meanest looking incarnation of the GBP I have seen yet. Before, it just looked oafish, but that thing looks downright menacing! Must have, preciousss.

The main prob I have with MP is that it is just so freaking time consuming to play from a list of MP3's. I used MP6 for the longest time, but finally upgraded to 9 for the easy as hell CD ripping / titling etc. But making a playlist is such a pain in the arse that it is ridiculous. WinAmp 5 on the other hand is super easy, as I found out today. Just point it at a directory, and hit shuffle which is what I wanted to do. Thanks for the suggestions guys!

OK, so I know this is way OT, but figured I'd ask anyway. I am SICK and FREAKING TIRED of the pisspoor playlist functions in WMP 9/10 etc. I want to be able to just point the player at a directory, and hit a shuffle button. But WMP wants you to go through all this crap, detecting files, etc etc, ad nauseum, and it takes too long IMHO. It has been about a million years since I used WinAmp or anything else, so I am looking for a good FREE downloadable player that can do what I want it to do with regard to just finding and playing files without all the hassle. Any suggestions you guys/gals have is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

THAT is a freaking beautiful custom!! The paintjob looks so smooth, it looks almost factory done. Who did that custom for you?. EDIT - my one and only complaint with this valk is that if someone took the time to do such a beautiful paint job, I wish they would have puttied over the screw holes.

Having seen both, I don't think the lack of Kawamori makes Macross II any less Macross. NOTHING happens in Macross II that is in any way, any stranger, or less canon than the freaky deaky $hit that happens in Macross 7. Personally, I like Macross 7 alot more than Macross II. But I don't agree that Macross II shouldn't fit into the continuity.

The OVA DVDs were done on single layer discs. Presumably, they could fit all four episodes on one dual layerd disc without changing the AV compression. Yes, but the problem with that is that then they could not gank you for $29 bucks per DVD. If they leave it a two disc release, they can!

What's odd is that whatever old dude's body they pasted his head onto looks like it once had a pretty decent physique. You can see at least some decent trapezius muscles in there, and if you look at the full pic in the link, you can see some not half bad biceps, and the shaved arms etc. Iunno, it could be Arnold, and if it is, so what?, the dude is pushing 60, and has reached a pinnacle of physical fitness few of us will ever achieve. It's funny that it's probably some lardass reporter who wrote the "tuminator" article. That or some pasty skinned spindly limey who weighs in a a whopping 140 pounds. Meh, I say, let Arnold get fat (which the dude in that pic is NOT, merely OLD) he's earned it.
