hmm... I'd have to rewatch it... but I didn't mind the ending... it wasn't an ending perse but what happned minutes before the first game. Skeith was too powerful so they all abondened the field and logged out... and so Aura was still needing to run away from Skeith, which you see at the start of the first game... and I can't remember how they fixed it so that Tsukasa could go back to this body.

Why would you want to see that, I could understand if she was actually atractive and looked like a woman, but come on she's got the body of a 12 yr old boy. Oh? I think Natalie's hot...

First off it's Maria not Marie Secondly Sumire die? She's not that bad if you play the games or watch the musicals and get to know the real her... And she dosn't die... but check out the Sumire retirement special (anime version on DVD from Funimation), Tomizawa Michie got tired of the hectic Sakura Taisen schedule so she stepped down and retired. The official story is she lost her spirit power and returned to Kanzaki Heavy Industries to work for her father and prepair to take over the company, when it comes time.

Rose of Versailles is historical fiction. It ended the only way it could possibly end. I don't see anything wrong with the end since it marks the beginning of the French Revolution and we all know what happens to Marie Antoinette (real once living person) and many other aristocrats. The final episode was just a recap of events you can find in any history book on France during that time period. OMG! ;p means I'm joking usually... of couse she dies, I do understand that many of the events in Rose are based on actual FACT! including the ending... IT WAS A JOKE... I couldn't think of 10 different items... so I posted a joke as the final one... give me a break. I'm sorry, if it didn't come across as a joke... but that was my intent... sheesh

Well, Berserk was, admittedly, cut short due to finances. It's a pity, too. The Manga was impressive. EDIT: Wasn't Hellsing in that boat, too? From what I recall, the (OVA?) was quite enjoyable. IIRC, the person behind the manga decided he did not like the animated treatment given to his work, so he cancelled all the further releases. oh I got... it... the perfect non-ending-you-need-to-read-the-manga-which-was-not-then-in-english ANGEL SANCTUARY!

... I like Trigun's ending... and Sailor Stars ended befor the manga and had a good ending... and so did FMA. oooh... I know. X the movie (that manga's still going on so it probably applies to the TV series to. must edit original post to put in X the movie.

I wonder if a Jedi could be so powerful he could lightsaber battle without using his hands. I guess it is beyond the Force to be able to do that, but it would kind of be like Funnels from Gundam, taking on a bunch of guys around you with you holding one saber and 3 or 4 floating around you slicing up guys attacking from your backside (since a Jedi can see into the future, he would be able to see blindside attacks Spidey style) I've thought about that too... You could probably do that in the Star Wars RPG if you really wanted to... hmmm... something to try. I don't want that... but a spoiler warning would have been nice... that's all... not that I REALLY CARE! Cause I was 100% sure that was what would happen and that would be the moment that Anakin turned to the Dark Side... when he struck down a defenesless foe... instead of showing mercy.

Remember when Animeigo was origanally doing this it was "the pre-order and that's it" so they probably didn't feel the need to get a long license... why pay for time they wern't planning to use? And now HG probably was asking more money for it then Animeigo could pay... if they offered to let them renew it at all.. A dub? Don't think it's going to happen... didn't they tell Animeigo not to dub it cause they didn't want another English Dub to compete with Robotech? Anyways I'll have to get the last volume but the only place I know that has it in town is asking 119.99 CDN for it.

This is kinda pushing it in the comedic sense... but I'll recomend my personal fav next to Macross Sakura Taisen (Sakura Wars)... now the problem with this series is the bulk of the story is in the games.... but in terms of what is out on DVD. Sakura Wars TV (Kinda Dark, Story Driven... full story... not comedic.. pretty good actually, not popular among ST fans but non ST fans might like it... animation simillar to that of FF: U) Sakura Wars the Movie (Production IG baby... dark, nice, make sure you know who the characters are before you watch it!!!) Sakura Wars OVA 1 (Slightly comedic... great music... okay story) Sakura Wars OVA 2 (Comedic for all.... but episodes 1, 5 and 6 have interesting and dark sub plots) Sakura Wars Sumire (skip it... it'll bore you to death... skip it). For the non-game fan I recomend OVA 1, TV, OVA 2, Movie in that order (and where the TV series disagrees with everything else... ignore it). now.... hmmm... what else could I recomend for you that isn't Steam Punk? Oh easily Gundam the 08th MS team of of course Zeta Gundam... those have probably already been said though.

