  1. So, it fires nothing? Hell, at least build an airsoft into the thing!
  2. If this is a VF-0D, I'm on it.
  3. It's hard to tell from the pics if they've managed to streamline the fuselage more than the original Yammie model. That was one of the major issues with the original for me anyway. The 19 is so streamlined but the original toy was way chunky. Nice to see they've integrated the neck cover in fighter mode. No more making them out of spray can lids like back in the day . Take my money now! and bring on the SMS variant!!
  4. I wish they would offer that as an option. I'd love to be able to buy the stands and arms a la carte.
  5. I might have missed it, but is there any difference in the actual toy or are we just expected to shell out full toy price for a nifty stand?
  6. I had these stands back in the day when they were cast acrylic with black tips, and the current models. Luckily, I have only used them on non-painted valks so no paint issues for me. Paint issues aside, these stands are great for the money but it always seemed you got the best poses out of using a mix of long and short rods. Right now, the only way to do that would be to buy a variety, of stands and just use the rods. It would be great if they sold the rods separately.
  7. Here's a quickie of mine so far. Mechanical pencil panel lined and used some old 1/48 Yamato decals I had. Decided to go with Max's number cuz well, Max is the $hit. Took EXO's suggestion and painted the cannons gunmetal. Took about 30 minutes and I think it really makes them look awesome.
  8. Last warning. Let's keep the talk to Ponies and Bronies and why you love them or I'll lock it and issue some individual warnings.
  9. Nice, thanks! I see some of the Yamato 1/48 decals in there, that's what I'm using on mine as well. What did you use for the tailfin?
  10. What yellow did you use for the nosecone?
  11. OK, so someone reported a post which forced me to have to read all 4 pages of this thing over my morning coffee. I hate you all for that It's OK to have differing opinions. And it's OK to have some healthy and mildly argumentative banter about them. This is the internetz after all. However, let's leave the flagrant anti LGBT comments out please.
  12. MOD WARNING Knock off the thinly veiled personal attacks gentlemen. I'd hate to have to lock this thread when we all know the RVF will be out soon. MOD WARNING
  13. Awesome! What was your technique? I tried this yesterday with a .05 micron mechanical pencil and it was too big for the uber fine panel lines. Some pointers would be appreciated!

  15. Well that's just what you get for being a productive member of society! We're not supposed to have jobs, we're supposed to be fanboys who sit at our computers hitting the refresh icon every 5 seconds.
  16. I hope so. I had the Alto VF-171 and just hated the color scheme so I gave it up to wait for this one
  17. On the plus side, NY has the 30th Anniv YF-29 in Focker Colors available for pre-order.
  18. SO TIRED OF THIS BULL$H!T!!!!!
  19. I'm sure someone would be willing to send you a high res scan of the VF-4 sticker sheet if you wanted to do a run of them, or use them as a basis to make your own.
  20. We live in exciting times. As if it wasn't already a great time to be a Macross fan with so many of our childhood favorites being made real thanks to Yamato and Bandai etc, we now have plenty of modification and upgrade options available thanks to some of the talented people here on Macross World. I've been trying to follow the various members here who are designing and manufacturing parts etc, but with more and more members entering the realm of desiging and manufacturing parts etc, I figured a thread where we could keep track of them would be in order. So, if you've got upgrade parts available for order, drop me a PM, and I'll maintain a list in this thread. >EXO< - http://www.shapeways...hops/exodigital VF5SS - http://www.shapeways.../shops/veefshop Kurisama - http://www.shapeways.com/shops/RPG DarrinG - http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=37937 Maiden Japan - http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=40038 Xigfrid - http://www.shapeways.com/designer/xigfrid
  21. I'm not bothered by the lack of a gunpod. To me, the cannons mounted in the engine pods makes perfect sense. Why use a gunpod when you have built in cannons in each arm. I have to say though that the fully armed with missile pods is pretty sweet
  22. I really want to panel line mine, but the last time I tried a Gundam marker it broke within the first .0025 seconds. Not sure if I want to go all the way and do a wash on this beastie or not.
  23. How about some replacement tail fins? It would be nice to have a pair to paint up with the FB2012 marking without using the sticker sheets.
  24. Just unboxed mine! Bravo Yamato!! And....Bravo Nippon Yasan!!
