1. OK, for those of you that are interested...please drop me a PM. I don't think I will be able to make one for each of you, it was too time consuming. But I am prepared to put together some kits so you can build your own. The kit will include... The hairball, with velcro backings for the eyes. A pre-made, poseable tail. Pre-painted eyes. (probably 4 sets) A set of Anasazi decals so you do not have to draw the pupils on like I did. Velcro backings for the backs of the eyes. Instructions I estimate the kits will cost about $20 - $25 before shipping. I'm not making any money on these, I'm just gathering the various components for you. It's much easier this way, it took me about a month to find all the stuff I used, and that may not be available whereever you are, especially Rob, who's in Japan. If that sounds good, then like I said, drop me a PM.
2. Looking around, I found the HarryPotter Forums UK link. They run the same version if IPB that we do, and they have a very nice feature that would stop alot of arguments around here in the OOASF section.. You have to click the link to expand the spoiler, nice feature indeed. http://195.137.125.242/hpforums/index.php?showtopic=12946
3. thatwas a pretty good shot wasn't it. 318384 Indeed.
4. Nope, I've checked the schedule, and there is nothing clashing with our panel. Should be a good time!. Here's hoping JRock gets another money shot this year
5. The panel is taking place at Otakon, held in Baltimore, Maryland, at the Baltimore Convention Center between Friday August 19 and Sunday August 21.
6. Panel - ALL THINGS MACROSS Friday - 5:30 - 7:00PM Location - Panel Room 2
7. It's pretty much the same size. I'll have to snap a pic of it on my shoulder, and compare it to the pic of Egan's on my shoulder.
8. Therein lies another dilemma. In the anime, he does have feet. However, in the lineart, he has two different types of feet. Ulimately, I couldn't decide on which to go with, and I am still looking for something to make them out of.
9. I battled with that. I wanted to make it as close as possible to a Rat's tail, but couldn't find the right material and still maintain the "plushie" aspect. I thought of grabbing a rubber halloween rat, and using that tail, but rubber wouldn't have seemed right. In the end, I took a bit of license, and decided that his tail would be as hairy as the rest of him. If someone can give me an idea of a material that I can use that would be poseable, and easy to find, while retaining the look of a rat's tail, I will gladly incorporate it. He is, after all, a prototype.
10. He said something about midget siamese twins attached at the nipples. 317595 Ugh, thanks for the visual.
11. Hey, enough of the bald jokes!
12. F Lucas, he's an idiot. Anime is already full of one dimensional storylines, and anti climactic endings, we don't need his crap input.
13. Photoshop masters.....we need you!!!
14. Thanks for the great comments guys. Graham, please feel free to add him to the Custom Toy Gallery, that would rock!. I'm still working on the angry eyed Gubaba, and I might even make his little ball spacesuit if I can find the right kind of stuff to bash. I wanted to add feet since he has them in the lineart, but I haven't found anything suitable yet. And Gubaba will be accompanying me to Otakon this year. He'll be riding my shoulder, and I'll have to get some Pocky or something to give to people who can actually identify who he is. Any suggestions are welcome also.
15. Yes, I can make more if there is interest.
16. Working on it...
17. So, having had a chance to see Egan and XSToys plushie Gubabas at MWCon, I decided I had to have one. However, I didn't have the time or inclination to scour Yahoo Japan trying to find one, and didn't want to pay a grip for what amounts to a tribble with eyes. So, I made my own, and have one upped the original plushie. My plushie Gubaba features a poseable tail, and removeable eyes allowing the owner to show the many moods of Gubaba. I took the mood ideas from the This is Animation M7 book I snagged from Seichi. I'm still working on some more eyes for him, but for now, these are a good start. Pics..
18. Yeah, Darkon is pretty (in)famous in my area having originated here back in the mid 80's. As soon as I saw the street sign in the first few seconds, I knew it was the same group o' dorks.
19. Speaking of the lynch mob, anyone heard from RoLo lately?
