  1. I wonder, given Arnold's love of a fine Cigar, if he will do anything about the absurd smoking laws that seem to run rampant in your state. Unfortunately, they are starting to run rampant in mine as well . I don't smoke, never did, but I feel that if you don't like it, you can get up, and walk away, or politely ask the person to do it somewhere else rather than whine to the government, and lobby to make it illegal.
  2. No, the last paragraph is where he talks about seeing himself as playing the victim, more often than the killer. He talked about how it is expected that the muscleman would be the hero, and how he does not want to play those types of roles. Jeez, you guys got your minds in the gutter!
  3. Does anyone here have the Conan Collector's Edition DVD? I have the standard DVD, (movie only), but saw the Collector's Edition the other day, supposedly has audio commentary from Milius and Arnold, and some other stuff. Is it any more re-mastered than the first DVD release?
  4. Looks like a little mini Monster too. Seriously, the squat legs, the long rectangular body, and the slight taper to the body at the front. Whoa, this little chippie comes with the set too. She's got a little Wendy O Williams thing going on there
  5. In retrospect, the last paragraph was the strangest part of that interview.
  6. That is probably the cleanest paint job I have ever seen on a custom. I totally agree with everyone else, it looks factory.
  7. Glad you liked the articles. Even gladder that CA archives their stuff online, otherwise, I would have had to transcribe it, and that would have SUCKED!
  8. Try this one... http://www.cigaraficionado.com/Cigar/CA_Ar...0,2705,,00.html Arnold did interviews in 2003, and 1996
  9. No I haven't but I want to, why? Are they good? Oh yeah, really good, see above I want an office like his someday....
  10. Have you guys read either of the interviews that Arnold did for Cigar Aficionado?? EDIT, forgot da link: http://www.cigaraficionado.com/Cigar/CA_Pr...2540,25,00.html http://www.cigaraficionado.com/Cigar/CA_Ar...22,1352,00.html Interestingly, this quote from the first article...
  11. Sorry, have to correct you there. 95% of all music today borrows from the blues in some way. Hip Hop was not even invented in any form until about 15 years ago. And hip hop doesn't borrow from other music, it downright steals, "sampling" someone else's song is crap, which is why I rather that it was puff daddy that had been gunned down, instead of 2PAC, at least 2PAC was original.
  12. Did you bother to look at my profile?. If you had bothered to check my profile, you would know that I am in Maryland, which is SOUTH of the famous Mason-Dixon Line, so technically, I AM IN THE SOUTH. However, I choose to speak the King's English instead of that drawling lazy crap that I hear all day long pranging away in my right ear. I just cannot abide people who delight in being simple, and speaking incorrectly. I swear one time I had this redneck lady who told me that she had a laptop "whullago" that was good, but "yersteeday" it broke. WTF???
  13. Y'know, you're right. If you go to this link: http://www.joinarnold.com/en/press/imagecenter.php And look at the images, Arnold really does look downright thin compared to alot of the people he is standing next to. Maybe it's just the suits, but he looks almost slight in stature. Judging by those pics, and what we know (having seen in his films) I would say that he is not a very big guy at all, just VERY defined. Strange...and a bit of a letdown, one of my childhood heroes turns out to be human after all....
  14. Hey Mechamaniac, have you thought about if there are any "redneck" macross fans out there? I'm sure there are... And as long as they don't work for Monumental Life Insurance, and carry a laptop that they can break, or are too ignorant to learn how to use, then I wish them well. See, when the rednecks call me and bug me at work, it keeps me from surfing MW .
  15. Might help if you didn't misspell intelligent there Agent! I can't believe I left out my disdain for Country music in my post. No romance the sheep tunes for me, as soon as I hear the twang twang, gyuh gyuh of a redneck tune, I change the channel as fast as humanly possible. I think that stems from the fact that I do tech support for rednecks from the south all day long, so all I hear all day is southern accents, it's enought to make you want to shoot yourself.
  16. Pretty much anything except CRAP, sorry, I'm culturally closed minded. The plight of inner city youths doesn't inspire me in any way since I am a white boy from the suburbs, and I don't listen to people just because they "tell it like it is", or because they are "keepin' it REAL". But I will acknowledge that alot of those guys have huge amounts of talent, unlike... (see below) I also don't have much use for people that have no natural talent either, so that pretty much eliminates Britney Spears and her ilk, a pair of bressasus does not make an artist IMHO. So, Britney, the Back Door Boys, Lip Synch, Christina Aguilera etc etc, they are all wastes of DNA, and good, expensive radio time. Also, those who don't write their own songs piss me off, so Michael Bolton, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey blah blah, you are no talent hacks that can carry a tune, and/or bang a record producer to get a contract. Celine Dion, UGH, her husband is like 70, and when they met she was like 14, now, they didn't get together until years after that, but you know what he was thinking the first time he met her....can you say PEDOPHILE? So, if you cannot play an instrument, or write your own lyrics (preferably both), you will not occupy my CD player, and I will change stations on the radio as soon as my finger can smash the button.
  17. That means you are probably taller. The Army always used to tell me at every weigh in, that I am 5' 8.75", but I was measured taller than that before, and after the Army, so hmmmm. Personally, I think they shaved an inch off of everyone to bump you down into the next lowest weight bracket, and keep you wafer thin.
  18. Arnold must have really had some image construction, and camera angles working for him. You can tell by looking at Bronson, and Reynolds that they are little guys.
  19. I don't know man, look at your Austrian Oak pics, dude's biceps were MASSIVE back then, freakishly so, and I thought he was big when he did Conan, sheesh!.
  20. Wow, I thought he was a big dude, I am taller than him in that case, and I'm 5' 11". Makes sense though, if you watched him on Leno last night, or the other night at his speech, he and Jay are about the same height. According to IMDB, Jay Leno is 5' 10" Funny how Hollywood puts a spin on things like that, as if Arnold would have to be over 6 feet tall to be impressive. It started in his body building career, I think it is kind of like football stats... They make everyone seem bigger so when you look at them on TV you are in awe. Which is wierd because there are alot of bodybuilders that are short stocky guys. Some of Arnold's old weight lifting buddies were little dudes too, so it's more or less accepted to be a stocky little dude, as long as you are HUGE everywhere else. (well, except the sac area, the Steroids tend to take care of that issue).
  21. Wow, I thought he was a big dude, I am taller than him in that case, and I'm 5' 11". 22. That is so not true, anyone with half a brain should have figured that out ages ago... They board the train in London, and the ride is several hours. Hogwarts is in the mountains, and there are not too many mountain ranges in the South of England, therefore, there is nowhere else they could be going but Scotland. England isn't that big man, Hogwarts location was easily deduced by me the first time I read the Philosopher's Stone.
  23. Well, according to IMDB... Arnold - 6' 2" The Rock - 6' 41/2" Don't know about weight.
  24. Just a thought, and this is movie related as well as Arnie related... THERE IS A POLITICAL COMMENT TO FOLLOW, BUT IT IS LIGHTHEARTED AND MOVIE RELATED, It's a polite jab at Arnie and his movie cronies. Here's hoping he doesn't name any of his past movie buddies to top government positions. I can see it now.... Lieutenant Governor - Sven Ole Thorsen Controller - Franco Columbu.
  25. How much "less"?
