  1. DELL - Meh. I currently support 3000 DELL Laptops out in the field, and I can tell you that they are - OK. Pros - Good brand name, informative website and support. Cons - Bad design, unwillingness to own up to obvious design and manufacturing flaws. Unless you buy a mega-expensive laptop, you will get crap video and sound. Example, our laptops have the same crap 8MB sound and 16 mb video cards that all the Latitude and Inspiron series have. Yes, they use the same freaking card for all those series. If you get a DELL laptop, you have to go Professional series, and they are big bucks, if you want to do anything closely resembling power computing.
  2. Well, I'm married, so I always calculate everything by a factor of two. Seriously though, a non-matinee in Maryland is like 8 bucks.
  3. The studio that made the film, and bilked you out of $12 of your hard earned dollars to go see a pointless film that is the latest addition in quest for more money sequels. These flicks should have died in the 80's. Waste of celluloid.
  4. Shawn, Take that to your local cable company. Alot of them will let you use their studio equipment after a short class on how to do so without messing it up. You should be able to remaster the stuff somewhat, and put it on a CD ROM or better yet, DVD!. I would gladly pay for a copy of all that cool nostalgic stuff on a DVD.
  5. Yeah, otherwise known as a MULLETT!
  6. Dude, he didn't need the sun visor. The way his hair stuck out like that, it was probably better than wearing a large brimmed baseball cap. I'm sure it kept the sun out of his eyes quite well.
  7. PICS? - Oh, and *AHEM* - Other Anime and Science Fiction forum? *AHEM*
  8. Wierd, that looks almost Mospeada like. Sort of like a streamlined Invid.
  9. Hey Rob, have you thought of this? Removable/replaceeable turret. So, the top of the armor (covering the plane) would be more or less flat. You could swap out the turret for other weapons packs, like missile pods, or commo equipment etc. As long as the replacement parts were molded up a bit, you would keep the contour of the overall back piece, so it would not appear to be flat. Hey, if the Regult pods can have interchangeable missile cluster, and cannon variants, why not the valk?
  10. Already? - Yeesh, I\ll be 33 next Friday, should I have waited longer? And thanks, we think so too.
  11. Interesting factoid about He-Man. IMDB.COM That gives He-Man a whole new meaning!!.
  12. I'll be disguised as the muggle parent of a young Hogwarts student. Which means I will be dressed normally, and escorting my 5 year old daughter who is going as a young Gryffindor. And toting my youngest (18 months) who will be wearing one of those oh-so comfortable baby costumes that covers every square inch of her body except her face. I'm sure she will be just thrilled to be stuck in that thing!
  13. Sweet, you guys have to post some pics when you complete your mods to them. It would be cool to see them detailed up a bit, complete with the yellow marking on the back of the hand etc.
  14. While on the subject of crappy American toys, let's not forget about "Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors".
  15. Cool, but remember that the manipulator kit is resin, so you will have to paint them from the looks, and they are fixed pose as well. So, if you heat the pistol grip hand and bend it around the grip of your gunpod, it should hold better than the poseables that come with the MG kit. Bottom line, no hands really hold the gun correctly because of the fins on the back of the gun, they are too big, and put either outward, inward or downward tension on the hand depending on where you put the fins.
  16. The MG Ingrams come with one poseable right and left hand, one fixed closed grip right and left hand, and one fixed open (fingers outstretched) right and left hand. So, you get like 6 hands with each. But if you don't want to buy the whole Ingram kit, then get this.... HDM-21 Manipulator Kit As to the ball joint, yes, I did have to shave that down, but ten minutes with an xacto, and simple removal of the ball leaving a peg in it's place worked fine. You just gotta fine tune it a bit. Hope this helps.....
  17. Answer - YES - They fold nicely into the forearms.
  18. Battroid
  19. OK, here it be, apologies for my el crappo digicam it doesnt do well up close. and here's one from afar
  20. Hang on, I'll snap some pics of mine.
  21. Actually, it's a combo deal. Most American parents are too stupid to pay attention to their kids, so they force the government to be over protective
  22. LOL, My wife has watched DYRL, and Mac Plus with me, she liked em both well enough... However, I think I will ultimatel turn her away from Anime. The first non-Macross anime she watched with me was Jin-Roh. Her comment? - "Well, that was....DARK". Second - Grave of the Fireflies - After she stopped crying - "Goddamn it, I'm going to stop watchig this stuff if it is always so sad. Now, I have her watcing Bebop - I've been playing off how lighthearted the series is thus far, I just don't have the heart to tell her how it ends. So, after episode 26, and her third depressing anime in a row, I think she will swear off it forever.
  23. On a related note, did anyone catch how they have changed the acronym for SD?. It's Superior Defender according to the show title, and not Super Deformed.
  24. I kitbashed the hands from a MG 1/35 Patlabor AV-98 Ingram for my 1/48.
  25. Can someone who has the Armada Unicron toy tell me what the deal is with the wings? Unless I am missing something, it is impossible to lock them into place as shown in the diagram. ???
