Picked up the January '06 issue of Newtype today since I saw that the preview DVD contained Macross. Naturally, I assumed that it was a preview (or even a whole episode) of the new ADV dub. Got it home, and it DOES contain Episode 1 of Macross. However, you get the following message: Watch for an extra bonus episode of a newly-dubbed Macross coming soon on your Newtype USA DVD! Then it proceeds to play Episode 1, SUBBED, not dubbed. In other words, the same stuff we've already seen. If you go to the Trailers section of the DVD, it plays a not half bad little compilation trailer set to the series opener, but again, no English Dub. So, Newtype, given that the Dub is due to be released in January, thanks for giving us a preview of what we have already seen. . Here's a hint....by the time you release the dub preview, it will already have been released. However, there was also an interview with Mari in the issue, and it did point out one thing I am very happy to hear... So, no attempts at doing them in English, no Reba West massacres, just original Macross song goodness...kyun! kyun!.

I for one, would love to see this one done in a 1/48 fighter mode. I wonder why Club-M never did it when they did the other signature Macross Plus valks. Would anyone else want one of these?

LOL, true. However, it's also equally amazing how many people line up to kiss his arse whenever an issue like this is raised. AgentONE is a great guy, but not Admin/Mod material. He's too over the top for either position IMHO. And I mean that in the best (and the worst) way. For him to be effective at either, he would have to seriously curtail his antics around here, and that would make him less the AgentONE that everyone loves (or loves to hate ).
