I think there should either be one thread where everything goes (like the HG debate thread) or two threads. One for the haters, one for the fans. If either group causes trouble in the other group's thread, they get warned, suspended, then banned etc.

Looking at the Movies and TV Forum, there are only two pinned topics there, one of which can pretty much be killed since the iMacross servers are a thing of the past. That being said, we should definitely be able to pin a thread. Hell, for that matter, why not start a Macross 7 Lovers and a Macross 7 Haters thread.. Never the twain shall meet, lovers post in one, haters in the other. No trolling or troll feeding in either thread.

A pinned thread is the way to go. Is it unfair to the other series?. In my opinion, no it's not. The HG debate thread works because HG vs BW is a constant topic of debate. Macross 7 is the same, like religion and politics, it's a very polarizing issue.. Even amongst the non-haters, there are things to love and hate about Macross 7, let's face it, you need to be pretty open minded to accept everything that 7 has to offer, and even then, there's some stuff that's just kind of...... I say we pin a thread, and keep it there. Any new Macross 7 threads will be obliterated with a link left to the pinned thread. The pinned thread will encompass all things Macross 7. Between the Mods and the Mini-Mods, I think we can manage to keep a pinned thread under control. As JSA said, most of the reason AgentONE's anti Macross 7 posts cause threads to descend into flame wars is because people constantly feel the need to post rebuttals and fan the fire. AgentONE is alot of things, but he IS consistent. I don't think that anything anyone has to say on the subject will change his mind about Macross 7. Similary, Keith's opinion of Macross 7 will never be changed by anything that AgentONE has to say. That being said, he posts his opinions in each and every thread because: A - He has the right to do so, just like everyone else. B - Opinions are like Aholes, everyone has them. C - He enjoys the controversy caused by everyone flaming him. If there is a pinned thread, remember that we are all (hopefully) adults. Let's not forget the "ignore user" function, or our own free will to not feed into the stuff that we KNOW makes threads go downhill.

That thread proves that roughly 75% of people have seen your views on M7. Besides, it's not that your views on M7 were wrong, it was because it was the millionth time an "I just watched Macross 7" thread was started. I would have killed it too, but I don't think I would have been nice enough to link to the other times it had been done. Maybe we need to pin an all inclusive Macross 7 thread, and just let it go. That way, anyone could post what they wanted, and new threads could be whacked and re-directed to the existing thread.

Further character development of Max and Millia (though I hated the fact that they were split up) The songs were crap at first, but then they sent tendrils into my brain, and all of the sudden, I started liking them. Gubaba - I don't know why, but Gubaba is one of the coolest characters in Macross 7. Probably because he was basically just a mirror/ accentuator of Mylene's various emotional states, but despite the fact that he's a rat, he's more catlike than anything. Gubaba could care less about every other living human onboard City 7.......except for Mylene (and for some reason, Basara).

There are a couple of very prominent cel dealers that attend. One of them had some absolutely beautiful DYRL and SDF Macross cels last year, but they were out of my price range.

Name a vendor, they are usually there. Last year, we had HLJ, Kinokuniya bookstore, almost all of the major anime production companies, most of the major anime web-tailers, and tons of industry booths. Guests are still being worked on at this point. Keep checking the website for up to date info.....www.otakon.com On another note, I don't think there will be a Macross panel this year. Last year's Macross panel got kind of a meh turnout, and since there is nothing new with Macross happening this year, we have decided to run a panel of a different color. Macross will still be discussed, it just will not be the central theme.

As a former Low Viz owner, I'll be the first one to speak up and say, meh. I had the Low Viz, and after awhile, it was just a gray plane. The coolest thing about it IMHO was the Zero style pilot.
