1. LOL, this should have been a poll. My vote would have been, forgotten anime classic.
2. Another... 1280 x 800
3. Another... 1280 x 800
4. Another... 1280 x 800
5. Another... 1280 x 800
6. Another... 1280 x 800
7. Here are a couple I made from the Tenjin's Valkyrie book...I'm sure Alpha could work wonders with the stuff in that book. 1280 x 800
8. Well, the monster in his BMP is canon, whereas the one in his avatar is from the CG Monster that someone did a couple of years ago. So, technically, the guns on the avatar are too long.
9. Heh, that's what my wife always says to me when she wants me to get off the couch and do some housework. Graham 364922 LOL, that rocks. My wife got a kick out of that, now she can add it to her arsenal. I'd love to see one of the Military Garlands, but hey, after 20 years of literally dreaming about this toy, I'm elated to get Shogo's ride.
10. Stolen from mahq.net and converted to 1/15 scale. Cycle Mode Overall length: 3.96 meters = 10.4 inches Overall width: 1.35 meters = 3.54 inches Overall height: 0.94 meters = 2.46 inches Maneuver Slave Mode - 3.85 meters = 10.1 inches.
11. Well, widescreens get kind of tricky. I'm using 1280 x 800. There's not too many cool desktops out there for that res, especially anime themed.
12. ALPHA - Nice to see you back around the forums! Those are sweet! BTW - what's the size of the PSP screen, I am wondering if any of those can be re-sized for use on widescreen laptops?
13. You guys have also forgotten to mention that the Zentradi apparently (and conveniently) brought along several Zentradi sized objects with them (in their sparse battlepods) when they attacked the concert hall. Zentradi forks and plates - To make the makeshift cell. Zentradi sized bottles of booze and glasses Zentradi sized chicken (or turkey) legs. I didn't know there were Zentradi chickens...
14. I thought the Krylon fusion was a dye, not a paint?. At least that's what people were saying a while ago. I didn't think it would chip off like paint does. But hey, consider it realistic weathering. SUPER NICE job Haterist!!
15. Sorry, but a new Macross OVA or series just scares the hell out of me after Macross Zero. Given Kawamori's recent offerings, it's clear that he has rounded the bend from "cool as hell Mecha designer" to "Tree hugging hippie freak". A new Macross series would almost certainly revolve around some sort of mystical plant that gives the protoculture their power, and how stupid mankind is to fight wars that destroy this mystical, life giving plant. Or, he could just have all the characters sitting around doing bong hits all day. Worse yet, we could get Macross Zero all over again. Nice start, no real finish, story lines out the ass left hanging.
16. Nope, never there in the anime, just there to trigger the missile release.
17. True, but I'm not one of those guys. I free my toys from their cardboard prisons as soon as I get them. I have to say that I don't get the MISB mentality at all. Yeah, hell, the whole conversion kit was my idea, so It would have been pretty cruddy of me to bash the Cap. Especially considering that I couldn't have pulled off that kit in a thousand years. I'm pretty good at modifying, but scratch building???.... All in all, I love my D kit. I just wish I would stop running out of paint. Damn Tamiya flats, they look SO good, but you waste 2/3 of the can because they come out in such a fine mist.
18. Wow, who knew there was so much enmity towards "the toy guys" Speaking as a "toy guy" I buy them because I just don't have the time to sit and sand and fill and putty and kitbash for hours and hours in order to make a decent looking display piece. Note, I did not say that I was not willing to do so. I can do all of those things, and am currently finishing one of the D kits......myself (shocker, we're not all unskilled morons ) I'm not opposed to models at all, but, I happen to like the size of the 1/48 and the fact that it is mostly complete. You can tweak them to be sure, but it's not always necessary. And, when you have small children (who just LOVE to pick up itty bitty parts and run away with them) and no work room, Toys seem like the way to go. Case in point....if I had a dollar for every time my three year old has run off with the pilot figs and the seats from the D conversion kit (while my itty bitty pea sized "toy guy" brain was trying to figure out how to make them work in the cockpit) I'd have enough to pay for the kit all over again. Not to mention that I'd hate to become one of those Model guys who has piles and stacks of models...more than they could ever complete in a lifetime, but always saying...."one day, I'll get to them". EDIT - So, John's sworn off of toy conversions eh?. Cool. My second D kit just quadrupled in value.
19. I'm not sure why. The 1/48 YF-19 Club M model is only about an inch and a half longer than the 1/48 VF-1 toy. 1/48 Mac Plus valks are totally do-able.
20. Pat, does the VF-11 still transform?
21. I love that....classic Bill and classic Stewie!.
22. Or so we all thought, until Yamato released the 1/48 Miria Fallyna Jenius VF-1J... Then the debate raged all over again... 361839 I prefer Mil F. Jenius. 361844 LOL
23. Or so we all thought, until Yamato released the 1/48 Miria Fallyna Jenius VF-1J... Then the debate raged all over again...
24. Shatner is the coolest. I assume everyone here has heard my personal "Shatner is the bomb" story? This is slightly old news though, I read about the intent to do this a while ago. Besides the money is going to charity so it's all good.
25. Eine minute bitte.... Did you paint that at all? or just remove the brown from the chestplate and the wings?
