OK thanks. I ordered a high-metal R valkryie from them last week but shipped with registered airmail instead of EMS to save a few dollars, but regretting because it seems these days airmail items are delayed heavily from Japan. Hopefully won't get hit with duties : )

OK. Thanks for letting me know about AmiAmi. It's good you were able to get a Kakizaki from Amazon too : ) I like how they have reasonable rates for DHL which somewhat offsets the additional customs fees. I only started to collect the Bandai DX valkryies in the past couple of months and I was worried about getting a Kakizaki since he was a web exclusive, but so far, it doesn't seem bad at all since he's available at multiple places and markup isn't too bad. Maybe it's because he's not the most popular character and lots of scalpers also bought extra for resale. I've seen comments on how the upcoming DX Roy will be worse in November. I'm curious with how it was with the VF-1S Strike valkyrie last year. Can we reasonable expect to still get one at near retail price during release week? I was thinking demand must be higher than Kakizaki but since it's a mass retail release, perhaps more stock in stores. Thanks in advance for any input.

Thanks a lot for the tip! I'll try this next time too. Great you could avoid customs for the YF-19. I bought the same item from Umeda I believe a few weeks ago and was hit for full customs charges to Canada. I find some stores like Nippon Yasan, My Kombini and Nin nin game are willing to declare a lower value. Another store I haven't tried is Amiami, but I think they also clearly state that they will not on the FAQ section. For my Kakizaki VF-1A DX toy, I purchased from Amazon and prepaid the customs fees.

I'm curious have you actually tried and successfully had Mandarake declare a lower value for the item when shipping? I haven't tried because I recall they state on their website that they would not do that. Thanks.

Hey, it's the same link. If it says not released until the 28th, it's because the particular seller they are referencing don't have it in stock until the 28th maybe. When I ordered, there were a few sellers that had it in stock so I could click on "add to cart" but they seem to be sold out now so only the "preorder" option is available.

I also bought one from Amazon tonight. It depends on the seller. Some ship internationally, some do not. I tried adding to cart and found one where I could complete the checkout process (to Canada). Currently, I see none ship internationally, but keep checking as they seem to come and go fast. Good luck!

That was fast to show up on YJA... haha... Hopefully prices will come down a bit. Really looking forward to a DYRL Max VF-1A and hopefully DYRL Max VF-1S release down the road as well.

Hi, I'm a long-time Macross collector. I have almost all of the Yamato 1/48 valkyries and didn't bother to get the 1/60 versions. Since getting the Arcadia YF-19 several years back, I've taken a break from collecting. I recently got a Bandai DX Max VF-1A and it is amazing. It feels so solid and I love the paint work. I'm looking to get a Bandai DX DYRL Kakizaki VF-1A that will be released anytime now but I missed the pre-order. Any suggestions on where to purchase? I see Nin-Nin-Game has it in stock but it's about $280 US. Just wondering if there are any cheaper recommended options. Thanks in advance.
