Macross Military vehicle kit in 1/72 and 1/48 scale
tundrayeti replied to tundrayeti's topic in Model kits
So far the response has been good, keep those orders coming guys! Here is a quick snapshot of some of the casted parts for the low gravity vehicle. Thanks! -
Well here's a snack to feed the addiction! I have attached pics of the doorway that I will be using on this Hangar. There will be 2 personnel doors and these will also have lights installed in them. The material is translucent and I will be polishing the paint off the control on the left to let the light through. The soda can tab is for scale but you can see this has a lot of detail! I have also included some of the greebles I will be using for this project. These are also available for sale if anyone wants them to add detail to a hangar etc... PM me if interested. Thanks for the shout out Miriya, and I'm glad you like it!

Love the Carrier Deck! Where did you find that?
-
Well I do take orders. This one is going to a lucky Macross World member. And Thanks for all the compliments everyone. So far everyone who has gotten one of my hangar kits has been pretty happy!.
-
Well here are some shots of the initial framework and the hangar doors. I added the Vf-1a cannon fodder for reference. Also, there are a couple of floor panels as well. Finally, the battery box that is "greeblized", to look like part of the hangar. They still need some cleanup, but you will all get the idea. I also have channels cut in the back support walls to run the wires. The slots in the floor and back wall are for the gantry cranes to run in. They will have metal strips glued in them to allow power to the gantry cranes, which will be lighted as well. Still cranking out parts, doing some more detail work and I should have something to show in a few days.

Macross Military vehicle kit in 1/72 and 1/48 scale
tundrayeti replied to tundrayeti's topic in Model kits
Your sets are almost ready to go Kicker! So far so good please keep those orders coming guys. -
I use PVC sheets for all my hangar dioramas. Several members have purchased my hangar bay kits and everyone has been very pleased. Check out some of my other threads to check out previous work. I will be showcasing quite a few of my other products that i offer. I will also be using several of my resin casted greebles as well as other services i offer. I sell CNC engraved panels that are relatively inexpensive. But everyone seems to like the custom hangars. This is the first one that i have been commissioned for to completely finish with paint and lighting. If anyone is interested in getting something custom made, or would like more info on my standard items, please PM me.
-
Well Here's a project I finished up. Offered these hangars as a kit and Sold out of them. Making some more at the moment, but I have to put my Viper MK VII in this one.
-
Hello all. Well I have been commissioned by one of our members to build the ULTIMATE Macross Hangar in 1/60 scale. He asked me to post his design and build progress here on the forums for all to see. This will probably be my best hangar to date, complete with moving gantry cranes, lights, and movable hangar doors. This hangar will be huge with it's dimensions at 12" high and 12" deep and 2 1/2 feet wide! I'll leave it up to the member whether or not to reveal himself, but here are some of his preliminary design pics. This build is actually in the initial stages of construction. The base is assembled, and the lights are being installed. Took a little time off to recover from surgery, hence the delay in posting this, but please bring on all comments and question! Enjoy!

Hello everyone! Well I am starting a new thread for these sets. For those of you who have purchased or are familiar with the ground support vehicle sets I have done previously, I also announced in that thread An upcoming Military vehicle set. Well I am now taking orders. It would have been sooner, but I have had a large number of Custom order lately (usually happens after Wonderfest) and I wanted these to be ready to go! I have also been recovering from surgery the last few weeks so for those of you who have been patient and supportive, Thank you! The sets are available in 1/72 and 1/48 scales. The set will consist of 1 M-299 jeep, 1 XM-3002 Low Gravity Jeep, and 1 APC. I previewed the jeeps at Wonderfest and they sold out pretty quick. I'll give about 3 weeks for orders to be placed and delivery will be about 2-3 weeks after that. I already have the molds done. so I wanted everything to be ready for this one. So Please let me know what scale you would like and how many. I can also add extra vehicles if desired. And now Pricing! The 1/72 set will go for $60.00 and the 1/48 scale will go for $90.00. Prices do not include shipping and handling. For those of you who are outside the US, i will calculate individually but for orders taken inside the US, shipping and handling will be $15.70. I will use the flat rate shipping. So With all that said Here are a few pics of the masters, and One of the jeeps I did for display at Wonderfest For those members who got your there at Wonderfest, Thanks for all your support! Sorry for the quality of the pics they were taken with my old camera. I'll post new ones of the first few castings this weekend

Hey everyone just giving an update. I took a little rest after Wonderfest, the 1/72 Military set is in production so get your order in now. The 1/48 scale is a little held up due to my shop being re-organized and retrofitted. got some new equipment in that will make everything easier so hang in there folks i will be back up and running soon.

Neptune! thanks for the compliments and I was really great meeting some more of my fellow Macross worlders. Wonderfest was a blast and It's always nice to have your work appreciated. For those of you who are curious about Neptune's custom Diorama Hangar (i have had several PM's) check out my diorama madness thread HERE. His was the best I've done so far and I can't wait to see what Neptune does with it. Anyway Been away for awhile because no sooner did I get back from Wonbderfest than my company had me on a plane heading to Texas and a few other places. So For those of you who purchased some of the preliminary Military and ground support vehicles... THANKS! your feedback lets me know I'm on the right track. I just have to finish up the APC molds and I will then start collecting payments for the military sets in 1/72 and 1/48. I have held off taking anything because of my company having me traveling all over. So I will be finishing up the APC this weekend and then orders and payments will be taken. Thanks again guys!

