Okay everyone, here is an update. I've been working on the boom to make it extend-able and here is the end result. Also got pics of the fuel tanker and the basket parts. This project is very close to completion, just waiting on some more printed detail parts. Also, I am happy to inform everyone that the masters for the 1/72 and 1/48 scale jeeps have been ordered and are currently being produced. I still have to finish the APC, but that won't take too long. I've been focusing on getting the 1/48 ground sets ready. As always please fire away with any comments and suggestions

Looking good so far! Love the bomber Mike!

They had a blast Mike. I was a very much needed diversion. But I also missed working on my model kits. That being said, here is an update guys. I did the CNC mockup for the boom truck cab over the last few days. I did a couple and then assembled one to see how it fits. Let me know what you guys think.

Hey everyone! back from New York and it was a blast. My kids had an awesome time and all the people who work at Sesame Street are absolutely wonderful. Here are a few pics. Jumping back into the routine has been a little hectic. I will have some more progress pics soon so stay tuned. Thanks everyone for being so understanding.

Yeah Exo you and I are not unfamiliar with those pesky little delays I was just trying to explain why I might be out of the loop for a while. I'm sure it's understandable, but I'm just trying to be up front with everyone. Thanks for all the Supportive comments guys, they really are appreciated. I'm just happy she is doing well and I have to give a shout out to the Make-A-Wish foundation they really are a top notch charity. Everyone there has been so nice, and everything happens fast so we didn't know if or when her wish was going to be granted. I'm sure she will never forget it.

Hey everyone. Well another quick update. Everything is going well, I am just waiting on some 3d printed parts and I am still working on the CNC parts. I am here to inform everyone that there will be another small delay, but one I'm sure you all can understand. Some of you who are more acquainted with me know that My 3 year old daughter is a cancer survivor. She was diagnosed with a Wilm's tumor when she was only a little over 1 year old. She underwent surgery and had to have a kidney removed. they got most of the tumor but found It had spread to her lungs and she had to undergo extensive chemotherapy. She has been in remission since June, and My family was very lucky. Well My daughter has had her wish granted from Make-A-Wish foundation. She wanted to meet Elmo from Sesame Street as, like many kids her age, she is a huge sesame street fan. It was one of the things that helped her get through the extensive hospital stays. Well we were informed that her wish has been granted and my family and I will be traveling to New York City and visit the Children's Television Workshop studios and watch a taping of the show and My daughter will get to meet the characters afterward. So folks I will have to set aside working on this to go with my daughter and watch her have fun. I'm sure you will all understand. I'll be sure to post a picture or 2 when I return. This shouldn't delay the 1/48 scale set too long, just a couple days, but I hate delays and just wanted to be up front with everyone. Thanks for all your support and understanding. Now that all that is out of the way, anyone interested in the military vehicle set, please let me know. I am merely gauging interest at this point. I want to get an idea of how many i need to make in each scale. so send me a PM with the scale you want and how many kits you are interested in. The military set will consist of 1 APC, 2 M299 jeeps, and 2 XM3002 Low Gravity jeeps.

just a quick update, here are some pics of the steering wheels and of course a row of gunpod carrier bases. My unexpected business trip has set me back a bit but they are almost done. I'm waiting on a reprint of one of the parts. The fuel tank got demolished by one of my kids while I was gone. I will be posting pics of some of the CNC machined parts mainly the cab and the boom for the boom truck. I'm finishing them up now. Post them tomorrow or the day after hopefully.

I will be posting more progress pics this weekend. an emergency business trip to Nashville has kinda kept me from updating.
-
The APC and the 2 jeeps will be the next set and will be done in 1/72, 1/60 and 1/48 scales. My goal is to do this set in all three scales at once. Keep the comments and suggestions coming guys!
-
Thanks for all the supportive comments guys! Here's a sneek peek at the APC model. Comments are welcome