I thought Doom 3 was supposed to more or less be a remake of Doom 1... with a PLOT... like what a Doom 1 movie would really be. I didn't think it was a different story but a remake with an expanded story... is that wrong? Edit: and am I wrong or... I think I remember friend telling me that in one of the earlier doom games... there was this part where you have to die... cause then you die at that part of the game and it moves into hell... is that wrong? Was he BSing me? Am I thinking of a different game? Am I crazy? Well wasn't RE supposed to be a prequal of sorts? (Thats what I belive the director/writer guy said in one interview). Mario Brothers and Double Dragon both. You know what... Mortal Kombat is probably one of the best Video Game movies in the North American market for staying faithful to the source material.

First of all imagine Disney... now imagine those evil words "Disney Vault"... there are lots of reasons and Sailor Moon was a different bag of kittens all together. With Sailor Moon they had the rights from Dic who got them from Toei... and Toei just wouldn't let them renew... they pretty much said "No, North America we are not going to let you renew any of your Sailor Moon rights... cause you screwed it up! BADLY! now you you never get Sailor Moon again!!! Whats more you know the Manga artist dosn't even like the anime... she much prefers the new live action show (and who can blame her?)" With HG... they are partnered with Tatsunoko... who OWNS the rights, dosn't lisence them from Big West but actually legitimatly owns them. I don't think HG's rights to Macross TV can expire as long as they are partnered with Tatsunoko... If anyone's rights have run out it's Animeigo's but there can be other reasons. for the most part the Macross DVDs seem to go the diehard Macross fans... most of whom picked up the set right away... so for one thing they might just think the market is to shallow at this time to keep putting it out there. I can think of lots of other good reasons too.

Admitidly I've only played part of Doom 3 (I've played a lot more Quake then Doom)... but Doom 3 is what I've played and um... "The devil is real... I know... I built his cage..." says... something about hell to me. but meh! whatever. -- Lord_Breetai You know... from Wolfenstein, to Satan's Hollow to Sakura Tasien 1... Well... I was hooked by Robotech the Macross Saga... We rented it from the video store... they only had the Macross Saga (none of the other two) in those 6 episode cut up volumes... we would rent the series over and over... it was just so cool. I had little or no interest in the other sagas, at first cause they didn't seem to be enough like the Macross Saga that I loved so much... it wasn't really until I learned that they were three unrelated shows in Japan that I got interested in the other parts of Robotech. Later I picked up some volumes of the perfect collection and also Macross II, then I saw Plus on TV. then I placed my first ever SASE order with a fansuber (for this was before the dawn of Digi subs *gasp*) and got DYRL, Macross 7 Vol 1, Flashback, Robotech the Movie the Untold Story, MOSPEADA love live alive (now for 10 points... what now defunct fansub distributor did I get that from?)... and... and... It was just an organic growth. But in the begining it was the Macross Saga.

crap... I still need the last box too... guess I'll have to get it right after Christmas.

I don't know sometimes some anime leave an impression... and dosn't Newtype do a poll of most popular series every month? I remember Sakura Taisen was on it for a long time... and I know one magazine did a poll for most popular female character, which Nausicaa was number 1 on for years and years... So sometimes older things can stick around more. (edit it was animage "Nausicaä was number one on Animage's monthly reader poll of favorite characters for over six years") But then again for the most part in Japan, shows are almost forgotten the moment they are off the air... or that's how it seems to me.

His head in indeed supposed to come off. Supposedly he made kind of a joke in an interview about LotR, because his head comes off in the extended version of RotK, and so he'll have lost his head twice. I think that's what it was. I wish you had listened to Duke when he said not to post the answer... not that I'm suprised by it at all.