Wow looks like you need some ground support vehicles to help fix that bad boy. Great work I love the battle damaged look!
-

Pmed you an update Kicker. The military set will have the APC, the M-299 jeep and the XM-3002 low gravity jeep. And now pricing! The 1/72 set will go for $60 for the set. Individually the APC will be $23, the other 2 will be $21 each the 1/48 set will be $90 for the set. The APC will be $38 and the jeeps will be $30 each. I hope to have these available for Wonderfest so they will be done in the next couple weeks so get your orders in now. Send me a PM so I can get you on the list. I am also considering opening up a new thread for these in the models section so it will be easier to track. Thanks for all the support guys it's really appreciated.

Thanks for the compliments guys. First off I am happy to announce that the 1/48 scale kits are on their way! If you missed this run send me a PM. I have some extra kits. I will have them available at Wonderfest. But if you still want one please ask away. Now on to new business... I have started making molds for the 1/72 and 1/48 scale military vehicles set. The APC models are being sent to be printed and once they arrive, molds will be made. So that being said, please start getting you orders in for these, I plan on making them available for sale at Wonderfest as well. As I have told you all, any proceeds from these kits goes into the next one, and so on... I have finally gotten my vacuum chamber online so this process will move a little quicker. I will e sure to post in the for sale section. For the 1/60 scale guys interested in this set. Please make your voices heard. I would really love to make these a reality. Also, thanks to Neptunesurvey for encouraging me to convert these to 1/100 scale as well. I ordered a few for myself and they look great. This scale comes with no need for assembly since all the models will have to be printed due to the small details. I will try to cast one or 2 of these to see how they come out but those of you who were interested, 1/100 scale is now on the table. Thanks again everyone for the support and encouragement.
-
Okay guys, here is the finalized model for the APC. Unfortunately the 50 cal gun and another small detail could not be included due to the fact that it's too small to print. I'll look on the net and see if they make anything similar to it. I will leave this here til Friday for comments, and suggestions. After Friday, it will be sent off to be made and then orders will start to be accepted. The 1/48 set is almost ready to be sent out those of you who ordered a set should start getting shipment notices soon. thanks again for all your support.
-
Hey heavy they will be shipping this week. The sets are casted and I am packaging and shipping this week. Everyone who ordered a set will receive a notice when their set has shipped. I apologize for the delays guys, but I had to make sure that each set is just right and all the parts are there. I appreciate everyone's patience and support.
-
yeah that's what i get for buying a cheap camera. and yet it manages to make my kids look cute....
-
hello all, this has been long overdue but I'm getting ready for Wonderfest in addition to finishing up the 1/48 Ground vehicles and getting the molds made for the military set. The last parts FINALLY came in and I had to make molds for a few of the parts for the boom. I should start shipping this weekend. But I promised some photos of each of the kits, so here is what I have so far: I also finally got the 1/48 scale M-299 in so here are the pics for that: I only put the steering wheel in one picture, but each vehicle will get one. Also the piston will move on the boom and I still have a few things to finish up on the boom truck, so I will post an update on that when It's done. The APC model is almost finished and i will post it soon for approval and comments before I send it off to be printed. Thanks again everyone and if anyone wants to still get one of these kits, please feel free to PM me. I also apologize for the photos my camera is acting up. I bought a new one I have to set it up, so i will post better photos if requested.

Definitely a lot of anime magic with both of them. i totally understand your perspective. I figured the new angles might clear things up a bit. Sometimes I just have to explain my reasoning, but i think you may be right about the tanks. I may have to resize them. I always welcome constructive critizism. makes me rethink things from a different perspective and actually makes these models better. The boom truck was greatly improved by your suggestions. so keep them coming guys, If everyone puts in their 2 cents, it makes a better product.
-
Jardann thanks they will all come with steering wheels. I agree that the tanks look a little small, i will double check they look bigger in my 3d model. The wheels are okay. I went off the premise that both jeeps use the same size wheels, It is common, and in the lineart they both look the same. This vehicle was very hard to due because of the "anime Magic" if you look at the lineart the back appears to have this huge space for people to have legroom and in reality the wheel well actually cuts into that. this one had a LOT of stuff like that and in the lineart the wheels are spaced close to the chassis. In the lineart the middle section acts like a trailer hitch and flexes side to side and up and down which in what supposedly gives the vehicle it's ability to traverse rough terrain. This one was a toughy because looking at it from the 2 perspectives the front axle looks like it's off (at least to me) So I had to do a little compromising. All very good points and that is the kind of response I love. I'll take some more details pics from underneath and give you guys a better look. I actually modelled in some differentials on the bottom. Let me know what yous guys think.

Fam you are on the list! and now ironically the prototypes for some of the jeeps arrived today! I received the M299 in 1/72 and the xm 3002 in 1/72 and 1/48. here are the initial pics with 1/72 figures and 1/48 figures (sorry the head and arms are missing, but you will get the idea) So let's start getting some comments. I think the scales look right and the figs look pretty good in them. I'm still waiting for the m299 in 1/48th scale and some more of the 1/48 parts. the printers are busy but they are trying. I will be posting individual pictures of each of the 1.48 ground support vehicles that are almost finished, I'm just waiting for those final parts and a couple more casts. So here is more eye glucose guys: m299 in 1/72 (the smaller scales are printed in transparent because it's cheaper) the smaller kits are more detailed so I'm just trying to cut costs) the XM 3002 in 1/72: the 1/72 in parts: and the XM 3002 in 1/48: I will be posting pics of each of the 1/48 ground support vehicles all this week so keep posted.

Thanks Neko, I have you on the list