well here is another contribution to ocular diabetes! Here are the casted parts for the boom truck and the water truck. I have also had some requests for additional pictures of the gunpod carrier. I have not started casting all the parts yet so i used the masters. Enjoy!
-
Just posting some photos of some of the casted parts for the 1/48 set. The 1/60 would be identical, only smaller. I have already been contacted by some folks who are interested in these. Still need a couple more to make it happen.
-
Yes and it's only gonna get worse! And mom always said you'd go blind from something else.
-
Thanks for the compliments guys really appreciated. I will have some more photos of the casted parts this weekend but for now I have some more eye candy for you... Here is the xm3002 low gravity jeep model in 3d. I have 2 beauty shots and one that shows the parts. Now is the time to add your 2 cents guys i will be posting the APC model soon.
-
Okay everyone. Here are photos of some of the first castings! The tractor, forklift and the power unit. Please enjoy and of course let the comments and questions fly!
-
I'm still tempted to get one of these. Still don't know of I like the design yet. Kind of a bastard mix of the sv-51 and the yf-19. I would like to see Gerwalk and Battroid modes to make a definite decision. too bad this one doesn't transform.
-
Very impressive! you would almost need an entire shelf just to display it!
-
I have a few members interested in this set. Please keep the pm's coming guys so this set can become a reality. I just need a few more people interested to make it happen. I will keep it open for awhile longer because I know some of us are still recovering from the holidays. there is plenty more to come guys. I have some of the jeeps and civilian vehicles on the way as well. I am currently in the process of casting the 1/48 scale set of ground support vehicles. I will post some pictures here soon as well as some of the assembled 1/72 vehicles I am working on.
-
I'm not abandoning the 1/60 scale yet Derex. just need some more of you guys to tell me you are interested. So pass the word and let get some more 1/60 folks interested and let's get it rolling! Thanks for all your support guys. I'm really overwhelmed by all the feedback I have received so far. This is only the beginning.
-
Okay everyone! Here's a preview of the first vehicle in the next set. The m299 jeep. Please let me know what you guys think. there are 2 assembled pics and one showing all the parts. Comments and suggestions are very welcome! Also anyone who wants to get in on any of the ground support vehicle sets please pm me and ask questions.
-
The next set will be the Military vehicles such as the m299 jeep and the low gravity vehicle, and the APC. The set will be smaller, probably one apc and 2 of each of the jeeps. Don't know if the 1/60 set will make it, even with the posting in the toy section, not a whole lot of enthusiasm. So for now the 1/60 scale ground support set is on hold until there is enough intrest. (sorry 1/60 guys ) Next step in the process for the military set is to design where the part lines will be. Everyone will be able to have their say in this process. Then I will try to do the civilian vehicles as well. So please keep suggesting vehicles and ideas guys they all help make the end result better!
-
Thanks for the compliment Claude. I pm'ed you back. I'll try to keep it going as much as i can. Anything i make goes into the next project and so on. Thor and I have a lot of stuff on the drawing board guys, very exciting stuff keep posted. I mentioned it earlier Kicker but it was a little vague. So the price for the set of 7 vehicles will be $200 plus shipping and handling. I am also making the vehicles available individually. The boom truck will be $42 plus S&H (hey it's frikkin HUGE!!!!) and the other vehicles will be available for $28 each plus S&H. This set is really looking good guys, I will post pictures of the parts as they become available. Thanks again for the support!
-
It's rolling Kicker! Molds are being made, should start casting by next week. I will start contacting the folks on the list for payment arrangements. If you still want in on this or have questions, Please feel free to PM me!
-
LOL well right now I am just testing to see how much intrest there would be in the 1/60 scale. I am taking orders now for the 1/48. The 1/48 should be ready in 3-4 weeks. I'll PM you with the details.
-
The masters for the 1/48 scale have arrived. Here are the photos. The 1/60 set will be identical except for the size. I have some priming and sanding to smooth out some of the curved edges. (the 3dprinting process does that) but the 1/72 set came out great and I made improvements on the 1/48 scale set. Please feel free to add comments or ask questions. If you are interested in a set please PM me. First the Boom truck. The cab and boom will be CNC machined. The final result looked really good in 1/72 scale. Next the rest of the set plus some shots of some of the details and parts. The wheels even have the lug nuts on them. If you want to see more pictures or have any questions, Please feel free to ask.
