From other movies I've seen him in, like "Life as a House" Hayden's a pretty decent actor... it's not his fault he got all that whinny dialouge to work with. I think he did a pretty good job as soon as he became Vader... when he went to kill the younglings he oozed malevelonce.

I don't mind that spin, it works well for scifi shows like Stargate, but shouldn't be dumped into Indiana Jones... which foccused on Hitler's obsession with supernatural artifacts and took it to a level, but what if they actually found those artifacts and one lone hero stood in their way... that was cool, to retroactively make them alien artifacts would be nothing short of lame. The trailer does say, "he protected the power of the devine" though... so hopefully that was still the biblical Ark of the Covenant unless devine is the name of the alien race... or the trailer is just trying to throw us off.

Really, cause you know that would piss off every Christian and Jewish fan of the series... I don't see him doing it, even if he wants aliens in this one it's totally uncalled for.

I never got past the part with the inept Zeons trying to capture the gundam and faling every episode but apparantly yes it does get better. Has great theme though... Exactly how? both the original Bionic Woman in the 70s and this remake did pretty well in terms of raitings. though I never checked out the new one.

Heh, weird when I was a kid in elementry I quite liked the Robocop live action series... maybe it's not as good as I remember it. I thought some of the mini-series since then have been okay as well (not good mind you, but okay for scifi channel original stuff).

That movie is old news... If I recall right it was already linked elsewhere. Actually I'd say it was damn good for a fan movie... but what makes it corny is... 1) According to Joe intelligence Apophis was an Egyptian god??? According to Joe intelligence? We need military intelligence to look this stuff up? the Joes don't have access to an encyclopedia? 2) Why didn't Snake-eyes snap the Baroness' neck as well? He takes out a small fry with no qualms but only punches out a big snake and just leaves her there so she can recover? 3) When Lady Jaye breaks to go for the stone why does she shout? "Yo Joe!" and draw attention to her with drawl? wouldn't it be better to hope she isn't noticed in the chaos? 4) Why does Bludd tell Duke that Baroness went after Lady Jaye? They didn't seem to know up till that point and Cobra would have taken the day right there. 5) Why the fart did the Cobra Troopers want to take off Snake-eyes mask? He's not "Batman" it's not like knowing his face is going to do you any good... either just shoot him or tie him up. It's stuff like that... and the whole ancient Egyptian artifact of teh powa! that GI Joe needs to avoid in the live action.

That doesn't rule out the possibility of that silly spelling from the toy packaging being the official romanization, but I just go with how it's said. the other spelling is too unwieldy... and as I pointed out in another topic the Japanese usually don't care too much about the romanizations they're just their for flavour often. There are of course big exceptions.

I disagree... because of the way that piece is used later and just it's general tone it doesn't sound right for an 80s training montage. I also have to wonder Gunbuster's composer Kohei Tanaka complained in an interview how sometimes it's embarrassing to see the way his music gets cut for the final release, especially when the scene is changed after his compisistion and doesn't fit well... I wonder what he'd feel after watching this version. I seriously will buy the R2 if I ever find a copy, just for the original music in that one scene.

Finally caught up with the series I don't think any Canadian networks are showing it so I had to DL... oh well. I actually like Megs as the mystery man pulling the strings, but scientist guy is pretty naive to not put the dots to together and figure out that talking head-dude is a bad guy. And it'll be more fun when he finally gets a new body, and comes back to lead the Decepticons. I do like how Starscream was powerful enough to take on the whole team as well... So since Optimus already died and came back to life in the pilot... does that mean we're going to not get a dramatic death and return out of him later? Not that he can't die more then once he died and came back twice in G1 (three times if you go by Japanese continuity). Honestly I hope Optimus gets some kind of point system for all his visits to "The Matrix/Well of Allsparks/All are one/Heaven thing" anyway I had misgivings about this series even after the pilot, but I do like it.
