Well, that is to say, I saw a hooded figure run up, and drop a package on the porch. I saw this from my upstairs bedroom window,where I had staked out for a little while. I hollered for my wife to get em, but she was too busy hammering another ten penny marlboro nail into her coffin to bother . Tonight, they came before anyone got home. Tomorrow night, the old Pincer attack. Wife upstairs on lookout, me next to the door, when she sees em, she'll beep me on my Nextel (she has one too) and I will open the door, and invite whomever it is in fora little Christmas cheer. Literally, I still have little clue as to who it is. The figure I saw last night was neither tall enough to be my business partner, or small and enough to be his wife. So, I'm just gonna have to catch them red handed. BTW - Thanks for letting this thread stay open. It really is no longer necessary. My original intent was just to see if anyone had ever experienced anything similar, or partaken in anything similar on the other side of the fence. Obviously, I am the first to have this happen, but hey, it all seems to be in good Christmas cheer, so hopefully some of us will "pay it forward" and do it next year. If you have the R2 DVD, I believe it is on the special features... As usual, all we get here in R1 is the movie in a shitty slip case.. But the R2 release is a 2 dvd set complete with special features, and a featurette called "If it bleeds, we can kill it". They showed a pic of the thing when they played Predator on DVD TV, you aren't missing much.

So, gleaning something else from this thread.... They repainted an entire VF-1D so Max and Millia could fly it for ten seconds after their wedding.... They repainted an entire VF-0D so a chick like Shin could have his own custom color scheme... Max goes through two color schemes in the series. They repaint a VF-1J and give it to Max's main squeeze in the series. So, I'm guessing the budget for cosmetic modifications must be pretty huge, strange considering the amount of attrition that the space forces suffered during SW 1.

I am tending to agree that perhaps I shouldn't try so hard to catch them in the act. Whoever is doing this is obviously having as much of a blast doing it, as we are finding the stuff, and as you all are reading about it . I am 99% convinced that whomever is doing it, is doing it with no ill will. It definitely seems to be a "pay it forward" type of thing. Half of the people my wife blabbed to about it have been saying that they were going to do that to their parents or someone else next Christmas. It sounds like a load of fun to be on the other end of this, (being the Secret Elves) but since my wife has told practically everyone we know, everyone would know it was us if we did it. Anyone here plan on doing this to someone you know next year??
