downstairs we have a nice big tv for the family. but in my room where the video games are... it's got an RF dial and only co-axial not even AV cords . And that's where the PS3 will probably go too... I got the TV for 3 bucks so I don't complain.

Of course there are exceptions to that, but I think that's what makes most asian shows more interesting then modern american shows, the fact that they don't keep dragging but have a clear focus. It's not a bad thing IMHO. And the giant fork prison was funny!

Yes but the damage looks a lot worse in a couple shots... I mean it kinda looks like the bridge is demolished there... even in the Robotech Wildstorm comics they showed the SDF-1 as being mostly intact afterwords. And with the scene with the bridge crew being tossed around... If I didn't know better from the offical story I'd say it'd be almost as ambigous as Char and Amuro's "Death" in CCA. But of course if Misa's closest friends were dead she'd probably be a little shook up. I mean I know you're supposed to see Misa and realize they were okay... and I can accept that it's a great ending to the series. but yeah just saying. One final question when was the battle with Kamjin? how long after Christmas, I'm just curious how long Minmay was at Hikaru's place.

Since this is Minakawa's explanation I'm more inclined to take it over Wiki speculation.

True they don't explain what happend to the Macross either way I guess you just assume the bridge crew is safe cause Misa didn't say anything.

Another clearer shot of the Arcadia... you know with all the impossible situations Leiji Matsumoto has come up with for Harlock to be in while still saying it's the same universe and same harlock... I'd almost accept that he could have been at the battle against Bodolza!

It's been more then some time since I picked up the Macross DVDs but for some reason I never got around to watching past the final battle with the Bodolza Fleet... until now. I was actually suprised to find myself crying at the end of it... there was much less expostion on the part of the three central characters then I remember watching the Robotech VHSs all those years ago. I seem to remember them going into a lot more detail to explain how Rick really loved Lisa and not Minmei... but here it's left unsaid and understood... there's also a sadder aspect to the Minmay character she's finally matured and reached the point where she really understands herself as a person. And she realizes that she can't be with Hikaru because she lives in a different world and that she could not stand the pain of having to wait for a soldier to come back to her... there's the sense that Hikaru still loves her but it's not just ment to be... and that made me cry. It's been many years since my love of Macross eclipsed my love of Robotech but watching those final moments you truly realize how rich a human drama is compared to it's american counterpart. I still can't say I hate robotech, I even like it a bit... but through what Macross left unsaid it proves to be a more masterful work of art... where as Robotech didn't trust it's watchers to get it on their own. Just my thoughts... things for me have finally come full circle. AD 2012, So long.

Really targeting issues were my problem with Battlecry 2-player either you have autotargeting on in which case it's impossible to miss, or you have it off and it's impossible to hit. But maybe my memory is foggy it's been years since I played it, maybe I'll give it another try before I judge it. And A.C.E. 2 as well. I liked battlecry though for single player... maybe I'll give another try at two player also cause I never got to play many real matches to get a feel for it. And yes if Macross for PS2 had a versus or co-op mode taht would have been awesome.

*spoilers* Why is it the Energon cube sounds like the matrix in the comics? (The Creation Matrix)??? would it have been so hard for them to use the Matrix as the thing that the autobots and decepticons are trying to retreive? that would have made the movie already a 1000 times better. Because Energon cube clearly has the route word Energy so it they wanted Energon they should have kept it as a power source... but if they wanted something to animate robots they should have had the creation matrix. Still going to watch the movie... I just can't not. but come on Every TF fan knows the matrix making it the objective would just be so much better then Megs could wear it on a chain like Lenord Nimoy-tron did, and at the end Optimus could put it in his chest. Edit: Not to mention it would open up things to include the Primus and Unicron of the comics in a sequal. And Starscream gets away when all the other decepticons are defeated? *yawn* come on done before.

I was wondering I noticed this game does have a 2 player mode would it make a good tournament game... I've run gaming for an anime convention for the past two years and this year I'd like to have something Macross-y for the 25th anniversay and Battlecry's 2 player sucks.. and I don't know about any other Macross/robotech macross saga games with vs modes.

Sorry if this has been asked before but... has it been confirmed wether it'll be region free for PS1/PS2/PS3 fuctionality like was rumored? Should I sell my Japanese PS2? if it's region free I'll go sell it tomorrow.

the impressive thing about it is how sturdy and manuverable it is in Robot mode while still being functional in "vehicle" mode... makes me wonder if transforming mecha might one day actually be possible... yeah right

Oh I'm so glad when I first heard about this I thought it was to be a Live action theatrical feature... The day any ultimates series get made into lives I'll cry... since it's just a cartoon I can file it away with X-men evolutions under weird animated AU crap that marvel should never have done... I can't stand the ultimite universe so I can't see myself picking this up.

Turner also did the art for the Superman/Batman story arc which dealt with the re-introduction of the Kara Zor-el Supergirl, possibly my favorite Superman Story-arc since the Reign of the Supermen and some of the best Art I've ever seen in a mainstream DC title.

Fraggle Rock was banned? I don't think it was banned in Canada at all... I remember watching it and getting Fraggle rock toys in my happy meal when I was small... I remeber quite liking it and also when they showed up in the Muppet Family Christmas. Don't know if I'd still like it today I kinda outgrew Muppets (at least the original Muppet show, aside from the Star Wars ep and a couple other good eps) but still like some of Jim Henson's stuff.

Here in lies my biggest problem with Kong... they go to an island populated with dinosaurs and bring back a giant monkey to put on display... screw that bring back the dinosaurs no matter how many of your crew gets killed to capture them, you'll still make a fortune. lord_breetai ((note I'm not really that cold hearted)) As for Mothra... can you really improve on Gojira Vs Mothra Vs Mechagojira Tokyo SOS or Gojira Vs Space Gojira? both of those had mothra and were quite good.
